How about a 3D RPG maker for the PC enabling you to create beautiful landscapes as well as fantastic adventures? Just like RPG maker 3 for the playstation but better. The PS version had great graphics and music but there was a lot ot be desired as far as game creation was concerned. Does anyone else like this idea or does anyone know if this is a possibility for the future?

I just consider it like a chimera.
Don't misunderstand me, I'm not telling it could be not interesting, but as regards resource editing, it would be really difficult to handle with.
With a 2D RPG Maker, you can even use MS Paint and a little fantasy to create decent resources, but as regards 3D, you should become a 3D Studio Max or Blender pro to create some interesting graphics...

If you want to make a 3D game, you can use Unity. It's a very powerful engine. You need programming skills to use it correctly, but when you're into 3D development, a lot of math is required anyways. RPG Maker is more geared toward traditional old-school JPRGs and Enterbrain wouldn't gain much by trying to compete with more powerful engines.
