I finished the drawing of my main character (Apart of the cape which I couldn't find any pictures to help me make it look decent)

What is your opinion people?

You have a good drawing style...
However, it seems like a standard-jrpg-main-character, though the clothes make him look like a barbarian or a roman soldier...
I think this could fit any medieval-styled-rpg you can make, it's a rather good character...

The overall design is... 7/10 in my opinion.

I'm a fan of science-fiction, futuristic or at least modern RPGs, with robots, soldiers, scientists, spaceships et cetera, et cetera, and as a result my ideas might not count so much, since I hardly ever like Final-Fantasy-styled setting...

Thanks the game is infact fantasy/medieval so I tried to make it match the game and it's character set (Which was not easy as character sets have low details )

If you need a better charset, try to submit a request in the forum...
Maybe some good soul will be able to help you

By character sets having low detail I meant that they can't show every single detail in such a small size (Detailed belts, armor, gloves, boots, etc)

Ok, ok, I've expressed myself in the worst way possible...

I wanted to say:
if you haven't just a good charset to fit the picture, you could ask for a sprite.

Now, you are completely right.
Sometimes charsets are amazingly difficult to draw, beacuse of their small size...
