Just crurious as to what purpose they surve here on the forums and or if they are used for anything in general....

They're just default settings for members who don't wish to add their own title, or members that aren't at 100 posts yet and can't edit their own title. =]

They have no other function on the site.
So basically just a "place holder" unless you've added a title.

I could be wrong, but I THINK you gain a level every 15 posts up until Rev, and then the posts you need get bigger from there on.
