Our old guild started on the new server, and someone from our guild declared war on another guild, in the end we won. Funniest thing I've ever seen in Astro Empires haha. http://forum.astroempires.com/viewtopic.ph...13&t=102461 The first hour of us joining the server:
QUOTE ("Hard Core")
The Coon hereby declares war on TSP for trying to recruit guild members.
War starts whenever we have fleet
Will keep you informed on all that stuff as it comes to hand.
This is a serious war declaration.
Be prepared to fight
They surrendered

Is that game like Age of Empires? Seems like it... Anyway, that was one heck of a funny topic to read - all three pages of it. XD

Somewhat similar yes, but it takes years to learn, years to master, and years of time to play (literally)

Wow, sounds like a mixture of Runescape (a bloody lot of time) and Age of Empires...
If I can't beat a game in less than a week (and that's maximum patience) then I don't play it; it's mostly because I can't devote that kind of time to a game, but also because I'll get bored with it after a week or so - especially if I know I won't get anywhere within that amount of time. =\

In a week you could follow the 10 bases in 7 days guide, (or 12 but that's mostly for experienced players). But yeah it takes years. Such as the strongest defense in the game, takes 100+ hours to build for the first level. Then there is ships like Leviathan, Titan or Death Star (no one ever builds death stars because they suck even though they're insanely powerful).
I've had my other account for over 300 days so far, I'm only level 35.xx now, most of the veterans are now between level 60-90 and I'm currently being farmed by a level 57 >.<
Very time consuming but highly rewarding game experience if you're willing to devote the time for it.

It seems like it's as "rewarding" as getting to the max level of some skill on Runescape - just my opinion of what I can see thus far, and of my experience in similar games (for example, Realm of Empires - in which case I administrated a 500-member guild and was in the top-ten bracket for a long time before quitting for lack of interest, lol).
I wish you luck in getting out from under that "farming person", lol.

Thank you I'm having some luck so far. It's rewarding because you have a lot of fun interacting and dominating other players, and because it's time helluva well spent xD

Ah ok. XD
I am generally too friendly to other players to attack them, which is why I stopped attacking players when I became the guild administrator (in the other game) - but also because if I did attack any normal player (not on the top 50 list) there would be no challenge for me at all, lol. It was boring once I got that high. =\
Which is another point.... I tend to get bored of games that have very little replayability value.

I have no clue how to read that report. You should do a run-down for us non-players. XD

Let's see, Unit is the column for which units are used in each player's force, the start quant. and end quant. mean how much they used, and how much is left over after the battle. Power is how much damage each unit's ships do (he had 5 corvettes so that's 5 x 4.4) Armour is how much damage each ship can take before being destroyed.
I am now going to attack and pillage him with 15 corvettes since he is vulnerable for 48 hours.

Ah nice. XD So Corvettes are a rather strong unit then? And 15 Corvettes is overkill?

Was overkill xD, he sprouted defenses so I had to recall my fleet, I attacked him with 35 corvettes and the calculator gave me inaccurate results, so I had to get a guild member to finish the last defense off so I could pillage & plunder him with a scout ship.

Ha, that's awesome. XD It's still funny how someone that new can muster enough defence to have you use so many though, lol.

It's not hard, I think according to the structures he had placed it would of taken him twentyish minutes to build them, and my flight was 2 hours so xD
In 5 hours my fleet comprised of 30 Corvettes, 30 Frigates and 120 Fighters will be finished. Just waiting on the last 20 Frigates to finish. Sending it straight away to a nice target. xD
I have made a video for my guild about our declaration against [TSP] Has synthesized voices. (Remind you of someone? )
