Hello all, here be the link to my soundcloud page. I've posted here before (quite some time ago actually) and got feedback, so I figured I'd post new topic and hope for the same. My most recently written piece (simply titled "Brass Quintet") is one I'd like opinions on, but comments on any others are nice as well smile.gif

Well done smile.gif
I feel it could be perfect for a medieval town theme, since is relatively calm but not too much...
There's some good crescendo which make it various and well structured.
Where did you think to employ this?
And what program did you use?

Nice work, dude...

Thank you, that's kind of what I see it as. I may use it for a certain cathedral in a game I want to male. Might not ever happen, but at least its given me musical inspiration.

Each phrase is supposed to be more powerful than the prior, so (almost) every phrase ended in a crescendo to build for the next. Only exception is the subito piano towards the end, in order to break the continuous build as well as make the last and most powerful phrase that much more impactful.

As for my program, I notate my music using Finale 2011 and then transfer the midi to FL Studio for better sound quality.

Thanks for the feedback smile.gif

New piece "Slums of the Gilded City" posted. As the word "Slums" would show, its a more downbeat piece. I plan to make a much faster paced version of it (with much more variation than just tempo of course, but some main themes will stay), which would be used as the battle music for that area
