First of all, greetings RPG-Revolution, this is my first post!

Sorry to make it a noobish question asking for support, but I need assistance. In my game, I have a specific map that keeps causing random errors that I don't understand. I removed all scripts, and all events, and the problem is still there! I even went so far as to remove all the other maps, and it still does it. Now, I could recreate the map I suppose, but I would like to know what is causing the error so it doesn't happen again. The error is: "Undefined method [] for NilClass". I am no scripter, and have no idea what that means.

Just walk around on the map for a few seconds, and you will see what I mean.

What line does the error come?
In what script?
Please, just write down the whole error message...
Maybe someone will be able to help you...

It seems like you called an unexistent array...

I was going to take a look at this, because even if I don't understand scripting myself, this sounded odd to me and I was going to see if I could help anyway. However, when Avira instantaneous sent an alarm for 4 trojans beeing part of this file I decided against it...
So be carefull everyone.

I know, but when the error occurs, the general error message pop up is something like

"???RGSS Error in
[Script name] - line [line number]
Undefined method [] for NilClass"

This is what I define as a whole error message...

I scanned this with AVG and Viper, and nothing came up, so I would get a new virus program xD didn't do anything to my computer.

However, pertaining to your problem, pierre, I can find nothing wrong with your game and everything works just fine for me, no errors show up whatsoever. Do you have the legal version of RMXP?

Maybe it depends on the DLL version...
Sometimes ago, MODE7 gave me problems because of something similar only because my DLL was the RGSS100J...
I had to modify the incriminated script manually to let it work...

Maybe with the RGSS102E.dll or the RGSS103J.dll it will work...
Just download one of them from somewhere (sorry, I don't know where to find 'em), open the game config file (the file with the cog icon) and switch the name you found (I mean RGSS[version].dll) with the one downloaded, after having put that in your game folder...

I'm not sure if it works, but it's worth a try...

It can even be a program version problem, try with the 1.02 if the problem keeps on appearing.
1.01 can present some bugs, but I'm not sure at all...
