Magic/Skill ShopWithout scripts or choices!
To make magic/skill shop follow these steps!
Step 1- Create the skill as a item and turn Consume ON Scope NONE and Ocassion ONLY FROM THE MENU
Step 2- Make a common event for the item.
Step 3- In the common event, make a event with 'Change Skills' and if you have 1 actor for your game choose that person and choose the skill you made the item as. Lets say the item is a fireball spell. So you learn the skill Fireball.
Step4- This is only if you have 2 or more actors. You will need to use the show choices to give the player a choice of who they want to learn the spell, or you could make the whole party learn the spell. Entirely up to you biggrin.gif

Good information, overall. Another option for the magic item use is to make it consumable in the database by select party members. That way you can avoid setting up choice options.
