I've played the first one.
Its pretty cool.
sometimes its like playing an anime fight scene.
It just gets that fast and chaotic.

One of my favourite things is that there are some color palettes for characters that make them look
like McDonald's mascots.
Its kind of funny.

Makoto Nanaya Is pretty awesome.

Pretty sure that Ragna has one that makes him look like Ichigo. Also, My Ice car is a NIIII-SSANNNN! Sorry, I had too.

Only played Calamity Trigger for now, but I'm going to buy this one eventually, mainly because I want to play with Valkenhayn and especially Hazama (although, if I understood correctly, Valkenhayn is only available as a bonus downloadable character).
Something that I heard and kinda bugs me, even though I don't know if it's true or not, is that they buffed Ragna, who was already a top-tier character in CT, and nerfed others, like Rachel and Tager (who are my preferred characters to play with) to the point of making them very weak. IF IT'S TRUE I'M SAD.

But well, by watching some YouTube vids, I'm pretty sure I'll be completely hooked with Hazama just after trying him... Heh heh.

Yep, Valkenhayn is DLC only.

I don't know about the nerfing thing since I started the series by playing Continuum Shift, but I never really had any problems when playing as any of the two. Also never saw Ragna as really overpowered (Though his Unlimited version is a bitch to take down, but then again, so is Hazama's.)

Ragna is pretty much a jerk with that healing thing he has going for him.
Although I do like to play as him and Jin.

I love that quote. Yeah, Red Is ragna's quotes, Green is terumi's and Blue is Nu's. To be honest, I hated Ragna. And another quote to beat the dead horse.



Valkenhyn, Platinum The Trinity and Makoto Nanaya are the DLC characters in Continuum Shift.

No particular interest in Makoto (I generally dislike bare-handed fighters in Arc games), but Platinum seems pretty cool too. Well, I should say 'martial artists' more than 'bare-handed fighters' to be accurate.

But...This + Hekira no Sora e Izanaedo... Or am I being a blind Makoto Nanaya fan?

Yeah, but the thing is, I suck with martial artists. Question of range I think. Take Tager for instance, he's bare-handed but he's so huge that one punch takes half the screen so I've got no problem with him lol. Same thing with Arakune (well he doesn't even HAVE hands most of the time) or Zato-1/Eddie in GG - they're technically bare-handed but have some range.

Since I haven't played CS, I don't know if Makoto makes up for it though. Valkenhaym can have the same problem but he's badass enough to make me want to play with him.

Best moment ever. Hazama Mirror Match. Two Serpent Kicks hit each other, double down, they both go flying. I really wish I'd have saved that replay XD

anyway, side effects from being banned from a YGO forum I usually visit quite often: I now play Ragna quite well. Need to learn that combo that launches them into the air. I'm also mad that:
B -> C -> 214A -> Rapid -> B -> C -> 214A -> 214D
only does a slight bit more damage than:
B - > C -> 214A - > 214D

Damnit we need the Calamity Trigger combo mechanics back, they where alot better(That combo does like 700 More damage in CT)

The character designs are hit and miss for me. Some of them are a little too "anime" for my liking, but it really is an amazing game with a bitchin' soundtrack (though GG's is just that much better).

I tend to main Makoto (yes, one of the questionably designed characters) or if I'm feeling adventurous, Noel. I like Makoto's fighting style as she's quite similar to Jam from GG (who I also mained).

Hey Reshiram, if you like Blazblue check out Hard Corps: Uprising on XBLA if you haven't already. It's a Contra game made by the Blazblue team and has a really cool soundtrack, too.
