Ah, pixel art. The only art I can actually almost do! XD

I felt as if Photobucket wasn't really a nice place to place my art anymore, so I think here will do nicely.

Please, please comment and critique them I need all the help I can get. (:

Well, here goes.

(All people made are using Emmych's Sprite base)

<3 The bird is pretty sweet. Made him (The bird) without any references or bases. Let's call the man Keito.

Latest one. Made without references. (: Her name is Daisy. XD

These are made for Erangot's game, Happy Field.

Well, there isn't a lot, but critiques are welcome and appreciated!

Those are pretty good! ^^
I love the bird! Is he riding a naked man there? 0.o

Anyway, you're doing splendidly - especially without references (on your "latest one"). ^^
Blueruby67
Thank you! I've really just started. ^-^

And, uhm, yeah, he is. XD I haven't drawn the clothes yet. Lol. Oops.

But, yes, thank you.
X-M-O
You're welcome. ^^

You are doing very well for a beginner. =]
Also, you should put some clothes on the guy - few people like to see a naked man running about. XD
Is the bird naked too? D=
Pal88
Same as everyone else has said really.
For a beginner your doing very well. I'm no artist but your girl (without reference) is pretty sweet. Well done, keep practising and you'll be spriting in no time at all
Blueruby67
The bird IS naked! DX But, I hope his feathers cover him well enough. (:

The man really does look better clothed. ^-^ However, the kimono was sort of messed up.

Anyway, here are some more that were made.

X-M-O
Very nice. ^^
You do especially well with hair and outfits - not to mention colour schemes. =]

Ah, yeah. The bird's feathers cover him well enough. XD
Blueruby67
That means a lot coming from you guys. ^-^ I hope to not disappoint in the future!

As soon as more are made, I will most definitely update here. (:

Well, I'm not sure if Double Posting is allowed here, soooo, I'll just Edit. ^-^

I finished the birdies!

The wings open didn't look right, so I scrapped the back view of them. Enjoy, or not, I don't care... That much. XD
Blueruby67
This took me all day. O.O I kinda like it, mostly for the colors. XD Shingles fixed. (:

X-M-O
Wow, that's really good. =]

Oh, and it is ok to double-post after 24 hours if you have an art update to post. =]
Blueruby67
Thank you! Your support is wonderful. smile.gif And, it was really small, but I wanted it to be big enough to fit in a character. (:

Oh no, was it not 24 hours...? O.O
X-M-O
It was more than 24 hours, the last time you posted was the 23rd, so you're ok. =]
Blueruby67
Another house, practically the same, just green and smaller and a more simple roof and no mailbox. XD Yes, the same. Haha.

X-M-O
Small house, lol. Looks nice though. happy.gif
You could eventually create an entire map sheet. =D
Blueruby67
That's what I was hoping for! XD But, I would need a lot of patience, and that's something I don't have.

Do you have any criticisms of it or anything? /newb wantz to know. <3
And I know this wouldn't be a good place to ask, but would it be possible to actually use these in a game or no? You don't have to answer if this is the wrong section, not that it's a very serious question. /rambles.
X-M-O
Criticisms? Sure. ^^

1 - Okay, the colours are great, but you need a little more contrast. They seem to blend just a little too much. wink.gif
2 - The walls of the house have an interesting perspective adjustment, but the remainder of the house doesn't match that perspective.
For example, this image of a house (from a pokemon game) has straight walls, and it isn't necessary to have a perspective adjustment.
However, if you are going to make the adjustment, then you'll need to make the remainder of the house match that adjustment (see this image as an example).
3 - You're missing some shadow and lighting effects (for example, the chimney has no shadow and the door seems to be sitting against the outside of the wall rather than being inset). The lighting on the top of the house assumes the light is coming directly from above (since both sides of the roof are shaded in the same colour) however the window shows shading as if they light is coming from the top-right.
4 - The chimney looks like the stones that make it are a pattern, though not a proper pattern as a brick chimney would have.
5 - The steps do not appear to be "stepping up" as there is no shadow to show that the first is lower than the second (walking in from outside the house).

I think that will be enough to work on for now. =D
(I don't critique much, so hopefully what I've said makes sense to you, lol.)

I took a lot of your advice to heart and made it into this. ^^ I think it looks a lot better.

EDIT:

Made a few more very minimal changes. happy.gif
