Some may remember this from my swamp hut (which was at the wrong angle, but i was testing out straw rooves and think I've cracked it. Its only a 32px wide line atm, but I'll follow it around the hut, just wanted to see if there was anyone out there who had a better idea or anything.

Didn't bother cutting it out so excuse the garish building on the left, carrying on with the roof as is, should I be making it darker as it goes around the back?

Gonna leave it on a seperate layer to sort out colours and see if it translates well into grass and sticks easily(only minor modifications hopefully), and you never know, i may just use it on the windmill. And get to work on the base.

May have to tweak the brown, as it looks more like dried grass or something rather then sticks, maybe a highlight or shade would help.,

Now heres a question for you, considering this is an elvish village, and will probably be on stilts or attached to trees somehow, what should I do about the walls, I don't want too much wood, maybe a basic framework, but in between should I go the mystical white/silvery wall, or something else? And if anyone say giant leaves I kill them!!

Still looking for something other then lots of wood, but at the same time this white wall irks me. Still, onwards and upwards, might put some sort of design to break it up a little.

Looks really nice to me! :3

I think the different house tops you made are nice too, especially the green smile.gif

Cant say I remember this as i'm only just getting back into RM after taking a long break of selling most of the games, consoles I had. (Still ongoing) lol.

Anyways I think what you have done looks really nice, I can see the outline of a 'mystical' looking hut which looks really nice and the roofing to them looks amazing. The green one really does look like the nicest one out of the three you have done and I'm guessing that first attempt your roof didnt look like it matched or something along them lines?

If that is the case then i believe it does now match well so nice job and keep up the good work

I think it's really nice to see someone actually showing us the steps there using to make these custom maps and such. I'm looking to do a bit of everything myself and this really gives me an idea of how to start. Great job.
