hello,

I'm wondering what information I would need to make a tile set. I know the width is something like 256, and the height can be anything, but there's a few more things I need to know. How do I lay out my tiles so they work correctly in RMXP.

Also when I imported a test set I'm working on, I wasn't sure how to set the transparency. I don't seem to be given the option on import, it just imports right away..

The thing is When I select say my floor board tile, which takes up quite a few squares I can't just select the whole thing, it goes a little over into the next tile set object..

I could space them different, but not being able to set trancparency makes this an issue, becaus if I go over into where the transparent color would be that color will go into my map..that's no good, lol.

Never mind I solved my first issue, was mapping on layer 1 which ignores transparency..I'm gonna ask another question here tho.

one of my tiles is grass which is exactly 32X32. When I map it in rpg maker I get this grey sorta grid around my tile, how do I get rid of this..?

Please don't double post within 48 hours ~ Redd

the wide is indeed 256 , the height although can be anything but have a restriction of 32x
meaning it can be divided by 32 or has to
