New here so hi everybody smile.gif
I doubt many people here have heard of the Sword of Moonlight RPG making engine; it's a first person 3D engine designed specifically to make King's Field like games, but it has a decent amount of flexibility. There's a review and some info on the engine here:
http://gametz.com/Review/2194.html

I'm wondering if a game being made with the Sword of Moonlight engine would be suitable fare for posting somewhere in the 'Creative Commons' section here.

Edit: I'm actually asking if site policy allows coverage of other game engines and not about Sword of Moonlight itself so not sure the topic belongs here. I'm can't find a statement whether the 'RPG' in "RPG Revolution" is for the RPGMaker series or for RPGs in general, but it's all good..

This probably belongs in General Game Engines actually as it pertains to an engine. If there happens to be a game made with it, it would go in one of the different project sections, like under construction, long demos, or full games.

I'm sure a mod will move it though so no need to repost it there lol. I can't offer any opinions on it because I prefer 2D game engines myself.

I like 2D also, but I don't really compare it to 3D, they're just two different mediums each with their own ups and downs- kind of like books and movies. There's actually a lot of 2D work in 3D also.

So is that an official 'yes' this site does welcome RPGs made with non RpgMaker engines? I don't have a Sword of Moonlight game I'm wanting to post myself right now, I just want to know if I can recommend this site to Sword of Moonlight designers as a place to share support, ideas, games and such.

This. Looks. AWESOME!

Thank you so much for telling us abou this. This is everything I ever wanted from a game engine biggrin.gif

Yes we accept and and all game makers and games. We don't care if you use an alien computing system that somehow works with windows laptops, like that one alien computer from Independance Day.
BenKyaw
Ha ha, Even an alien/laptop hybrid RPG!!? Cool, that means I can finally make an RPG for an IBM 519!
You feed it a punch card with the enemy data and then one for the player and it spits out a Ticker tape telling you if the player is still alive or not!. wink.gif
Thanks Klokinator. I know a couple people making a SoM game and they may want to pop in for feedback.

Majin, I've been quite impressed with Sword of Moonlight. It's pretty easy to work with but can still pull of some nice scenarios. I think it's a great place to break into 3D game making. If you have any questions about using SoM or whatever, feel free to ask.
