Greetings RolandMelvinZ, welcome to RRR. We've got loads here that you can learn from.
Checking into the Theory and Design section for development help and research.
Also check the forum to which ever engine you're using, you might have a lot of questions when you're just starting so that's always a good section to check first smile.gif

Welcome to RRR ^-^
Emjoy your stay.
Depending which program you're using, there's probably a section for it here on the forum. Be careful to look through the topics before you post asking a question - it's likely already been asked and answered many times before!

Try Jesse Schell's The Art of Game Design: A Book of Lenses. It's kinda expensive, about 50 bucks, but it's well worth your while.
You'll learn on your own, too, and that's alright. Try starting out with little projects, learning the ins and outs of whatever maker you're working with... you know. Just try and have fun - that usually puts you in the right direction at this point. biggrin.gif

By the way, welcome to the forums. Judging by your interests, you'll have a pretty awesome time here!
