I want to draw all my own material by hand for a project in RM2k3, however I feel it won't come out as nicely as if I had used XP or VX, since everything in 2k3 comes out in 16 bit. Would it be possible to draw the resources and still have a quality finish?

You have the resolution problem too, but I think most people would agree that a game with custom/unique graphics
would look more visually interesting than a game that either uses the default graphics or uses graphics from
another game. Of course, you still have to make maps, but that aside, you've got custom graphics for production values.
Some people here have made a game using their own graphics and they look pretty damn good.

There is no problem with drawing your own graphics to use with RM2k3, as long as you take the 320x240 resolution in consideration and work with 256 colors. You also need to remember that all graphics are double scaled in game.

Could not have put it better, actually there have been projects made with RM2K3 that have used hand drawn work. Sunset over Imhudal comes to mind... (though I may be spelling the title wrong)

Thanks bunches =) I guess this topic can be closed now, I just wanted to know if it was possible with RM2k. Down the road I might need help with the actual process but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
