When the game is finished and you wouild like to review it, how do you do so?
I mean, anyone can point out flaws and say if they liked it but how do you present it.
Where do you start?
Do you just write what's on your mind when reviewing that game from beginning to end?
Do you have to play the full game for it to be a true review?
What method do you use for taking notes? Paper and pen? Word pad? Or do you just remember what happens?
How long should a typical review be?
X-M-O
Is this in relation to user-reviews or staff-reviews?

I just write my thoughts as I'm playing, I usually explain what it is that I have to do in the story and what the story is about. I play as much of the game as is possible. I go between wordpress and the game, typing as I play.

While playing, I keep a list of notes in Notepad++ including my thoughts and opinions. The way I start is by breaking it up into categories: Graphics, Audio, Gameplay, Storytelling, and overall impression. My default score is average (5/10) and I add and subtract points depending on if a given area is better or worse than average. I don't think length really matters. Furthermore, I don't think it's necessary to play the full game to review it. I promise that I'll play a game for at least 2 hours before reviewing it, but if it fails to grab me in that time, then I won't continue playing.

What I do when reviewing games is to start off with taking notes on pen and paper referencing all the points in the game that I am going to mention in the review. If I am using screenshots then I use Shotty, it is fast and can select a section of a window then resize it in the editor than save it quickly biggrin.gif
Then set it up in the same way as Sailerius. biggrin.gif

Thanks for sharing how you guys review games.
I like Sailerius' method the most because it seems to be a fair thing to start at a 5/10 score.
