Recently I've been using the default IPB theme, and oh my god, the site is so much nicer to look at (no offence meant) to me. It's more navigable, more spacious, and just generally nicer to browse. Personal taste or whatnot.
Anyway, I just thought it would be nice since this theme is available, to change the logo, as that's the only thing that sticks out.

But other than that, thank you for making this theme available (a bit of pos feedback for once lol).

The advertisement bar (floating above the forum - at the top) and the other advertisement bar (directly above the forum location breadcrumbs) doesn't exist in the IPB Default skin (there is only one advertisement bar visible).
Is that why you like it more?
Oh wait, the forum is also much more wide... so things don't stretch the page when posted in topics/posts.
However, signatures are always completely visible (so, very long signatures aren't shortened). I think that would annoy me, lol.
Things are too wide in PMs though. =\
Eh, just a preference I suppose. =]
(Except for the huge reduction in advertisements, lol.)
Also, considering the length of the forum (fits to your screen, basically) any logo made for it would be difficult to match all screen sizes/resolutions. However, centring the logo may solve that issue. Hmm...

Oh, I use noscript (not an ad blocker, it just blocks javascript) so I didn't realise those ads where there. That wasn't my reason, no

All you'd need to do is put an R3 logo over this:

I will ask i entry if they could do that for us - and get back to you.

Wait.. if your just changing the logo, can't you just do that through the admin cp? Not having to contact iEntry?
Or am I missing something :/..

iEntry being the owners now of RRR there's restrictions that have been in place, so yes unfortunately even something as an image replacement does have to be taken up with them.

The Logo has now been changed!

There seems to be an error, I can see the new logo and the old one. The old one appears underneath, making the banner look messed up.

Seems normal to me. Maybe you should hard refresh your browser.

Same for me on Opera Mobile.
Edit: Just saw it. There is a comment end tag below the image for me so it might be the hiding that was failed.

I'm on Chrome too, perhaps it is an issue with certain browsers?

Just tried it and I see both banners and I'm on Firefox.

I wonder why Kread-Ex saw it okay?
I am on Chrome and I see two.

It also centers everything thus following on the page for me

Nice though!

I've got the same issue as Wyatt. Everything is centered for me. I'm also seeing both the RRR and Invision logo at the top.

Apr 26 2011, 02:41 PM
I'm using it in Firefox, and I only see the one RRR logo - and nothing is centred for me, lol.
I think that settings and differing computers/browsers is the issue here, although it is possible that the coding is simply "bad" for certain groups of people with similar settings/browsers/computers/etc.
darkyoshi
Apr 26 2011, 04:22 PM
It has never been an issue before and since it's happening on multiple computers, the issue is on their end.
X-M-O
Apr 26 2011, 05:03 PM
Yes, but what I'm saying is that, if it isn't happening for all computers, the problem is related to something iEntry changed and is only affecting certain computers (with certain settings/browsers/etc.). =]

Sorry think things have gotten a bit side tracked on the RPG RPG Revolution skin alterations regarding the banner and fixing that.
We'll ask for that to be next on the list.

This is the problem if it helps:
CODE
<div id="logostrip"><a href='http://www.rpgrevolution.com/forums/index.php?'><!--ipb.logo.start--><img src='http://images.ientrymail.com/rpgrevolution/rrr.png' style='vertical-align:top' alt='IPB' border='0' /><!--ipb.logo.end--></a></div>
<!-- <div id="logostrip"><a href='http://www.rpgrevolution.com/forums/index.php?'><!--ipb.logo.start--><img src='http://www.rpgrevolution.com/forums/style_images/1/logo4.gif' style='vertical-align:top' alt='IPB' border='0' /><!--ipb.logo.end--></a></div> -->
The one comment cancels out the other comment.
Replace with:
CODE
<div id="logostrip"><a href='http://www.rpgrevolution.com/forums/index.php?'><!--ipb.logo.start--><img src='http://images.ientrymail.com/rpgrevolution/rrr.png' style='vertical-align:top' alt='IPB' border='0' /><!--ipb.logo.end--></a></div>
<!-- <div id="logostrip"><a href='http://www.rpgrevolution.com/forums/index.php?'><!-/-ipb.logo.start-/-><img src='http://www.rpgrevolution.com/forums/style_images/1/logo4.gif' style='vertical-align:top' alt='IPB' border='0' /><!-/-ipb.logo.end-/-></a></div> -->
and it should be fixed.

I figure with ientry it's best to do the work for them as it's more likely to get done then ^^

It should work now. I can't say because I never had the issue, so you'll have to test it yourself.
