Hey,

I've got a quick question about some Gods. (And on that note, I'm thinking it might be a good idea to make a sticky'd topic for things like this?)

Anyway, my world has seven Gods that came to the main land on ships and created seven kingdoms. I can't decide on the last 2, and would love an opinion.

1. The Knight (Honor, strategy)
2. The Wizard (Wisdom, alchemy)
3. The Priestess (Faith, fertility)
4. The Warlock (War, battle)
5. The Druid (Weather, nature)

Now I can't decide on the sixth and seventh. They're supposed to be unique in their own way and have some sort of leadership element, as the above five have.

a. The Beastmaster
b. The Ranger
c. The Barbarian
d. The Alchemist
e. The Witch
f. The Builder / Engineer
g. The Necromancer (I'm not sure about this one, it's perhaps too magic-y and evil, but I still wanted to add it as an option.)

I think a / b / e / f are the best candidates, c being too similar to the Warlord and d being too similar to the Alchemist. (And on that note The Barbarian might replace The Warlock, but anyway that's not my question. happy.gif)

I'm thinking a, b, and f.
Beastmaster could be like loyalty, instinct, intimidation, dominance, life, nature.
Ranger could be guile, war, strategy.
Builder/Engineer could be strategy, strength, artistic.

I think The Witch would just be too similar to the Necromance, Warlock, or Wizard.
Twin Matrix
Hm, yeah, good point about The Witch being too similar and the loyalty aspect of the Beastmaster. The Ranger could also be associated with speed and precision (like praying to The Ranger that you arrive on time somewhere, stuff like that).

Now to decide which ones to cut down to 7..?
Titanhex
Surprised you didn't do "The Sage" to represent Wisdom.

I would think "The Builder" would represent Ingenuity. May also represent Civility, Settling, Design, or Creation. Couldn't "The Ranger" represent Cunning, or Instinct? "The Beastmaster" could represent Primal Spirit. But certainly you wouldn't want the Beastmaster and the Ranger to both be the last candidate.

My suggestion? B and F.
Twin Matrix
B and F?

And yeah, they could represent all those things as well. Though what the Gods represent isn't really what I need an opinion of as much as which 2 Gods I would work best to be added. (:

Rogue: (Guile, Cunning)

Ranger: (Dexterity, Balance)

Beastmaster: (Loyalty, Instinct)
Titanhex
Pick b and f. Under what I'm guessing to be their representation, those two sound the best with the others.

EDIT: Oh, also, these two could work well under a different order of the 5.

1. The Knight (Honor, strategy)
3. The Priestess (Faith, fertility)
2. The Wizard (Wisdom, alchemy)
5. The Druid (Weather, nature)
4. The Warlock (War, battle)

Then:

7. The Witch
6. The Barbarian
Twin Matrix
Ooooh, right. Not sure why I didn't think of B and F that way. :') Thanks.

What's up with the order change, though? It was just totally random, there's no "order". I'm guessing you sorted it like good >>> evil?
Titanhex
More like Civility to Savagery. Though under a first-draft. Under scrutiny they could be re-ordered.

What was your idea? You posted 3 Gods instead of 2, of which 2 I already listed and 1 that is not viable. ;P
