The first map that it gave me when i started the game was the map I used. I put the green on the first layer and wall on the second. I copied all the scripts from the fire emblem immortl sword starter kit and and all the other stuff. First of all can you make the maximum for animations more than 999. If yes, how?

Second of all, the cursor does not appear when you start the game. It's not on the map. How do I make it appear?

Third of all, my characters are not appearing. How do I make them appear.

Thanks for your help,

Redd
A) There is a database limit breaker script, but I don't think it works with animations. Sorry.

B) You will need a mouse system such as this one. I think it is the best out of the bunch.

C) There are a few things that can cause this, such as having an illegal version of RMXP, having no character graphic set in the Database, or having a move event where the player was turned transparent, so you must turn him opaque again. Unless you are talking about having ALL your party members on the map, in which case you need a caterpillar or train actor script such as this one right here.

I am working on a fire emblem game in rmxp and I was playing a fire emblem game. I was thinking how do you make a cutscene with two or more people and how to put a background behind.

Can anyone help me?

I am making a fire emblem game in rpg maker xp and was wondering how to make a unit say something.
An example would be like: when the boss dies he says: you are too strong for me.

Also how can you make in the stats of a unit a picture appear in the square.

Any help is appreciated.

Is this being made with FEXP or is this a different game/system?

Okay so apparently you're going around asking questions without being specific about details, and you're posting a whoooole lot of topics where there would have only needed to be one.

1. FEXP is new. I'm not even sure what the process is that you went to (Did you hack the engine, is this the official release, or is this a new game with the scripts just pasted in?) but in any case, only I, Yeti, and a couple other people who don't come to this forum even know the broad details of how the engine works. Asking here will get you very, very blank stares.

2. You seem to have little knowledge of how RMXP in general works. This is just based off the other three topics you made.

Right click on the map name over on the left side of the screen, go to its properties, and rename the map to "Mapname BATTLE" to make a map where the characters can fight and stuff. So for example "Eliwood and Lyn BATTLE" or "Satans Dungeon BATTLE" or something similar.

This is an incredibly vague question, my friend. If you had the finished version of FEXP (Oh right, nobody does because it was never finished anyway) things would be a lot simpler to answer. Do you have the unit in the right format (Event name should be UNIT) and the right thing in the comments? Are you using the absolute newest version of the engine? Etc etc. Use screenshots for best results.

This is probably the thing that confuses me most. Yeti already implemented the database limit breaker script in FEXP, so by default, after you DL FEXP you would have 3,000 animation slots to work with, not 999. This is why I'm confused about a great many things.

Edit: And Redd, just for future reference, there are exactly zero scripts for RMXP that work with FEXP. Yeti rewrote a large portion of the call commants and other things of that sort. Even NR's save script didn't work at all in FEXP.

Merged topics. If you have a bunch of similar questions, ask them in one topic.

he said he was using the Immortal Sword starter kit, so I didn't think it was anything FEXP, was it? OR is FEXP the only one?
Klokinator
Both are one and the same. Immortal Sword is a game made by the developer of the FEXP starter kit. He stopped using the RMXP platform though and went to XNA, releasing his RMXP product to the world.

Oh okay I got it.
That really sucks thought that you can't use ANY other custom scripts with it.. tongue.gif
