That's a lot of work! ^^ I love the details, and I especially love those characters without noses. Big smiles are awesome too! =D

You really do have the most brilliant talent for facial expressions, I can't say that enough. XD With or without a nose, you've got the faces just right! ^^ The body figures are always great as well (very detailed), and I still can't get over the details in the hair! So good!

MOAR DISAPPEARING ACT? Maybe. Maybe. But lol I have returned yet again with another bundle of art. I have a combination of adorable and OHMYGODIT'SGONNAEATMYSOULIFISTARETOOLONG. So enjoy and proceed with caution XD
So yeah. There's a lot.
Here's just some random mindless sketches. Some of them are sketches for a project I'm working on, trying to get a hang of the style and what the characters should look like in the style. so i can have consistency, 'tis always good lol.
I also went through a lot of old sketchbooks and drew some old characters in my newer/more enlightened styles to keep myself occupied and unbored at work XD
Soooooo I've also been doing a bunch of stuffs I color with highlighters, so here are those.
These guys are also highlighter art, but they're specifically for my project. My beloved characturs :.3
Annnndddd some pages/promotional shit for my main project AKA my sweat and blood XD
Not done and needs words added Wasn't able to fit the whole page in the scanner so there's stuff missing Also not done yet XD
AND SOME MORE RANDOM STUFF.
Oh yeah another highlighter piece I just did a day or two ago lol MAH D&D CHARACTURRRRR MAH OTHUR D&D CHARACTURRRR
Alright, I suppose that's enough. I'll let everyone take in all that awesome before throwing more at you X3

You've always got some of the most beautiful and detailed artwork! (Crowd favourite, obviously, lol.)
Anyway, I've always loved the character and love you give to your arts. You have a great talent, and I hope that one day it is appreciated financially as much as we all appreciate and admire it!

Thank you very much all, I really appreciate all of y'all
I've been super lazy lately, I really want to make a short graphic novel, but progress has been too slow for my liking, I gotta buckle down and get shit done XD
I've started a piece, and decided that I want to post the progress in steps. Like I have the initial sketch right now, I still need to add clothes and then get to inking. But I'mma just scan and post it after each process
Right now it stands as a mess of lines that are hard to follow XD

Hmmm.. Okay... Ah I see...
MY OH MY! That's one hell of sick arts!!! In a good way~ xD This reminds me of the Jack Skellington's Artist! THe shape and the square curves are more like American style, which is perfect!
I just love it..flawless...simply flawless, there's nothing to critics with this kind of arts ^^

Thank you kindly it took me many years, but I eventually became highly influenced by Western art, I started out with anime like most do XD
I do have another finished-as-it'll-get piece, I might color it when I get my tablet back in my possession. A friend of mine wanted me to design a space stripper pirate who will turn zombie, this is the result of such a request lol
X-M-O
Oct 14 2012, 10:31 AM
I can see this being a "space stripper pirate turned zombie", lol. Excellent work at getting all those ideas into one character seamlessly. I'm jealous of her boots! I love stylish boots. ^^

Awesome work Homu! your work's gotten a ton better since I last saw it (which was on your old, and what I assume is outdated, deviantART).
Have you tried graphic tablets before? I reckon your style would look absolutely killer done with one of those

Your random art skills amaze me, and this random window into the eye of some spectre's soul is rather a neat idea. ^^
Your friend is lucky you've drawn something for her (or him?)! It looks classic and has a lot of detail. I love coffee in the snow.

Thank you thank you XD I'm quite fond of both the eye guy and the kittah, entertaining and creepy combo hahaha.
I didn't do much with that previous progress sketch I showed, I ended up starting a new picture to help decide how I want to go about doing a project. I DO HAVE STEPS OF PROGRESS. I need to add hair now :\

Oct 27 2012, 11:19 AM
Wow, you've really pronounced the collar bone area on these (unless they are very skinny peoples). =]
The shading and colouring (of both of these) is remarkably well done. ^^ The nose looks so real I think it is coming out of the picture.
I love what you've done with the eyes, and on the second one how the eyes have those tear-like thingies. XD

Oct 27 2012, 11:29 AM
O: THANK YOU XD Very much, I've been debating whether I want to do my project/graphic novel in black and white by hand, or via the style above. I need to add dreadlocks and then I'll evaluate XD I think I may go digital. It's a slow process though, I spend a good 5 hours on that :/
(And they are skinny peoples, but I don't think as skinny as portrayed that's just me being a love-coloring-bony-people-fanatic XD)

Oct 27 2012, 11:37 AM
Yes, it's evident in your art, which is fine as I think it influences your style in all forms of art just a bit. ^^ I bet if you have a puppy you'd name it "Bones". I think that would be awesome! XD
Oh, you're adding dreadlocks? Hmm... I can't really picture that with your particular style, so I can't wait to see what it looks like. =D

Oct 30 2012, 04:08 PM
They hassled the shit outta me XD But I managed to come up with something I feel pleased with. I wanted the pure white of the hair to really stick out, I kept trying to shade it but it took away from the white so I ended up doing very little XD Turns out I much rather drawing that character by hand, go figure. But opinions are important, I dunno if I want to do this project to sell or just for myself and my own personal satisfaction of doing it, but here here.
What would you rather look at a full book of, the hand drawn or digital style, both below.
WITHIN THESE WALLS.
I also started a short story I've been itching to do for a while so I'll have something to do while working out the major kinks in the above project XD

I HAVE ANOTHER WIP.
For my project/2-part short story of a fellow named Connor who takes a psychedelic journey to the "floor" and "top" of the universe in search of "God" and the answers to the universe's mysteries XD
PROGRESS XD still FAAARRRR from done though, but that's all for tonight Imma work more on it/try'n finish it tomorrow. That's about 2 hours of work there with a couple smoke breaks XD

Homunculus
Dec 11 2012, 10:58 AM
Why thank you good sir! I drew it in ink, and then for the coloring LOL a smorgisborg of mediums. Base colors and shades were done with highlighters, and the lighting was a super light/soft beige pencil crayon, as well as some of the shades were deepened with a teal pencil crayon. Any white is a felt-tip white pen I found at some arts & crafts place called Michaels.

"Some traditional stuff, mostly marker!
Here are the pictures taken with my blackberry first, the less impressive of the lot LOL This one's a pencil crayon piece. I've been working on full pieces to sell, this one's already gotten dibs called on it though haha. Which means I got to scan it before she buys it this Friday, eep XD Ink work: Colored:

WOOH, COLORING BOOK!! XD I used it to practice for buddy at top there XD
the following are ALSO FOR SALE
Okay, that's the only one of my new stuff still available lol AND THE REST, ZEE DOODLES. Actually the following two were for friends. one was a commission and the other was a belated christmas gift XD
And now the rest XD My brother's Pathfinder character My boyfriend's Pathfinder character
My friends and I have also been working on a webcomic/mini short film series, the concept art lays within
My loverly characters
She's not done, I didn't like where she was going and scratched her lol Her replacement (I later decided the characters would all be based off our friends, the Captain suited one of our friends fine but chickie above wasn't me lol this one is) this guy's going to need to be modified a little bit to suit the person he's based on, but he's pretty well the gyst of things
New addition! I started this piece today, I'm hoping to get this one and the other phone-picture ones scanned tomorrow XD this one includes all the steps taken too, I like to post progress on Facebook XD it's also already soooollldd WOOOOOHHH!!!!!
