I have one of the hugest problems of all of RPG Maker problems history. So I stopped importing those damn battle character sets and started using ANIMATIONS instead of character sets and yet, even though I've animated all my heroes and turned those animations into the heroes battle sprites, I get the stupid "Event Script references a battle animation that does not exist." WTF?!?!

Battle animations, as in skill animations; not battlesprite animations - I believe. When is it occurring, and if in-game (after you've loaded and gotten to a map) - then check your events to make sure you're not calling a 'show animation' that doesn't exist. Also check common events and then skills. Quick-fix should be to expand the battle animations 'array.'

Where did you come to that conclusion?

Well you see I'm using skill animations for my character's in-battle sprites, it's all been animated, both hands, the defending sprite, stuff like that, but I don't see how the engine can't comprehend the existance of the animations. I've been using skill animations for my party's in-battle sprites and that's never happened. So I don't know what to do.

Did you accidentally delete some stuff that had battle animations in it? You should check the section of the database that shows where your characters are placed when in battle. If you get some sort of error when checking stuff on that tab, press OK and it should be fixed! I had a similar problem when I got rid of a bunch of battle animations so this is from experience.

If that doesn't fix it, try to find somewhere else in the database that might be referencing the non-existent battle animation.

Well this problem happened a couple months back. Then I deleated the animations, then created them talking place of the old ones. Maybe it's just the engine being stupid?

Try increasing the number of battle animations in the database.
