Anyone played this game? If so, what's you're best memory about it, favorite music and whatever else you want to talk about this game.

I've finished it for the first time this year, and I've gotta say such a great game with good music and storyline. The characters are pretty likable and the ship battles are amazing.

My favorite memory of this game would be when you first get the Delphanus(sorry if it's spelt wrong.) I felt unstoppable as soon as I got that ship. My favorite character would have to be Aika. She's pretty funny and a little headstrong. My favorite sound track of the game would be bombardment or the ship battle theme. It's music just adds to the turn base combat, especially when some fires a cannon.
Also I own the Gamecube version, sadly, but at the same time I don't care, because my friend was kind enough to give it to me. I'm so grateful ^^

I'll add more when I remember, but what does anyone else here think?

Skies of Arcadia is THE game that made me buy a Dreamcast, alongside Soul Calibur. Sadly, my Dreamcast ended its life being throwed at lightspeed (or close to) into a wall...

I played it the first time on a friend's console and though it was pretty slow and bare. And then, after 3-4 hours, I started to get hooked.

I agree the Delphinus is a pretty nice ship to have but my favorite memory would be more story oriented and actually pretty late in the game. I'll put it in a spoiler even if the game is old, just in case:
Spoiler
When Alfonso dies. Seriously, I wanted him dead since the beginning of the game. The only regret would be that I'd never had to kill him myself. >_<

My favourite player character is Drachma, because he's badass. And like every badass character in every game, he's not very often in the party.
Galcian wasn't bad as well, as a character; well at least I liked him better than Ramirez but I can understand if they wanted a pretty boy as final boss...
Darkblade
This is a game I really need to replay. (And purchase a copy and a new memory card.)
I remember having good times with this a bunch of years back.

I don't remember much about it unfortunatly.
I played the gamecube version which was pretty good.

Unfortunatly, I remember very little about the storyline but I remember Gilder was my favourite character.
You only had a 4th party member for a little while and the member kept changing too, which is kind of cool and annoying at the same time.
I dont know if you could choose who you had near the end of the game since I didnt finish it.
I got bored of it sometime after getting a prince guy on your team. :I
I don't think I liked that prince guy.

Very very true about the spoiler...completely forgot about it too. ^^;
My only wish for the game is getting the chance to fight every armada ship in the game. There were a few ships that didn't even see any action... oh well.

Make a fangame to be able to fight all the armada! Meanwhile, resurrect Ramirez and make him fall in love with Vyse. Screw Aika and Fina.

...okay I was joking. But it's the mindset of 75% (made-up percentage) of people creating fangames.

@Darkblade: You mean Enrique? Yeah, I'm not fond of him either. Basically, I rarely like pretty princes, no matter which game (like Avis in Stella Deus, just URGH).
I think you can recruit Glider near the end of the game but I don't remember very well. I did recruit Drachma before the final battle though.

Yeah you can recruit Glider, but I recruited Enrique mostly because of the fact that his Justice shield cuts damage in half; helped a lot for the last boss too. ^^;

Was one of my favorite games back in the gamecube. (Or was it for the PS2...? I really can't remember now...) My only complaint with it was that, for me at least, there were points were the only way to beat bosses was to spam them with the ultimate attacks. (The ones you got when your action gauge thing was on maximum.) That could've been possibly because I never really grinded for levels during the whole game at all, regardless, it was a bit of a downer.

But one way or another, yeah, awesome game, the ship battles were all beyond fun too. ^w^

It is actually one of the few games which i would love to see an actual official continuation of, though, were it to be done, I fear it might be ruined. x_x

I demand an HD remake of this game. I actually just played through the Gamecube version again recently. My favorite character was Gilder hands down. He's always how I imagined myself if I was a pirate. All suave and cool. I was actually set to voice him in a fan game that ended up not going down. Sadness.
My favorite song is Military Facility but I also love all of the battle music. I'm not sure what my favorite part was, the whole game was just so great. But one part in particular will be with me forever.

When you find Drachma again in the Ice Temple place and he's been with the whale he was chasing after reconciling with it and accepting that it was just a victim of the Moon Crystals too. I shed a tear for it when it died. Skies of Arcadia will always be with me as one of the few games that made me cry. lol

a remake would be a great i idea. I wouldn't spending money on another copy, especially if there are added features. The military facility music is also another great sound track of the game. As for the spoiler, I actually didn't expect to get the moon crystal that way at all. O-o

Yeah, it was a nice twist. Good of them to mix things up a bit. I would love a remake of this game. Add in all the director's cut material from the Gamecube version and some more bonuses. Even if they don't add anything, HD graphics, remastered score, and voice acting would sell it for me.

Ah, this is still one of my top Dreamcast games. I guess for me it was the whole exploration and new ways of moving around the 'world' map - different obstacles and everything like that.

I dunno about a remake, it's something that's great - stood the test of time - and shouldn't really be poked with a stick because it might bleed over to floor as much as Final Fantasy 7 has done.

I agree with all that. I'll add that, for the love of all that is just, Vyse must have a different voice actor than the one featured in battles. Because his "Moon, give me strength!" was beyond ridiculous.

...well, Aika's wasn't that better either.

I don't have much to say - but I do know that I've always wanted to give this game a try, but I never had a chance to. I won't be able to for awhile, but it's on my "To-play" list.

you should go to your local gamestop and buy a copy if you have a gamecube. It's worth the money, trust me.

I'll definitely get either when I get a job or after this trip me and my fiance are saving up for. XD

My favorite memory of this game is getting the Delphinus too! As soon as the new world map theme came on I was just amazed and explored the ship like crazy. I was always obsessed with FFs' airships and so a game based on airships, pirates and all that was exactly the kind of game I wanted. It's one of my favorite games ever.

yeah exploring the ship was the first thing I did too. Even now, I'm still playing it again for a second go. ^^
