I've done my own research as well:
Playstation came out in 1994
PS2 in 2000
PS3 in 2006
The quote "this is a platform business, so for the future platform - when we'll be introducing that product, I cannot discuss that - but our development work is already underway." is on multiple other websites.
The fun facts about the systems are all true. The PS3 was also the first to use motion controls in
just controllers, unlike the Wii that uses a controller AND a motion sensing bar.
Among other things. Sure, it didn't cite anything, but if you really wanted to find out if it were true you could find out easily.
EDIT:
QUOTE
In other words, a new release this soon by Sony, is strictly business and nothing more.
Which is why Nintendo is more of my preference for gaming, it's more about the culture than business.

That's a little off-topic though, so ignore that. XD
Exactly

They release consoles when they want a new one, not when they NEED to. It's not like Nintendo is going to go bankrupt any time soon. But Sony is just kind of good for innovating things, and they WILL start losing money if new, better, cheaper stuff comes out.
