Wow, I can't believe its been so long since Brawl was released.

I played a bit of it the other day, nostalgia!
I only play once or twice a every month or two at my friends house, recently, we kind of phased it out since we were getting a bit tired of it. (I get beaten 90% of the time)
So yesterday I played it for the first time in what felt like a year.
It was awesome.
I watched a bunch of the cut scenes from the Sub Space Emissary.
I had forgotten how good they are, how expressive the characters could be without dialogue.

I'm a huge fan of Melee and Brawl, a couple of years back there was a smash bros thread that went on for ages, it sadly died as most do.
Memories...

So, does anyone still play this game or one of the previous games?

Hahaha...I remember back with all the surrounding hype on Brawl -- and impatiently awaiting to play it -- only to find out that the online play sucked...ah...good times.

I haven't played Brawl or the original in a long time, but I did play Melee a few months just to kill sometime; I don't know what happened to my mad skillz, but I suck now at Melee.

...Anybody want some free target practice? *groan*

I haven't played Melee in quite a while.
For most of the early 2000's that was the only game I played on the gamecube.
I still use the same controller to this day. It is one with the Smash Bros.
It works perfectly all these years later after all that melee and Brawl gameplay.

I expect I'd be a bit rusty at melee.
Oh man, now I want to go and play melee!

I love Super Smash Bros on N64. I always played Link, my favourite VG character of all time.

Ah, i stil have all three versions of the smash bros, I have to say, i like Meele's Fighting / Physics style more than Brawl, but Brawl is more open in the content area, Overall, i've played Meele the longest overall, Gogo Falco, Sheik and Dr. Mario! I used to like Roy, but his sword is as blunt as.... something really blunt whoops.gif

I still love Brawl, although I definitely don't play it much anymore. The last thing I remember doing was trying to get through Subspace Emissary on the hardest difficulty. It's actually extremely difficult - even with stickers you'll be KO'd extremely fast, and even with continues some stages can be really difficult due to how long it can be between continue checkpoints. I think I'd just made it to the actual Subspace parts, so I should really finish it up.

Excited about the possibilities of Smash Bros 4, especially since I remember Sakurai saying somewhere he didn't originally intend to do Brawl until Nintendo asked him to; I hardly expected he'd be willing to release another.

You make a good point, I wasn't expecting another one so soon. Although "soon" is relative, considering the new Wii U is long over-due. XD

At any rate, I still play all three of the Super Smash Bros. games (N64, GC, Wii) because it is extremely entertaining. (I happen to be playing Brawl today because my cousins are over the house and we decided to do a tournament with ping pong and video games, lol.)

I've completed the Space Emissary on Hard, but not the hardest difficulty (yet; I'll get around to it soon enough) and you are completely correct - it's rough, lol.

Super Smash Bros. 4 is going to be amazing. I wonder what they'll name it. Btw...I have all SSBs and would love to have peoples' friend codes.
zolaga
I recently started playing brawl again and started texture hacking characters into it. It was criminal that King K. Rool wasn't in Brawl, so I put him in over King DeDeDe xD
