In (some) guitar stores, you aren't allowed to play "stairway to heaven" because it's over-used and, quite frankly, it's the first thing people ask you to play for them, as if it's some kind of entrance exam for guitar playing. I think we should have the same thing with fishing/mining (especially mining) events; it's become somewhat redundant. I head that there were 3 mining events posted in one week, each by different people (why are they so popular, anyway? ).

If people want to play Stairway to Heaven they should be allowed to, same with making fishing/mining events. Stingy store owners don't get my trade.

Yeah, I don't see the point in forbidding people to reinvent the wheel. Two mining event systems can be done differently so it's still educational. Only if it's a complete repost of another system, then it's a problem.
