OK, well i have made a few posts here already, but i realized i haven't introduced myself yet, so i would like to do so.

I am currently working with RPG maker XP and consider my self a knowledgeable newb in terms of RPG making. My other love is composing music. I have been composing music for far longer then i have been working with the rpg maker (been doing music since i was 14 ( am 22 now) And been using the maker for 3 months now XD ) But i have always loved games since i can remember, especially rpg's! So i thought it would be fantastic to be able to make my own game with my own music.

So this looks like a great place to meet fellow users, players and creators with similar interests. To trade ideas and to get feed back. Also I have a many great number of ideas as to what i would like to do with my game. i notice a lot of people struggle with things such as storyline and trying to avoid cliches. And alas i must admit it is difficult to resolve these problems. But luckily with the power of laziness, boredom and slight substance abuse I have come up with a storyline i think is a nice combination of originality and some borrowed or modified cliches. (after all some cliches are either to good not to include or inescapably common)

Now here is my problem. (and im sure most will have similar issues lol ) I want to go EPIC! like 100+ hours of gameplay. (i know fat chance, but let me dream ;p ) And i believe the story i have in mind can accomplish this with out getting boring and keeping the player intrigued. My problem lies in the fact that im just one guy, lol. (and i like to go by the philosophy of two heads are better then one) So if theres any one here that has the desire to work together on an original project let me know! Im not another aimless guy who wants to make a game but doesn't know what to do. I know exactly what i want to do! (in terms of storyline and how the game will play out)

My main issues would be graphical. more character sets and battler graphics then any thing. I am reasonably satisfied with the tile sets i have found across the internet (though you can never have to many tile sets) but as far as characters and enemy graphics goes, im rather at a loss. I plan on makeing the entire sound track and SFX for the game my self so thats not an issue. So if theres any graphics designer or visual artist out there looking to team up with some one, im your guy.

EDIT: oh, almost forgot, heres a link to my youtube so you can check out some of my music.

tl;dr

Making a long game takes.... Skill.
Sure the character sets may be little in quantity, but if you ever played the old Pokemon games, they used a lot of the same character and it still turned out great (except for the encounter rate dry.gif)
I'll check out your music right after this post, but won't give food back since this is the wrong place to do it (and you didn't request it tongue.gif)
Welcome to RRR

P.S. I was joking

---EDIT---
