Since it's two months away, I thought I'll just post a topic on it, so anyone can post anything about it. What do u think will Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo show off at the event and what r u hoping to see from ur favourite console?

Square Enix showing off a final fantasy game is definitely inventible, but which one?

Nintendo looks like it's got alot to show off this year, with the newly announced console and the 3DS, so there'll be likely to be 3DS games. No idea what sony will show off and microsoft either.
Zakerot
I think Sony will show off the NGP and a few ps3 exclusives. I have no idea what will Microsoft show off maybe the next Call of Duty. xD

Nintendo well, games for the 3DS and their new console if it's true.

I think Square Enix will focus on Final Fantasy Versus XIII and maybe, I said maybe, Hitman 5 for action fans.

Those are my thoughts, I'm not saying that that's what gonna happen. xD
Shadyone
One of my least favourite places in the world gets the best event of all time.. damn you lucky americans.. anyway I think will DEFINITELY show Final Fantasy versus XIII, it's probably the most anticipated one as well.. not to mention news about it came way before any of the other ones. Ocarina of Time comes out on 3DS not far behind (a few days I think) before E3.. would be awesome if they showed it there. I can't wait to watch E3 on TV.. exciting ohmy.gif (Good Game goes to E3 and talks to some of the developers and shows us all of E3 or most of it atleast)
McMuffin
I don't know about you guys, but I want to see some more about Skyward Sword. They showed a trailer and a demo of it last E3 and it looks pretty good, so I'm hoping Nintendo goes further in to it and perhaps assigns a realistic release date.

G4TV tends to show the major conferences and stuff on TV each year; so yes, you can watch it on TV.

If you have DirecTV you're SOL, because they canceled their contract with G4 months ago. Motherfuckers.

I'll be watching it on IGN then, thanks for the heads up biggrin.gif

And I'm looking forward to seeing whether the NGP gets cracked. If it gets cracked, I'm getting it. Period.
Shadyone
It'll be one mother of a console to crack dude.. considering how certain models or psp firmwares are impossible to crack.

I've been dying to play a new Pikmin game (sorry, fan of this game so ignore this part if you aren't)...
I almost don't care about the controls, I just want to see this game come out with a new story-line and better graphics/options/etc. (including multi-player capabilities for the story mode).

So Nintendo should first announce a new platform (if the rumours are true) with better graphics capabilities and better controller capabilities (or at least the option to have everything playable with the old GameCube controllers). Lastly, it should definitely have backwards compatibility (all the way back to the GameCube) plus better download/on-line capabilities (similar to the Wii, but more similar to the PS3 and 360). And second, they should introduce Pikmin 3 and get back to the amazing style of games like LoZ OoT, Mario RPG, and Super Metroid.

Microsoft and Sony need to surprise me by making less stupid games that require/use the Move and Kinect.
While I like both, to a certain degree and for certain games, I stopped believing in them once they began making most of the crap that is now on the market for those system devices. ><

There, all better. XD
Stern
I'm not super interested in what the big 3 will announce I'm more interested in various game devs. Mostly Valve and Gearbox. I'm hoping Valve will announce HL2: Episode 3 or a new project of theirs. I'm also very curious what Gearbox will be doing after Duke Nukem Forever. Hopefully something "borderlands-esque"

As for predictions;

Nintendo will announce their new console together with some of the release titles.
Microsoft will announce Kinect for Windows. They might hint at a new console, but it seems unlikely at the moment.
Sony will drop more details on the NGP and most likely show a lot of Uncharted 3.

These are just speculations, obviously.
DarkNesa
As Zakerot said, I'm sure Square Enix will give more info about Final Fantasy Versus XIII, and perhaps we'll see more of Final Fantasy XIII-2, maybe with some actual in-battle gameplay! And finally, at long last, Noctis' Kingdom will be named, we'll see some English VA and that mystery man in the XIII-2 Teaser Trailer will be named!

God, now I've gotten myself excited.

~DarkNesa
Shadyone
You've made me excited too DarkNesa ooooh I can't wait.. hurry up, stupid time and it's being slow when I don't want it too!!! I wanna see it sad.gif
DarkNesa
Nomura says that Versus XIII is a no-no to be released in 2011. He also says that there will be more than four playable characters. You can also steal army cars, army machina etc. Nomura said that they want to make something amazing, and that we should wait patiently.

I am dead certain we'll get to see at least XIII-2 and Type-0. I don't really care about Type-0, more Versus and XIII-2. GOD DAMMIT! I WANT THE GAME ALREADY!

Yea I agree, the style they presented is much more appealing to the eye IMO and captures a truer essence of the Zelda series. I'm not sure about you guys but something about the first 3d Zelda games just seemed dull, the bright colors are a major plus.

Mainly I'm very interested in what Nintendo will bring to the table in this E3, now that it seems they are focusing more on remakes of their classic titles.
amaro57
Is Garlyle doing another live chat room during the presentations?
Garlyle
Oh man people remember that? 8D

Yeah; UNB plans to do it. Whether or not I'll actually be here to do that though I don't know due to the fact that I do have to work; I need to find the schedule if anyone has it.

Atleast you guys get to play it, I dont even have a ps3...I'll have to read it on wikipedia or watch some playthrough videos on youtube lol. Think about it though, this is Nomura's last FF game, I wouldn't blame him for taking a long time to finish it. Trust me, when Nomura says he is going out with a bang...hes going out with a bang lol
Garlyle
Okay yeah. I should be available for the Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo pressers; EA and Ubisoft occur during the times in which I must sleep and ha ha, EA and Ubisoft. ...But yeah.

It seems somebody spoke the words for me. I am also excited for the new console (if it is true).

Dammit, Square isn't spilling about Type-0 or XIII Versus. -_-

Dues Ex is enough, I guess -3-

So any details about the chat room then? =\
Garlyle
Schedule is here, should be the first post.

You'll definitely be able to access it at those days and times, on the site (even if I'm not awake). I'll also have a CLEARLY VISIBLE SIGNATURE like last year and probably a topic specifically for E3 news and stuff when it all occurs too.
Garlyle
Ugh, really wanted to make a new topic for this so I could have the first post and an easily updatable reference point but oh well.

For those interested in Liveblogging/chatting, the link takes you to a page which has a Liveblog / chat for all of the E3 events set up, plus schedule. We can also hook you up with video streams as necessary. I'll only be around for the Big Three though (Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo)

The Microsoft E3 Presser will be beginning in 30 minutes. In about 10-20 The chat will go up for general chatter.

When all is said and done I'll have a coverage post so you can catch up on everything, if you weren't here.

Microsoft E3 Conference Starts:

*Begins with Modern Warfare 3 and a GLORIOUSLY TIMED controller disconnect. Began with, of all things, an underwater sequence. Checkpoints everywhere. You plant a bomb on some russian sub and then get to see a city burning above the surface. Somehow I feel like this is almost common, although it's mildly impressive--or is it actually Goldeneye 007 on the Wii? Someone in SDA was freaking out about how similar what it showed was...
*Infinity Ward apparently has a creative strategist WHO KNEW
*New Tomb Raider. As in literally Tomb Raider". SO MUCH REALISM AND GRIT and quicktime events. Looks more inspired by Uncharted in style, but not terrible, actually. Fall 2012
*Oh boy it's EA SPORTS TIME. Kinect will work with EA Sports 2012 games.
*BioWare announces that Mass Effect 3 will react to voice via Kinect. Promised to be good. It seems to work well.
*Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Ghost Recon Future Sight is... meh. They're playing around with a gun-building system though which is kind of a neat idea but eh.
*The New New New X-Box Experience dashboard. YouTube will be natively supported. Also a search engine right on the system - which is actually kinda neat. Also, live television channels. Also "I can watch TV on my TV". Also UFC but who cares.
*Gears of War 3. Is still not out. But it's looking alright. Also massively cinematic.
*Some new Kinect game, Ryse - which is basically You Are A Roman Soldier. Could do worse.
*Oh wait Halo CE Anniversary. Because anyone missed the original Halo.
*Forza Motorsport 4. If you're into that kind of thing.
*Fable the Journey, if you're into Fable. ...Also it's Kinect. And on rails. And you look lame playing it.
*Minecraft for Kinect? Minecraft for Kinect!
*A Disneyland game on Kinect. KINECT KINECT. It's minigames on rails.
*Kinect Star Wars gets the biggest response from the crowd. If you don't know why go find out. Here's a hint: The input lag is absolutely incredible.
*EVERY KINECT GAME IS FUCKING ON RAILS
*Tim Schafer does... Sesame Street: Once upon a Monster. Also it's really smooth and somehow forgivable, for being unabashedly your childhood. D'aww.
*Kinect Fun Labs - it's curious little toys and gadgets and stuff constantly being added to or something. It's about showing off the innovation that... y'know, games were supposed to be making use of. It shows off ideas... unconnected to games. Tech Demos. Too bad they're not actual games.
*Wii Kinect Sports Season 2 not that anyone cares.
*Dance Central 2. It's apparently the one good thing on Kinect and they've taken some lessons from Dance Central
*Go out with Halo 4 teaser. SURPRISE SURPRISE.

Ultimately: 360 has no new IP as usual or anything all that exciting. When the best thing you have is Tomb Raider - TOMB RAIDER...

"I didn't think Microsoft could do worse than they did last year, but I guess with the Kinect, anything is possible!"

Hopefully someone covers Ubisoft and EA. I'm out until Sony, g'night.
Stern
I thought Tomb Raider looked amazing. But I guess those games always had a soft spot in my heart since I basically grew up playing them.

Also;
I'll be watching EA and Ubi's so if no one else covers them I can do it.
Garlyle
Go ahead.

To be fair, Tomb Raider actually did look good. Definitely taking cues from Uncharted's success at being a cinematic adventure type of game, but in a good way. It was also the best looking thing there to me which is sad because Tomb Raider has never gotten me excited or even really amused me that much.
CecilHoshino
As a junior member of UNB, I'll also be covering the event in Garlyle's place, if that's alright with everyone. Same rules apply, you can go here for the Liveblog/chatting. I'll be available for the rest of the events lined up to provide the best coverage I can.

The Electronic Arts E3 presser will be beginning at 12:30 PDT, a little less than one hour from now. General chat is now open.

After the event, a summary post will go up with a bit of commentary, to allow for anyone who missed the event to catch up.
CecilHoshino
And that concludes the Electronic Arts Keynote. A brief summary:

*The stage was much simpler than Microsoft's panel, keeping it basic and fast paced all throughout. Really fast paced, too; some demos went by in 3 minutes, if even
*9 games were presented by 9 developers, one after another
*Led off with Mass Effect 3, which promised a similar system to Mass Effect 2, wherein choices you made or questlines you did in ME1 changed elements of ME2. ME3 promises to encompass choices from both
*Mass Effect 3 also gave us a brief combat demo, which ended with a kaiju-sized Reaper barrelling down on Shepard who was firing on it with a minigun mounted to a battle vehicle piloted by Legion. So at least it was a cool brief demo. No reference to the voice commands promised in the Microsoft keynote.
*Release date pushed back to March 6, 2012, almost entirely because of Kinect Support.
*Mention is given now, and throughout the show, of EA's new download system, Origin
*Need for Speed: The Run. Combines a Cannonball Run/Gumball Rally race from San Francisco to New York, with one foot escape sequences run by Quick Time Events. These on foot segments really up the silly, including the guy, on foot, apparently having a police airstrike called on him. Release date November 15th, 2011
*Star Wars: The Old Republic was announced next. After a brief introduction by Bioware CEO Dr. Greg Zeschuck, a full trailer made piecemeal of several other trailers we saw before was shown. No gameplay was included, but it managed to include some ridiculous visuals like a man dual wielded double bladed lightsabers, and Space John Marston. No release date was given, but it's projected for the 2nd half of 2011
*The next SSX game is announced with a grand scope of "Every major mountain range on Earth." Also, Marc, Elise, and Kaori confirmed. Not much was revealed, but more is expected after the keynote and in the coming weeks. Release date around January 2012
*FIFA 12 announced with gameplay features that apparently allow for player impact and player injury. No word if we get to see femurs sticking out legs, or feet going the wrong way around.
*FIFA trailer unveiled, with celebrity endorsements by Drake and Lil Jon. Lil Jon's quest to collaborate with everyone continues.
*The FIFA Football Club is also unveiled, as a cross platform, cross game hub and leaderboard system. Release date given for September 30 2011
*Ray Louis of the Baltimore Ravens, Peyton Hills of the Cleveland Browns, and Clay Matthews of the Green Bay PACKERS! come out to help announce Madden 12. Not much about the game is announced, so some are still in the dark whether or not it will be anything like Madden 11
*Peyton Hills mentioned as cover player for the game. Silent prayer given for him and the Cleveland Browns, given the curse now upon them. Release date August 30 2011
*Sims Social for Facebook announced. Trailer seriously starts heckling the keynote speaker, I swear to God
*Trailer also SERIOUSLY HURTS TO WATCH AND LISTEN TO OH MY GOD
*Curt Schilling, former pitcher for the Boston Red Sox and CEO of 38 Studios, assembles the dream team: Lead Designer Ken Rolston, Artist Todd McFarlane, and writer R.A Salvatore. Together, they bring us Kingdoms of Amalur: The Reckoning. If what they showed us was gameplay in that trailer, I could seriously dig the beat they set. Vague 2012 release date given.
*President of Insomniac Games comes out to reveal new IP, Overstrike. Only the trailer and obvious cutscenes are shown, but the game still looks like it could be a lot of fun. It certainly has fun with itself and has several genuinely funny moments. Also, it stars The Crimson Chin.
*Show concludes with announcement of Battlefield 3, which literally looks absolutely amazing, and seems to play really well too, apart from some peculiar frame skipping near the end during what could be an in game loading buffer. Open Beta to be released September 2011, and the game itself to be released in October.

Ultimately: It's still too early to call, but I think it's safe to say that EA blew Microsoft out of the water with this presentation.

Up next, the Ubisoft presentation at 2:30, which can be viewed here
CecilHoshino
And just as fast, that was the Ubisoft E3 Keynote. A summary of what we saw:

*Nigh incomprehensible French accents! The highlight of any E3
*The show goes off to a flying start with an utterly bizarre and not funny Shakespeare joke
*Rayman Origins is on display first, with a full demo that looks rather fun and funny, if disjointed
*"Mr. Caffeine" takes the stage, and goes off on the most annoying, unfunny presenting seen so far at E3...but at least it's kinda funny the first time due to how bad it is
*So marks the running gag of the Keynote, "What these games must have looked like 25 years ago." And by "25 years ago," they mean "PC Games in 1995."
*Trailer for Driver: San Francisco, but no gameplay footage at all. That's saved for the expo floor
*Presenter for Far Cry 3 has the most deep, evil natural voice I've ever heard, it's glorious
*Speaking of Far Cry 3, it so nice for it to not be brown. Gives its reputation as visually beautiful that much more clout. Far Cry 3 looks to be a throw back to the first game, which is nice. Full gamepay footage shown as well
*Brief cinematic trailer for another World War 2 game. More specifically, an Inglorious Basterds game, I swear
*Tintin game. Starts with concept art and interview with Spielberg, before showing some of the gameplay in that very trailer. Looks okay
*Did Mr. Caffeine just pronounce it Tom Ca-lancy?
*Really long exhibition of Ghost Recon gameplay footage. Might have gone on a bit long, but it does look pretty badass, and they made a nice reveal of the 4 player co-op
*More unfunny jokes from Mr. Caffeine!
*Maniaplanet is announced, and trailer for Trackmania 2 is shown. Shootmania and Questmania are mentioned, but not shown. Apparently, they have gameplay on the expo floor
*Raving Rabbids Kinect game, and--OH MY GOD, THAT MAN'S BEARD IS POINTY!
*The game looks kinda fun, but there's concern of milking the same joke those Rabbids did since they first--SERIOUSLY, IT'S EVIL! AND AWESOME! AND AWESOMELY EVIL! HOW IS IT REAL!?
*The game is slated for a November 8th release. DEVIL BEARD!
*The flashback joke isn't funny, Mr. Caffeine! Stop it!
*Just Dance 3 announced with a commercial trailer. Reveal of multiplatform nature, and guest appearance in trailer by Katy Perry. Acting bratty at the end. So, in character at least.
*No word if Just Dance 3 will feature finally feature "Just Dance" by Lady Gaga, but it will be released October 11
*Rocksmith announced, making it the 3rd game that touted "Learn to play actual guitar," so far has the most credibility
*Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 mentioned...in passing
*Another flashback joke. ....G-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH-D!
*Trailer for Assassin's Creed 3. Old Ezio kicking ass
*Gameplay demo for Assassin's Creed 3. Old Ezio causing major property damage. The game is bananas

Ultimately: While this was Ubisoft's best panel, after the goofy and embarrassing panels last year and the year before, I'm not sure whether or not to say they did better than EA. The gameplay footage shown was very good, but the hosting was just baaaaad. In all, what could be said for it is...

Games: 8/10
Hosting: Microsoft/10
Beards: 11/10

And that's it for Ubisoft. The Sony E3 Key Note starts at 4:45/5:00 PDT, so expect to hear the report from myself or from Garlyle.
Garlyle
*Uncharted 3 is looking as Uncharted as ever. The new villain may or may not be M (As in James Bond)
*Resistance 3 is shooter as ever. Will have a special bundle complete with Move.
*God of War Origins collection (The two PSP games) and Ico/Shadow of the Colossus collection will be in HD and 3D
*Playstation-branded TV. Will apparently support the ability for two splitscreen players to use a full screen. It sounds cool but I bet you have to be very precise about positioning. 500$ apparently.
*Well, let's discuss Move games, like NBA 2012 because you cared apparently.
*Medieval Move is narrated by someone who sounds so very bored.
*Footage of inFAMOUS 2, which is apparently coming out tomorrow... suddenly I see why the original inFAMOUS was offered for free. MOVE IS BEING ADDED but online creation apparently.
*Little Big Planet 2 to get Playstation Move support.
*Starhawk, a spiritual Warhawk successor. No actual gameplay shown.
*Woah suddenly an actual surprise: Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. No actual gameplay.
*EVE Online's creators are bringing "Dust 514" to PS3, an FPS that will... actually connect back to and influence the EVE universe? Huhn. Outside of that it looks like every other FPS.
*Bioshock Infinite. Is actually very colorful and trying to be a bit different in style. Still a shooter. It's involved in Move what a surprise. They're developping something for the NGP too apparently.
*Saint's Row mentioned. Also Move.
*A Star Trek game? Now there's a surprise. And for actual sarcasm, Move.
*SSX will have a unique Mt. Fuji stage on PS3. Need for Speed: The Run mentioned too, and also Battlefield 3 to come with an older entries.

And now to get away from Move

*Playstation Suite (Sweet?): Playstation-licensed Android games will be able to run some Playstation content.

*The NGP (No Games Portable Next Generation Portable) is officially the Playstation Vita.
*It's apparently largely social. :/ . It has some advanced connection options at least but... still.
*No date

*Uncharted: Golden Abyss demo'd. It looks pretty good. Options of controls in a classic or touch or tilt control.
*RUIN: "Action Social RPG". Apparently connects between Vita and PS3. It doesn't look all that spectacular, though it's borrowing a bit from Demon's Souls in having other players affect your game.
*ModNation Racers is bringing a sequal to Vita, and all PS3 created content will be on it.
*Vita confirmed to have cloud saving to move stuff to PS3... also cross-play with PS3
*Little Big Planet is coming to Vita as well.
*Street Fighter x Tekken coming to Vita as well. Surprise PS3 exclusive character: Cole of inFAMOUS.
*Vita apparently has 80 titles in development. There was a montage but no damn names.
Will retail for 249$ on a Wi-Fi only (Hint: 3DS goes for the same price). 3G version is an extra 50$

See you all tomorrow morning. 9AM PST/noon EST, we will actually have things revealed. Things of significance.
Zakerot
I was expecting them to say like 599.99$ for the Ps Vita. Only 299? really?

At least now i can buy 2 or 1 with many games. xD

As for the PS3 games announced I'm just interested in Uncharted 3, inFamous 2 and NBA 2k12. I think I'll probably spend some money on Medieval Move just for lulz.

And that PS Vita option to chat with friends even if they're playing different games must come to the PS3 ASAP. I don't care if xbox already has it, I used it a lot on xbox and I want it on my ps3.
Stern
I was very surprised by the low price of the PSV. I thought'd the 3DS would outdo the PSV solely because I assumed the price for the PSV would be closer to $400.
This will be interesting. Depending on how much first/third party support the Vita gets it might actually be worthwhile getting compared to PSP/PSP Go.

Looking forward to Nintendo's conference ;>

EDIT: I just noticed that Nintendo's conference is only schedules for 60 minutes, while everyone else have had at least 90 minutes. Hmmmm?
amaro57
Well Nintendo is Nintendo, not much for the third party developers for their console. Well, it's about to change, according to Ninty. I believe they want to focus on the console this E3, can not wait.

7pm, very very convenient. Thank you Ninty.
Garlyle
Good morning, Revolutionaries.

Have some links for watching the Nintendo Conference, which starts in half an hour. If you want a liveblog/chat, You're looking for this

Expect a tonne of great stuff 8D

WiiU

Geez who comes up with these names
Garlyle
*Opening is basically a history of Zelda games to get people psyched for the 25th Anniversary project, from the original through Skyward Sword. Accompanied by a live symphony, which will also apparently supply the music for Skyward Sword.
*Finally, the Game Boy Virtual Console library launches - with Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening! Four Swords will also be available for free download. And finally, free Skyward Sword.
*They're doing a concert series of symphonies in every region around the world, in honor of the 25th anniversary. Also, music CDs, surprisingly.
*Shigeru Miyamoto is REALLY energetic.
*Iwata teases at the new system... but doesn't wanna talk about it yet. They say, though, their goal: Is to appeal to every kind of gamer in some way.

*AND NOW: MY BODY IS REGGIE, with 3DS
*Mario Kart 3DS with transforming and customizable karts!
*Star Fox 64 3DS shown off properly, with live reaction showing on faces thanks to cameras
*Super Mario 3D looks to have learned a lot from Galaxy but in a great way. It looks absolutely FANTASTIC
*Kid Icarus Uprising with JOHNNY YONG BASCH AS PIT. Also gameplay holy crap. ...Something to do with cards at the end which is curious.
*Luigi's Mansion 2 to have multiple mansions. I am buying a goddamn 3DS.
*Montage: Resident Evil Mercenaries 3D; Mario & Sonic at the London Olympics; Ace Combat 3D; Cave Story 3D; RE Revelations; Pac-Man and Galaga Dimensions; Tekken 3D; Snake Eater 3D... all in all holy crap.
*Excitebike 3D is free for a while
*Pokemon actually shows up as a 3D Pokedex utility involving a lot of trading

*The "Wii U" (not making that name up). Really does have a touchscreen. Which... is apparently fully usable holy shit that controller is huge but it's incredible. The controller does all kinds of crazy shit.
*Like, you can play games straight on the screen itself, or use the TV.
*But... is it a new console or what we don't even know...
*SUPER SMASH BROS FOR 3DS AND WIIU
*Also "New Super Smash Bros Mii".
*The gamepad is basically meant to be able to handle pretty much anything... this could be really interesting.
*Darksiders 2; Dirt Codemasters; Tekken Successor; Batman Arkham City; Assassin's Creed; Ghost Recon Online; alien Recon; METRO LAST LIGHT WHAT; Ninja Gaiden 3. Seems like the WiiU is fully HD?
*Surprisingly, it's EA who confirms it's fully HD. Battlefield 3, Madden, etc., shown fully powered.
*There's a lot of titles there at the very end - including Animal Crossing and two Kirby games. Hard to target.

So basically, Wii spent several years convincing Sony and Microsoft they needed to force Motion Control into things.
And then snatched up the Hardcore market in a flying sweep of innovation.

Nintendo wins E3
amaro57
I'm am getting a 3DS and WiiU!! I see Square Enix, EA, TWO NEW KIRBY GAMES. Oh mah gawd.

Nintendo wins hands down.

If that Ico/Shadow of the Colossus was made for the WiiU...I'm damn sold.

I cannot stop smiling!

Anyone suddenly get the urge to watch Kung Pow upon hearing the name of Nintendo's new system?

In all seriousness, the controller is neat. Ever since the Super Game Boy proved that portable games could work on the TV, I've wanted SOMEONE to do the opposite. So I approve. Especially since I very frequently face the dynamic of sharing one TV with people who want to do different things.

Most of the game announcements didn't do a lot for me admittedly. I mean, I was already looking forward to things like Ocarina of Time 3D, Skyward Sword and Kid Icarus anyway, so those weren't big(ger) deals to me. I AM psyched to hear about a new Smash Bros. though. Also, the 3DS Mario BRINGING BACK THE TANOOKI SUIT made my day SO much. Also, I'm looking forward to FREE Four Swords, as it is the only Zelda I've never played.

Good show overall. happy.gif

amaro57
I'm getting a 3DS if only for Luigis Mansion. I still play the original like mad on my gamecube.

I believe the 3DS and WiiU versions of the Smash Bros game will be able to communicate. Rock it Ninty.

New info: The two kirby games are called Kirby Wii (Not final) and Kirby Mass Attack.

Attached is a PDF concerning specs on the Wii U.

Oh gawd I was hoping NIntendo would at least say something about Pikmin 3...
But Luigi's Mansion 2? Gawd I loved the first one. It might convince me to get a 3DS.
X-M-O
I guess that means they are either planning to release Pikmin 3 at a much later date, or they are just biding their time in relation to it.
Sigh... I wanted to see something about Pikmin 3 as well. =\

The new Super Smash Bros. game will be totally awesome though! D=

Out of the big three, Nintendo definately had the best conference. Out of them all? EA, the others didn't stand a chance.

I'm interested in Nintendo's first party content in HD. Nintendo usually develop games with a cartoony style or semi-realistic at best. Will they have the assets to release a Zelda game with up-to-date graphics? I wonder.

The Wii U controller looks wonky though and I'm not really sure I like the concept. It does have dual analog sticks, so I guess it's fine.

First impressions of the Wii U

that you can turn into a portable console
that you can't take out of the house?
Why?"

Skarlet looks freakin' great. I'm going to get her as soon as I can.

I was seriously hoping for Boon to tell us that Rain was coming soon, but I guess not. I'll have to wait a little.

Well, Nintendo's conference was a joke. I never thought I'd say this, but for once, Sony had the best conference. Unfortunately, Nintendo's bringing their new console way too late in the game to be relevant. They'll be playing catch up for a long time - the PSV will be a strong competitor against both the 3DS and the Wii U.

Wii was such a letdown, Nintendo needs more than that to convince me to buy their next console.

*SUPER SMASH BROS FOR 3DS AND WIIU

I turned into a 6 year old and almost cried when I read that.
I am a Smash Bros Fan-boy.
Seriously.
The next few years will be hell for me.
I need to go now before I spit fan speculation at you all.

The WiiU looks freaking awesomely twisted though.

I think I understand the Wii U, it's new controller is basically a hand held while the base(the actual console) is a console. It's a neat idea but I'll wait until I get my hands on it. The wii u also will be using blu-ray optical disks, but I don't think to the capacity of the ps3 but I could be wrong.

The wii u could be awesome or a flop but since it supports the wii controllers I'll be alright, I'll still call it the wii hd though.
We should trust Nintendo a bit more than what we are, they did save video games after all.

I like the wii u and I'll be buying it but besides the wii u the nintendo part was a bit boring.. o well it can't be awesome every year..

Meh...I did like about the games they will be releasing for the 3DS. I can't wait for Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Super Mario, and of course...Skyward Sword for the Wii. I can see a HUGE improvement in the graphics compared to the Wii.

I disagree. First they revolutionized gaming with motion controls, which at the time were awesome beyond all belief. After people got tired of it, Sony and Microsoft said "oh hey, it worked for Nintendo, let's make our own motion controlled software!" but people are bored of that. Now Nintendo brings past the power that the Dreamcast could have been, they made it sexier, and they strengthened their staple game series that much more.

I want a Wii U (We you?) now that I've seen that bad-fucking-ass controller.
