I've been looking through this place for a while and finally decided to make a thread about my own artwork.
Most of things I post here are mostly from my deviantart which is right here:
http://howsplendid.deviantart.com/. The same would go for the descriptions I put for each drawing
I'll post this one for today ^^ One of my drawing I'm still most proud of.

Just an idea that randomly popped up when I was making my comic for my Art 2-D class. I thought about drawing my fox character in the miko clothing, since I realized how much she reminds me of Reimu. I loved how this came out. Gotta love those random ideas ^^

I know I'm not too good, but if you have any advice please post away! ^^

Looks great! =D
One thing you may want to take into consideration on colouring with pencils, is to make all of the strokes in the same direction (it gives it a uniform appearance); digital colouring doesn't have the same "strokes" problem.
Despite that, as I mentioned, it looks great.

A sketch i was working a while back.

Decided to doodle one day and kept putting off submitting it. I'm thinking about trying to turn this into digial art, but still debating. :/

I definitely think you should try your hand at digital art, even if you find it difficult at first. =]
I encouraged leongon to do so, and I have seen more and more amazing works from him ever since then (that isn't to take away from him being great at drawing non-digital art, but he made a heck of a lot more submissions in much less time due to not having to scan drawings).
Anyway, buddy looks absolutely adorable. =D
One thing I'd change, just because of the perspective and what, is his hand being in his pocket. Perhaps it is fine being in his pocket, but the pocket would actually be more to the side so that it doesn't look as if he's got his hands in a naughty spot. (Yes, it does look a little like that currently.)

He seems to be a little excited about his bone, so I'm thinking that his hand could do better outside of his pocket in order to give a better portrayal of his excitement (I'm thinking he's happy to have the bone and is showing it off, so he probably wouldn't have his other hand in his pocket at all; he looks a little too relaxed with it in his pocket whilst being excited about showing off his bone).
I hope that all makes sense, lol.
But yes, definitely a very cool sketch. =D
Keep up the good work! ^^

Here's another drawing. A character of mine that I've been putting off drawing for so long.

I finally drew and finished my drawing of my character Cindy. It kinda sucks that she remained as a sketch for so long, but not anymore. The background came out a little bit better than the last one.
The gun that Cindy is holding in her hand is a Red-9, which is her favorite handgun. I also decided to try wind effects for the first time, please let me know how I did!

Looks great! Nice design on the weapon and character. =D
The wind idea looks cool, and works. I'm sure you used an eraser and went over in swirls, which actually looks just fine. =]
The leaves portray the wind best, though you could simply put a small, thin line trailing behind them in swirly motions and it would accomplish the same thing.

Also, the grass is definitely going the right direction, in terms of strokes. The stone wall strokes look odd because you didn't colour them in individually (which you should do for stones, and give them their own "texture" strokes; because it currently looks like a single stone with lines drawn on top of it to make it look like a bunch of stones bricked atop each other).
Hope that helps; you've definitely got some skill going on here.

A double-post (with a submission or update to a submission) is permissible in this area.

Just don't bump your topic without adding a submission or update to a submission.

It's amazing! I find the idea to be brilliant, and the art to be just as well. =D

anyways here's my most recent paperchild.
It's been awhile since my last paperchild, so I decided it was time to make another one. This time I decided to use my raccoon character Ollie. He's just sitting there minding his own business....on my com, until someone begins to tug his tail. lol I don't think anyone would want to mess with an annoyed raccoon!
You can probably see that there is a bubble above his head, which didn't get in the camera. He says "Seriously... Stop pulling on my tail."

ok here's another drawing from a while back
Another one of my characters that's been around with me for a couple years. This is Lyra my second raccoon character. I haven't given her a personally yet, though I will update eventually when I do. The background, I know is lazy; I still need to practice on that... -_- However, I'm glad to have finally put Lyra on here and glad on how she came out. ^^

She seems to have no curves, but maybe that is the fault of the coat she is wearing. D=
From only glancing at the thumbnail image, she has the figure of a man. Once I opened the image, I could see that she was female. (Yes, I have learned to ignore guessing the sex of a character based on their name, so this is why Lyra didn't convince me of it until I opened the image, lol.)
Anyway, don't be ashamed about your background; I'd recommend focussing on one aspect of art at a time, and then blending them all together once you've "perfected" them individually. =]
Very nicely done, by the way. ^^

Aww, you have such a cute style!
<3
I think my favourite is of
Kogasa Tatara, I really like that pose.
And you're doing pretty well for coloured pencils!
Your anatomy is also pretty good, and I like the way you add lighting.
I think what would really add to your drawings is if you'd play around with the location/magnification of your characters.
All of your pictures seem to have characters in the middle at around the same height.
I think it'd be pretty cool to see close-up faces, or a different point-of-view for the same characters.
Maybe some perspective practice?
Overall, I love your stuff!

Here's an Update for Christmas!!!

It's been 2 years since I've drawn something for Christmas, but I decided: why not do so this year? Looks like Kate has taken in for Santa and has to deliver the gifts along with her Elf/brother. It's seems like it's going to be a long night, good luck you two, you're going to need it. Looking back at my first Christmas drawing I'm so happy to see how much I've improved over these years. I've decided that I would make this into a gift for my family. I put a lot of work into this drawing and I hope they like it.
Happy Holidays to everyone on the RRR forums!!

At last, my first drawing for 2012 ^^
Something I've been wanting to draw for quite a while now. I decided why not draw my favorite character from Blazblue? I enjoyed drawing this one. Her childlike nature is so funny and cute, so I decided to make the background sort of match that personality. I also tried drawing in front view; it's been so long since I've drawn this way....

Yeah it's color pencil, I've been wanting to get away from this type of media for a while, but as of now I don't have any other methods of coloring. I can't use photoshop, because I lost it when my com crashed (my teacher was nice enough to let me use the school CD to get it) I've been trying to learn how to use gimp, but I haven't found a good tutorial.
