I placed a title screen in the database section, including a BGM for title screen
but when I do a test play, I get no BGM, not my title screen image, just:

New Game
Load Game
Quit Game

with a blue background, no matter what image or BGM I use, this fact won't change.

but my gameover picture with it's BGM DOES WORK.

so I don't get it..

how do I fix this?

You probably disabled title screen. Check on the toolbar, the option just before Help must be active.
