Who else has played this? I've so far stuck 26 hours into the game, it's really fun, atm I'm level 74 trying to grind upto level 99 so I can max out my AGI stat. This game has a decent but short story as in it only took me 23-24 hours to beat the game (yet so many claim that it takes around 40 hours to complete), and I finished the last 2 bosses in under a minute at level 73, while the bosses are level 80 themselves.

The dialogue is alright and can sometimes be a little amusing but it is has poor grammar and little to no punctuation. Lines like "We have to stop it before happened!"

I play an AGI Assassin (Critical and Evade) and I use Thunderstorm to farm a bit, this is also the only skill that enables you to kill the final bosses extremely fast, a few people can even do it in under 30 seconds.
My Assassin's Build Currently

Level 74 / 99

STR 98 / 400
AGI 287 / 400
CON 83 / 400
SPI 83 / 400

ATK 1432-1938
DEX(accuracy I think) 164%
CRT (critical rate) 107%

DEF 265
EVD (evade) 84%
Fire Resistance 66

Equipment:
Weapon: Ferver Dual Blade
Helmet: Scale Helmet of Evil
Body: Silver Armor of Love
Gloves: Hunter Gauntlet of Aim
Boots: Scale Galoshes of Fame
Gem: Crome Orb
Necklace: Penikai
Cape: Feather Cape
Ring: Lorand Ring
Charm: Eternal Amulet

Equipment Legend: Normal, Magic, Rare, Epic, Unique

Skills (in the order I got them):
Tear of Orion - 10/10 - "Critical Chance +1% per level" (save up until level 15 for this)
Howl of The Lion - 10/10 - "Critical Attack Damage +2% per level"
Agility of The Lynx - 2/2 - "Increases Attack Rate and Movement Speed per point of Agility" (at level 22 save 2 skill points so you can max it out at level 24)
Wrath of The Dragon - 10/10 - "+1% Physical Attack Damage per level"
Invisibility - 1/10 - "Cloak for 300F"
Will of The Unicorn - 4/4 - "Increases Evade per point of Agility"
Will of The Crow - 10/10 - "+1% Evade Chance per level"
Ice Spear - 1/10 - "Cold Aura damages nearby enemies dealing cold damage and chance of slow"
Chain Lightning - 1/10 - "Shoots lightning in 4 directions around you (+ shape)" not that good so I left it at 1.
Thunder Storm - 10/10 - "Damages all enemies on the screen with powerful lightning (and stuns enemies if they're still alive)."
Recovery of The Eagle - 5/5 - "Increases SP per point of SPI (useful for Thunderstorm as it uses a lot of SP"
Ice Spear - 10/10 - Maxed this out since it is quite useful since it hits around you, but shorter area than Chain Lightning
Archangel - 1/1 - "Knocks all enemies on the screen and restores health" (Unlocked by beating Virulent (good alignment) or Lady Charity (evil alignment))

Assassins are the hardest and most expensive class to play in Zenonia while Paladin is a noob class since it can heal itself and Warrior just being plain over powered. Assassins are only hard because you can't just rush in and kill everything at once without easily dying, that being said it is not impossible either if you know how to do it properly. Assassins require a lot of patience since you do die quite often since not having much strength gets you overweight often when you're grinding and causes you to slow down, which is annoying since you can't dash dodge things either.

The puzzles in the dungeon aren't too hard but they can be a bit annoying like the spike traps where you have to push blocks on a few switches before it has dot lights show you 2-3 paths and then you have to memorize it to get past them since they ohko you.

The sidequests offer some decent EXP and is a quick way to earn some money while you're going through the dungeons, yet they're so boring, it's either "Deliver x item to y person" or "Kill x/y enemies found in z field/dungeon" or "Get x item from y enemy and deliver to z person"

I so can't wait until they release Zenonia 2 for PSP, I really wanna play PvP

I have a PSP, but I haven't seen this game before.
I'll have to check it out. Sounds interesting enough to at least give it a chance. =]

So, am I the only person in the world who thinks this game is... well, sort of... I don't know... crappy?

The gameplay is slow and torpid, the story is completely asinine, the environments are like the worst, overly cluttered RPG Maker maps, it's full of bugs, the quests are boring, and the soundtrack is the worst I've heard since Hydlide. The sprite art and animation are fairly good, but that's the only nice thing you'll ever hear me say about it.

Seriously, if you have a PSP, you have many fine Action RPGs to choose from. Just to name a few, there's Tales of the World, Star Ocean 1 and 2, Phantasy Star Portable 1 and 2, four Ys games, Kenka Bancho, Legend of Mana, Threads of Fate and ClaDun. There is absolutely no reason to bother with the underachieving likes of Zenonia.

That's actually a decent list, Milton Monday, though I would argue that simply having a group of "top" games isn't necessarily satisfactory for a gamer (such as myself). I'm always looking for new games, despite being happy with those that I have (or unhappy with those that I have; as I can be satisfied or unsatisfied and still want more games, lol).

I love Zenonia, I'm currently playing Tales of The World Radiant Mythology and started ClaDun yesterday xD, although ClaDun is pretty average =/ where's my customization options they promised T_T

The Star Ocean games on PSP are crap as hell imo though. Anything with fun grinding is a good game to my eyes.

This game is also on the Dsi. smile.gif (On the shop channel)

I find this game a little boring, because it's hard to figure out where you have to go next in some places. And a little glitch: Even if you don't have an Origin of Life or enough gold to get one, you can still pick the revive without penalty option. That's just a little careless in design.

personally i love it, for so many different reasons. Paladin is actually harder than you say, because you have only 1 healing spell, at higher levels it begins to become obsolete and we have the worst weapons (durability wise) but the grinding is fun, sprites are amazing, and the eating system is actually pretty cool when you get used to it. The dialogue may be messed up in some areas, but wasn't final fantasy 7 dialogue more than a little odd? Yet it is the most loved FF game of all time.
