BEFORE I START i dont know if this was posted AND this seems like an event so i decided to post it here smile.gif RPG Maker DS Plus It will be the second RPG Maker for the DS. This version will allow enough variety in the item history, presenting graphs of different ages and feudal Japan, present and future times. It is expected to to take pictures and use them in the face, as in the version of RPG Maker DS DSi.

In addition to investment in different charts, you do not have much information about systems. The title is about to leave on December 15 this year.

Check out some screens:
Spoiler:

RPG Maker VX Ace Based on previous maker - RPG Maker VX - the new Windows version promises to have improved in many respects, and all new content.

To make life easier for programmers, Enterbrain included in this version the RGSS3 and added new options for programming events.

In news, the maker has a system of creating the faces and characters, similar to the "generators" out there, where you can assemble using parts ready graphics.

The battle system standard has also been improved. Now you can create commands with a more varied, as Provoke and cover, for example. New is also the TP: similar to Overdrive or Limit, famous games, it is dynamic and accumulated over the battle, being spent to perform special skills. These new systems can be freely customized.

It is unclear what will happen tilesets and other functions. There are many sources, but it is believed that the release date is the same as the DS +.

Any new information and confirmed, we will be updating.

Looks pretty cool. However, I think I will continue to use XP, and not buy this went it comes out.

I prefer XP this far, but I'd really like to try out the RGSS3. I don't know if I'll get it, but I guess that is why they include a 30 day trial. smile.gif

Thanks

This means we'll have to remake all the VX battle systems??

NOW they make a modern day school setting tileset, but for the DS version. I'm pretty much what the other two said above me, I done way too much work on my XP to even think about moving. But I'll try out the new one when or if a demo come out.

Two months away and we've already got 3 topics on the matter.. At least you have more coverage of rpg maker ds+. Speaking of which, doesn't look half bad for a console rpg maker..

I'd say so, yes. I don't think anyone, West or East, is exactly pining for backwards compatibility between RGSS2 and its successor.

I now notice that the actors have (rather large) noteboxes now, which is a welcome change for scripts and scripters. This probably means that classes and other non-UsableItem database entries will have their own notes as well.

It would be better if I can copy and paste my old VX projects directly into the new maker. I'll be looking forward to it.

The only thing I'm hoping for is that they'll end the RGSS BS and just allow for pure ruby, I hate how I can't use trig/calc to move an event depending on where the hero's x/y stands and how easy it is to do with just pure ruby..

If the map system is treated like XP or better or better yet like AGM/IGM than everyone will be happy.

I personally don't know much about Ruby, but considering it's going to use RGSS3, the "BS" will probably continue.

As for the mapping, I'm not sure what they will use, but the naming (VX Ace) makes this seem more in style with the current VX, so I doubt they will alter the mapping too much, if they do at all. Somebody suggested they may try to include their own SwapXT to swap in and out tilesets but will probably stay with the current A-E system for each map.

Rukiri
I believe it may have a completely new mapping system, I think enterbrain knows about the complaint and they may either include more letters or go back to the way it use to be.

What does this even mean? RGSS is just a library for Ruby. You can already write in pure Ruby...
