Very well... it seems that it is my turn to comment.

I have already told you what are the main errors in the first version, so I'll comment the plot this time.

It is a very entangled plot indeed, full of thrill and never trivial. You have done a good job. I have some questions however: what is Tryadine? who is Veckert? why the hell people live under a great barrier and cannot see the sun?
The more I think about it and the less I seem to get it.

I hope that the project will be ultimated as soon as possible =)

anyway the main bugs are in the tileset, you should ask someone to help you to find them.
Jens of Zanicuud
If you've played Day 2 Demo, you should have found some other hint about what Tryadine is.

what you should know 'bout Tryadine
It's a drug. You should have understood that from the beginning;
if a person doesn't take their dose for three days, they die;
the police recruit near the houses tell you something about Tryade criminal syndicate (remember it. Later, this name will be bound to something);
it flows in Haemophages' veins (remember and think...);
people from district 7 are Tryaddicted (neologism smile.gif) (even children, as you could see);
people from high districts are Tryaddicted too, but they can't admit it...
do you think the Tryadine smuggler outfit was chosen by chance?

As regards Veckert... well, what are the infos you've got about that character?

what you should know 'bout Veckert
You found out the age, 26 years old by talking with Theresia Angeli at Spectra Labs;
You know Veckert attended Lin Collain College (again, remember that info - this is someway important);
You know Veckert was scarred by something or someone two years before the facts (dialogue with the police recruit) and wears that mask from that event on;
You found out Veckert knows a girl named Laese (that is Moe's sister) and had a relationship with her;
You should have understood Lyonell was something more than a teacher for Veckert.

About Huge Crisis...

what you should know 'bout Huge Crisis
There was a Crisis at a certain point and the Shield was built as a result;
the crisis is bound to Haemophages;
during the Crisis, Tryadine made its appearance;
Nothing more for now, I know it isn't too much, but this is it at the moment...

Think, think well 'bout it...
I'll provide further details and hidden hints in Day 3 smile.gif

"I really do like being cryptic" smile.gif

New update:

Day 3 is officially under development (that is, I'm working on it & begun mapping).

There's a new feature as regards battle system:
characters can perform actions during a fight.

For example,

- if Veckert has no weapon equipped, is able to unarm an opponent (example: a smuggler), forcing them to recover their weapon or fight with melee attacks (60% success rate);

-Laese can steal a weapon held by an enemy and equip it, if equippable, with a 30% success rate (obviously, corrected by pain percentage);

-Cybil can hack robots and send them in System Crash (30% success rate).

-Eric can kill Fainted enemy in one hit (100% success rate).

These actions are peculiar for every character and are available from the beginning, but in some circumstances, other actions make their appearance:

for example, in Day 3, Veckert will be able to call for reinforcementes and two turns after the call, two police agents will run into battle and act as party members for the entire fight.

This feature was fully tested&working, so you can be confident they'll be actually included into next Demo.

Call for help

I've some serious problem about battle system graphic design (HUD, hp bars? pain bars? weapon equipped?)
If someone has a couple of good ideas about it, I'll surely take it into careful consideration.

Thanks in advance,

Jens

I like your creature names, nice and scientific sounding. I like the labs area as well as the ticket office map. The streets map look nice, bleery and dark as well. Was your story subdivision concept (three weeks, seven days even) inspired by The World Ends with You?

Seven days, three chapters... but you've got it smile.gif

The World Ends With You is one of my favourite RPG ever, but I've also drawn inspiration from 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors as regards atmosphere and character development.

BTW, the story is subdived like this at the moment:

Chapter 1: Late Night Nightmare

Day 1 [complete]
Day 2 [complete]
Day 3 [WIP]
Day 4

Chapter 2: [Name top secret ATM]

Day 5
Day 6 - part 1
Day 6 - part 2

Chapter 3: [Name top secret ATM]

Day 6 - part 3
Day 7 - part 1, 2 and 3

As regards scientific names... have you noticed Laurent Fourier's name was inspired by a useful math tool in physics?

Thanks for your appreciations,

BTW, if you someone would like playing the Demo, I'd really need to have some feedback, since I'm working on Day 3 with a single comment on Day 2...

I found a few oddities...such as the weak pain-killers saying they last for 3 turns, when they practically act like a potion and heal that amount. Initially I thought it would be a short-term "stimulus" type effect that reduced pain by 45% for 3 turns, then returned them to original values prior to usage.

I also found a spot where I could walk passed the borders: when you reach section 2 for the first time; when you cross the streets and head downwards toward a red arrow that prevents you from going forward, but if you go a few tiles to either the left or right, then head downwards, it allows you to pass through into the black space.

Weak Painkillers lasts three turns. The pain healed this way gradually rise in the next five turns.
Let's insert a little explanation:

Veckert has 1000 Pain, you use Weak Painkiller and recover 450 Pain.
At 4th turn, Veckert's pain will rise by 10% of 450 (that is 45);
at 5th turn, by 20% (90);
at 6th turn, by 30% (135);
et cetera, et cetera, et cetera...

Thanks for the tileset bug report, I'll fix it ASAP.

Ahh, so that's how it works. I didn't know, which was why I brought it up.

This sounds unique but i swear i have either played a game or seen a movie thats almost exactly like this but oh well great job keep up the work..

@mooshra

This is why you don't know the entire plot...
When you'll find out what "Tryadine" is and what's the bond within Lyonell, Veckert and the other charas, I think you'll change your mind:)
(BTW, it will be a looong time, since I've only completed Day 3 out of 7...)

Anyway, I'm proudly announcing that Day 3 is on, just a few days of debugging and I'll post the new Demo (average play time: from 1h to 2h).

Thanks to lethitax for a precise grammar/spell review of Day 1 smile.gif

For any doubt, advice or news, just PM me.

There's a little annoying problem with the HUD.
It won't affect the game but can spoil some cutscene.

I'll fix it in no time, sorry but I've got no problems while playing it...
Every problem comes out after I create the package...

Jens

EDIT:

Wait for new demo. I'm working on it.
Patch it's not safe ATM.

There's a known compatibility issue with Day 2 final save.
If you load from that save file, you won't be able to open your menu.
If you are in that situation, then:

> Download this Patch:

Wait for new demo. I'm working on it.
Patch it's not safe ATM.

Extract these files in your Tryadine Effect folder (you game's folder should share this appearance):

-- if you've downloaded the previous patch, just overwrite it --

then enable patches from title screen options.

This is it, sorry but I have few bug busters at the moment...

Jens
lethitax
Ok, so basically; I downloaded the patch and the new version, but instead of installing it in the same place as the previous demo: I decided to install it elsewhere. I also accidentally had another folder with the same name as the patch folder for this game, so it ended up creating a duplicate with a (1) next to it.

I believe that's where the problem began: I placed the patch into the new Tryadine folder I made, and there was another patch folder there as well, but it didn't over-write; as the names were not exactly the same. I ended up deleting the patch folder that was originally there and then started the game. One of two problems arose due to this:

1. I still can't access the menu with the patch enabled in the options.

2. If I try to start from the beginning of the game: I get this message right when Veckert leaves the train;

http://s426.photobucket.com/albums/pp341/X...rrent=Tryn3.jpg

Now I've already tried the following:

A. Re-install the new demo into the directory where the old demo was.

B. Uninstall the demo entirely and re-download the new demo, then re-install.

C. Re-download the patch file and install it into the new Tryadine folder, which no longer came with its own patch folder.

D. Uninstall and delete everything, even the saves and anything else related to Tryadine; then re-download the new demo and install that.

I'm not very savvy with the mechanics behind how these games are made, but I've spent about an hour or so repeating those procedures; option D, being the last resort. I think I'll just wait until you have some of the new bugs ironed out first, before trying anything, as right now I can't progress from my previous saves, nor can I start anew.
The Law G14
Hey man sorry I haven't given any feedback in a looong time, I'll try this new demo out since it has three days and give some thorough feedback and tell you about any bug reports. However, since lethitax's post, I'll wait until everything until I download. Hope you best of luck!

Oh well that's a pity!
I have continued my save file and it works. However, there's a little problem later on in the demo since file "092-Attack 04.ogg" is missing. You should copy it from the Standard RTP folder and paste it in the Audio/SE folder.

I'm truly sorry 'bout that.

I'll try fixing'em ASAP, I promise.
Maybe I'll post a new link today...

EDIT: Demo V 3.0 (Days 1, 2 and 3)

I fixed it! (well, there are some tilesets issue, but I'm too tired to fix it just now... I've discovered them just after uploading the file...)

Jens
lethitax
You're making good progress, but still have a ways to go; atleast in terms of the dialogue Xd.

Days 1 and 2 have been polished up, but there are still some spelling/grammar issues to sort out, and Day 3 is rather rough around the edges. I'll most likely send you the details later >_>....as in maybe a week or so from now, since I'm not feeling too well at the moment.
Jens of Zanicuud
Thanks for your feedback and grammar&spelling review:)
What about plot, characters, settings, etc?

I had barely no feedback about this point, except for some review and comment.
I've written down the whole plot and made some little modification while transposing it to the game (maybe I'll post some paragraph from the .doc file... Day 2 and Day 3 had been rather modified in that process, BTW I'm quite satisifed with the result)

Jens

Wll, I played the demo and... It is fantastic. Really. Sensations, feelings, dispair. If this is only a part of the complete game... well I'm waiting smile.gif Please Jens, continue this game! smile.gif
The Law G14
Hey man, finally got this all written up and set. Here’s some in-depth feedback and I hope it helps you out. I wasn’t able to complete the demo, I got all the way to near the end of Day 3 but I couldn’t defeat the first noctophage when trying to leave that building with my torch and everything. Literally it was impossible because I had too much pain sad.gif But as for the feedback, just to give you an early sneak-peak…the demo was quite awesome biggrin.gif

Feedback: Tryadine Effect

Systems/Features: 6/10
The features or systems that were implemented in the game were done very nicely, like the Menu System was perfect with the representation for equipment data and that heartbeat signal and the Pain and Blood System was also creative and unique. However, my problem with this area was that I didn’t feel like there was enough unique features/systems that you can be like “Hey, this game had so many great features, like the Pain and Blood System, and this system, etc.” I mean, even the little things, like the torch system can be taken farther. Or you could add the ability for the player to actually call people and find out information. And I know you can think up stuff man, because the menu was extremely creative and amazing along with the Pain and Blood System (With that reinforcements idea)!

Graphical Appeal: 7/10
Graphically wise, this demo was pretty good. I loved how in certain scenes you could actually see everything, like the intro, the train scene, Dr. Fourier talking, that was impressive. Moreover, even though everything wasn’t over the top amazing in terms of graphics, everything was consistent in style. The only thing I would suggest working on is maybe some more custom character graphics that look more in tune with the tile set? In any event, great job on the scenes, tile sets, menu design, etc. it was very good overall graphically wise.

Music: 9/10
The music was perfect for every scene. Don’t know where you found it, but it really amplified the feeling each scene brought. Only thing is that some pieces overplayed a little.

[/b]Story and Dialogue: 8/10[/b]
Dialogue Errors
When Veckert walks into the crime scene:
“I’m pretty accustomed to this [should be ‘these’] kind of brutal deaths...”
Talking to Blame
“I have to inspect the whole area, [remove this] before jumping…”
Talking to Blame after inspection
“Someone wanted us to believe it was Hameophage. L[1] [What’s this lol]”
Talking to Mie
Have [Did] you noticed [remove] anything suspicious, last night?”
Talking to Keef
“Go back to your “faboulous” [should be fabulous] [DISTRICT 1]!
“I’m not such [add ‘a’ right here] rich, [remove] guy”
Have [Did] you seen [remove] or heard [change to ‘hear’] something [change to ‘anything’] unusual last night?”
Talking to Geveree
“…have [Did] you seen [remove] or heard [replace with ‘hear’ anything unusual, [remove] last night. [change to ‘?’”
“Definitively” this seems a bit awkard in that context, maybe just say “Yup, there was”.
Talking to Mei, change first line to:
“Did you see or hear anything…strange recently?”
“…but after but after [delete]…”
Talking to Yanette
Do the same thing like for Mei
Talking to Earn
Men [should be ‘Man’]…that was…”
Talking to Julia
“Veckert, Earn told me anything [should be everything]”
After talking to everyone and Blame calls you and Veckert start thinking
“What could have they found” change to “What could they have found?”
“Blame shows no emotion at all, [remove] while speaking”
“…but I [I’ve] know him since my early…”
Eastern
“Some Hameophages succeeded in overcomee [ing] our...”
“I’ve only [got] to stop them…”
Mr Fourier
“My fellows, we have lost one of the most brilliant mind[s]…”
Next text box cuts off some text
Again, next text box cuts off some text
The next text box is also cut off
In fact there are several more text boxes with cut off text, I don’t want to hog it up all here lol so make sure you go through again to test if everything is fitting properly.
Is Veckert from Distrct 5 or 7?
Girl in Spectra
“Anyway, can how can I help you?” [worded wrongly, remove first ‘can’]
“Damn, I have a weakness for this [these]…”
Starting to get lazy so I’m gonna stop looking for dialogue errors for now sad.gif Sorry, but just re-test Day 2 and maybe Day 3 if I don’t do that one to check for that. I’m going to keep playing, I’m just getting hooked so I don’t want to keep switching out to write down grammar errors.

Story and Dialogue Opinion
Besides the grammar mistakes, as long as you fix that, this category was beautifully put together. I feel every character was consistent with the original traits you displayed on them in the beginning and I believed all conversations flowed very natural and normal, and everything seemed very realistic. Moreover the story is being presented amazingly, always keeping you with questions while slowly providing you valuable information. However, some things could have been unclear, what district is Veckert from? Besides that, this area was great.

Mapping: 9/10
The mapping and environment captured exactly the feel I believe you were trying to emulate. At first I was wondering why everything was so dark (and I usually hate dark maps lol) but then it’s explained that that is due to the SHIELD. Moreover the train station gave me the perfect feeling of being actually at train. I can’t really say anything I disliked on the maps, so great job here!

Battle Mechanics/Gameplay: 7/10
Now, the system used for battling was creative and awesome. First of all though, let me talk about battle mechanics, how battle flowed out, etc. Well mainly, I think if the help option (like I will describe in my bug report) I would have probably felt better about battle, but I feel some options were not really user friendly, and it was hard to remember and find out what keys to use to switch weapons, etc. Moreover, the layout of battle was a little plain, I mean you don’t have to make it way to “eye-candy” but in my opinion it could looked for unique like the menu system. Finally, besides that, battling was very fun with this Pain and Blood System. I liked how battling wasn’t always “IN YOUR FACE OMG”, but I think a little more encounters would have been sufficient and also a way to maybe feel like you’re getting stronger like some stats upgrade page? Because I kept getting destroyed by the four Hameophage assault. Good job though in this area man!

Bug Report
Lol, well in the help screen, you have something that says “Sh*t to previous..” that should probably be “shift”.

The Battle Tutorial doesn’t move on to the next page.

Not really a bug, but could you make the controls more “user-friendly”? Because when it says to switch players, I have to move between like V I think and another key?

When you try to switch weapons as a reinforcements agent, an error pops up “Script ‘sub-weapon’ line 120: NoMethodError occurred. Undefined method ‘+’ for nil:NilClass”

The screen stays grey after Blame makes a statement that he’s recovering if he died in battle.

After I got the First Repair Kit from the dead robot (the one before meeting Eni) than I went to my items and got this error: “Script ‘SCENE_ITEM_ALL’ line 105: ArgumentError occurred. Comparison of RPG:Weapon with RPG::Armor failed.”

Overall Opinion: 7.5

Great work man, just fix those grammatical errors and fitting your text in the box and maybe add a couple more creative systems. Besides that, great job on this, I really really wanted to find out how Day 3 ended, so maybe you could tell me in a spoiler? Lol great job man! I look forward to Day 4!

Well, thanks again for a precise review smile.gif

Let's answer some of your questions:

1. I'm working on game mechanics but haven't any idea ATM. I was thinking to add a Resident-Evil-like slot item system, but I feel it could be superflous. Anyway, I will add a select-day-new-game-option. This is for sure.

2. Try ending Day 3, because if I spoiler something, I'll really ruin you the surprise. REALLY!

As regards that Noctiphage:

3. Haven't you got a backup First Aid Kit? Have you checked the dead bodies?
4. Remember: Noctiphages fear the light... if you act wisely, you should fight only one Noctiphage in the whole Day 3.
5. Anyway, that Noctiphage is the last true obstacle, I swear! What about having a backup save data at the beginning of every day?
I know my system is difficult, but this is something like a life insurance smile.gif
6. The HSIG isn't a good weapon to fight with if you have a fair amount of pain. Check in the room when Leader tell you the whole story and you'll find a knife. The knife has lower attack but better precision and damage increasing according to the target's pain.

As regards plot:

7. That girl in Floor -1 isn't Eni. Sorry for the misunderstanding. She has the same hair cut, but she's gray-haired, not azure-haired smile.gif
8. Veckert is the main point in my game. Everything revolves around Veckert, since Veckert is well known by every living soul in St. patrick but is barely a stranger for the player. You must figure it out yourself, a Demo after another. Anyway, I'll provide new details in Day 4.
9. Veckert was born in District 7 but moved to District 5, where lives at the moment.

Thanks again,

Jens
The Law G14
Alright thanks for answering the questions, but I tried again to fight the Noctophage and man I have 79% pain and even though I have full health it doesn't matter even with the knife, it's literally impossible for me to win. I have no first aid kits or anything, is there possibly anything I can do? Today is the last day I can play as I'm leaving tommorow so if there's nothing, can you just spoil me then, it's really no big deal lol

EDIT: Okay, I quit lol I've tried way too many times now. Could you send me a link to a save file that goes right past that point?
Jens of Zanicuud
Okay, I'm working on Day 4 now.
That should take long, since I've to create some more picture...
Day 4 is a sort of "Crossing the Rubicon" in Tryadine Effect, so I have to care about every detail.
With Day 4, Chapter 1 will be finally completed.
However I've some problem in fixing dialogues, since I have a discrete English grammar knowledge but I almost lack vocabulary/common phrases experience (I've never talked with a native speaker).
I'd be really pleased if someone could make a Day 3 dialogue review smile.gif

Anyway, someone mentioned dialogues cut by the message windows.
I've found out this is a problem which occurs only in Windows 7 or 8. Windows XP users haven't found that glitch.
I don't know how to fix it, the only idea I have is to rewrite some dialogues to fit the boxes, but I don't know which.

Apart from tileset issues and grammar check, the Demo should work fine. There are two known bugs, however:

1. If your item bag contains both armors and weapons (i.e. you've unequipped your characters' armors or you've acquired a third weapon for Veckert) don't open the battle items section while in the menu:
your game will freeze and return an error. I've still fixed it, but never uploaded the new demo (it's just a minor issue; you can check equipment from equip scene, there's no need to check it in the item scene ATM);

2. When you call for reinforcements in Day 3, never change policeman's weapon with V or B commands:
your game will freeze and return an error. Fixed, but not in this demo.

3. If one of your chars die in battle, the screen will remain in balck&white after that battle. Just exit from the room and return back to restore the usual screen colour. Fixed, but not in this demo.

As regards commands... I've listed them in the .txt which comes with the Demo. Anyway...

Move:
WASD or directional arrows;
Switch weapons in battle/Characters in Map:
V or B key
Select/Confirm:
Enter, Space or C key
Exit/Cancel:
Esc or X key;
Menu help / Torch ON-OFF:
Z Key;

I'm gonna release Chapter 1 (that is the story from Day 1 to Day 4 included) new Demo.

DEMO::CHAPTER 1

I'm waiting for some feedback, since I worked really hard on it
I hope you'll enjoy the game.

>What's new:

>New Day to play with three different paths, according to the hunter chosen;;
>New battle HUD / new HUD implemented;
>Escape mechanics implemented;
>Bugs and glitches fixed.

This is Chapter 1 end, from next Demo Chapter 2 will begin.

Again, I apologise for my far from perfect English, but I'm trying improving it little by little smile.gif

Jens

EDIT: Demo released smile.gif

Yeah finally I can play another Day in Tryadine Effect smile.gif I'll reply soon!!
Jens of Zanicuud
Thanks, 3rr3, I was looking forward to someone testing it smile.gif
I need even more feedback if possible...

Any bug&glitches /grammar check/ gameplay report would be really precious smile.gif
If anyone finds something wrong, just reply on this topic.
If anyone has any comment on Day 4, just let me know smile.gif

Jens

EDIT:
I've found a bug in the Demo. In Day 4, for now don't select Laese as third party member, since the escape engine was glitched by a new Input module script I put into the project. I'll fix the problem ASAP.
Eric's and Cybil's paths should be bugfree, though.
From Day 1 to the hunter choice there should be no problems, so if you have donwloaded it yet, just play it and wait for the fix to use Laese...

EDIT:
Fixed. New link:
TE: Chapter 1 Demo
If anyone find anything wrong, please report it to me.

Interesting looking game but isn't 99% of world population being drug addicts a bit overkill? In a such situation you would expect that large part of the world's population has already died off because of some drug. It would be more believable if it was drug which didn't harm so fast or almost at all.

That is exactly what Tryadine is.
Tryadine has no side effects. Simply, if you don't take it for a certain period of time, you die.
Tryadine addiction is exactly that. People who can't assume Tryadine for more than five days are in life danger.
99% of theliving population is Tryadine addicted. I haven't specified how many human beings are living on the Earth, in my game.
However, Tryadine is easily found in [CREATURES]' blood and [CREATURES] are damn fast reproducing, so there's a sort of equilibrium.

I'm sorry not having said this in the main topic, but I thought it was better leaving the player with that question.

BTW, why don't you try the Demo? Maybe you could find the answer you were looking for...

Menu options under Items and entering to battles causes game to crash. Even during usage of compatibility modes. I even tried to re-install. Other than that it is plagued by grammatical mistakes, but that does not bother me and you even noted that those are there.

Also having robot basically as your chief on the crime scene. Is funny.

Never found this error 0.o
I've never experienced it before... neither me nor any of my bet testers 0.o

As regards grammar, you're right, but remember I'm not English and I'm constantly improving my language.
You shouldn't see my first demo, then - you can imagine how many spelling mistakes...

I'm truly sorry.

What kind of error do you find when starting battles? The exact same you mentioned before?
I'll try fixing it, then.

Thanks for debugging smile.gif

Okay, I've got it.

I couldn't find those errors before... because they occur only if you start a new game (I continued from a save file).
I'll fix it ASAP. This evening (GMT + 1) I'll post the fixed demo.

Thanks a lot, Clord, you actually saved me smile.gif

DEMO::CHAPTER 1

Jens

Excellent.
The Law G14
I’ll be writing a review (well, until I get too lazy lol) while I play through the game, giving my thoughts!

Whoa this is a cool introduction to Day 4! This newspaper and the messages popping up…I’m thinking this is all Veckert thinking while looking at the newspaper. WTF?! Veckert Rainer…the culprit?! What?! Oh…I misunderstood lol But I’m kinda confused…hm…suspended? Nice, we’re going to District 7, home! (I think lol? That’s where he was born correct?)

So I’m walking around trying to find Mie…Talk to Enzio and find out some good information on where to get Mie and also…my confusion is cleared up a bit, apparently Veckert has been suspended by Commander Keane. But why? Anyway, off to Moe’s Tavern.

I’m in the tavern and I see a girl named Cybil, and I’m thinking she’s gonna be important because she has her own face graphic lol! We start talking and she wants me to sign a paper to save this AI, much like Blame? I think that’s what’s up. I then go up to Moe and this guy is funny lol, but he talks about how Mie was in yesterday evening crying and hasn’t seen her since…well off to explore some more! As I’m about to leave, Cybil gives me some weird warning, now I’m getting scared lol.

I talk with some more civilians…like Geveree who apologizes for thinking Veckert was a traitor, he words his statements very nicely actually. I keep talking to more civilians and they’re all saying the same thing that they haven’t seen Mie since like yesterday. I think about going down the elevator...but I’m too scared lol…damnit looks like that’s the only option left…time to go to level -1. Oh, I just run into Kroemer and he won’t let me in…ok. So now I’ve run out of leads until I notice Julian walking around and he tells me to talk to some lady at the station! Well off I go!

So I meet this lady and I’m getting kinda creeped out lol. I let the cutscene play on…(Critique: I believe Veckert should face the lady after a little bit) Woops! Now I get a bug and I can’t move anymore! After the old lady leaves, I’m simply stuck!! Check it out man!
Clord
You can get stuck to second battle if you do too badly in the first one where you are still learning the "unique" combat system. Healing in-between the first and the second battles would do the trick and still show how to combat somewhat effectively against more than one foe. After few tries I resorted to Pistol (and I'm aware you can swap your weapons if some strange reason other weapon offers something better for the situation at the hand, but the fact that in the beginning Pistol is superior weapon, there is no really point in that either) and finally passed that encounter. After I got second party member and actually items to reduce pain, combat became much easier.

What do you intend with "a little bit"? I'm not understanding, sorry, that's because my English is not good enough...
Anyway, I'll check it. You are telling me the bug is at the Railway Station, right?
I'll fix it then.

Thanks, Law, your debug is always precious smile.gif
BTW, I haven't found that damn bug.
I just wonder what the Hell is happened...

Exactly what kind of bug? I've played it again (and I made no modifications) and didn't get stuck. Veckert is able to move as always.
Can you send me a screen?
I really haven't any suggestion.

@Clord
Yes, I know, but think that I have already modified it to make it easier.
Anyway, the gun is great as the main weapon in the early encounters, while the knife has some different feature (e.g. blood skills the gun has not) which would become pretty useful in the next days. In addition, remember that a knife do much more damage if the enemy is gonna die.
BTW, I could really heal the player after the first fight... anyway, I knew that would be difficult, but I never thought it could be so much difficult.
Thanks for the feedback smile.gif

Will play it more today, I'm on a second day/chapter. I like those voice effects in the certain places. Those voices sound a rather professionally made.

Thanks smile.gif I'm actually a train-traveler-for-study, so I spend hours in train stations and this is why I decided to add a touch of realism to those maps.

I've not found the bug Law found before, so I can't understand if that is only his version's fault or this is actually a bug I'm not able to find.
If anyone else remains stuck into Day 4, please, PM me or reply.
In the worst case, just send me your save file and I'll fix it.

Jens
The Law G14
Sorry Jens, that was a mistake on my part, no bug. Well, actually if you keep holding down the UP when walking into the trainstation I think that's how the bug happens...I'm not sure though. Anyway...

Alright, so with that false “bug” out of the way, I go onto Yanette’s house so I can find Mie. I go inside the house…and nice, a picture cutscene! You’re really good at these man! (Grammatical Error: Veckert says “You are twentysix years…” it should be “You are twenty six years…” Looks like we also get more background knowledge on Veckert’s past, such as his father committing suicide due to Veckert…hm…I think I have a good feeling why lol. Oh look, Mie gives me this remote control thing that I can use for that guy at Floor -1. But I don’t really wanna go down there lol…

Alright, I’m inside the door that was blocked like Kroemer, time to explore and put my torch on! So Kromer gives me the permit after I open that door and I prepare to move forward. Hm…three more doors in the next room, with two of them being accessible…Bottom left is just a bunch of barrels…top right must be the right room. I keep moving down this corridor with this weird elevator until I make it to another room that’s kind of weird I guess. I look around and I find a letter to Eni. Lol, Windows 7 an old operating system? How far is this into the future lol? Anyway, I decided to go around the whole place to figure out what to do next. Nice! After a bunch of walking I finally open up some random door with a code I found in that letter. Anyway, I find report number 2 in that complex place. Oh cool! I start controlling the robot lol Now, it’s asking for an activation code…hm…let me think…ah got it! Time to try out that elevator!

Well that wasn’t the right thing to do, so I look around until I get to a room with a computer and a cabinet type thing where you can type a code with three knobs. I’m completely lost lol! I’ll keep trying…Alright after a bunch of tries and ideas, I’ll take a break…my brain hurts lol
Jens of Zanicuud
The game is set in 2062, so Win 7 is something like old smile.gif
Just look the date on the newspaper...

Anyway, there's a hint (the computer screen).
If you fail enough times, you'll be rewarded with some hints.

I'll post the solution of the enigma:

Solution of the enigma
The code is actually 518 (that is, the hour displayed on the computer screen - the carpe diem sentence refers to that number). Notice that the clock is mirrored, so you must input the numbers on the knobs on the opposite way:
there are 16 numbers (the 16th is actually the 0), so 5 would be (16 - 5) = 11; 1 would be (16 - 1) = 15 and 8 remains 8.
Try and let me know.

Tell me if it is too much difficult to understand...

Can you PM me the good feeling you had 'bout Veckert's father's suicide?
I'm just curious 'bout it.

Jens
The Law G14
Alright got the enigma thingy to work! Thanks! Moving on! So I acquire Report #3…I’m liking this finding evidence and clues type thing! After going around a bit, I find a locked door and unlock it! I guess with the new code we found in that report #3. I go inside and a cutscene happens….however the date of these papers say 2011..before this “crisis”…interesting. Anyway, we get some back story on the crisis, and this Collain guy died a while back and that’s when everything started? I’m a bit confused lol But one thing is for sure, something’s up with that Forgotten Mansion (it’s called Collain Manor, right? Or was that the name of the guy?). Anyway, I collect the yellow paper shard and prepare to leave!

I head off to Moe’s Tavern and I’m assuming that’s too get Cybil to tag along with me to the Forgotten Mansion. In the tavern there are some “hunters”? What’s that? Is it like people that hunt Hameos? Is that what Cybil is? So now I get to choose which person to go with…I’m not much of a fan of this lol I don’t really like choices that dictate endings lol but whatever, I’m about to choose Cybil when…ERROR! “NoMethodError occurred while running script. Undefined method “hunter choice=” for #<System_Settings:0x6def258>

Thanks, Law. I'll fix it ASAP.
I'll send you a new link, unfortunately there was a script error I haven't found before.
Maybe there's a solution:

replace your Settings.rxdata file (you find it in the save file folder) with this one:

http://www.mediafire.com/?2h85t0r0fga2ova

It's a sort of placebo. It will let you finish the Demo.

I'll post a new one fixed soon.
When you finish Day 4, you can restart the game before the hunter choice.
Just select New Game to play with Laese or Eric smile.gif

Anyway, hunters are exactly Haemos' hunters, 'cause there is a good request for those creatures' Tryadineful blood.
If I remember well, Veckert says something about this before selecting the third party member.

EDIT: New link to the fixed Demo:

The Law G14
Alright! It’s finally up and running. I choose Cybil! (no pokemon reference intended). Anyway, they discuss some intense stuff and decide to meet up that night so they can cross the SHIELD, this is getting really interesting!!

Ok, this is getting too epic lol, from here on out from the railway station, I want to just enjoy the full experience. I’ll write down if I find any errors or bugs though, and I’ll give you my short experience summary after I’m done smile.gif

Bugs:
1. When I move to that room to the left of the train station and go down the stairs, he says the same thing he says when he first enters District 7 at the beginning of Day 4, about how train tickets are too expensive and that he needs to find Mie.
2. Ok, you know that small room you enter from behind the train tracks after Veckert says “I’ve never seen it from this point of view”. Ok after that room, you go to a little bigger room and one hallway has a green arrow and another has a red arrow. You can walk through the red arrow.

Anyway, besides that, great finish to Chapter One. This game is really amazing. The boss of this Day was pretty overpowered though lol but besides that, nice job man!
Jens of Zanicuud
I can tell you a couple of things:

the boss isn't overpowered smile.gif There's a nice FAQ in the first page on how to beat it in little time.
BTW, if you start a new game, you'll be able to start right before the choice;
Laese and Eric will give you less details about the SHIELD, for different reasons.
Laese's path is shorter but intense. You will be provided with more plot details in Day 5 (you'll understand why they have no time to lose if you play her story)... and you'll understand the meaning of time in the boss battle (!!!)
Eric's path is different too. He will take Veckert in another location and give little details...
You won't have to beat robots with him... just some cheerful CREATURE smile.gif

Anyway, thanks for feedback, I'll check & correct the bugs soon smile.gif

Boss FAQ
Q: I cannot beat the HG-74S Shield Gate guard. If I hit it too hard, it recovers.
A: You must not give it the haemorrhage status, otherwise it will recover a huge part of its Oil. Don't use regular attacks, just take it down with blood skills like Bloody Dagger. This way, the boss won't be able to recover. Remember that only Eric's Blood Skills can cause haemorrhage, together with regular attacks.

Your project has already a better looking page than with the many more popular RPG maker related games.

Clord, I removed your link as it served no purpose to this thread other than luring people to another site, which is not allowed. Also, please when posting, please try to provide more feedback than simply telling a person the game looks good. Feedback should explain what you liked about it, and what (if anything) could be done better.

Is the face supposed to be a complete mystery? I ask this because when the main protagonist of the shows the ID Card to other persons, you can even after that darkening effect see pretty much her entire face how it was before the side effects.

Uh - oh... I must darken it a bit more...
On my PC I've never succeeded into seeing the details...
Maybe, it's just because I'm running it at the lowest luminosity level possible to preserve battery...

Thanks, I'll fix that.
Anyway, that should be a sort of mystery till the end, so this fact is rather unpleasant.
