Now to start adding resources.....what better than adding Minkoff battlers. In the past posts you will find
a pack added by Chrono c/w cbs d/l which is definitely worth checkin out, done by TeamMarkone. This is
simply in addition to. First of, Id like to credit Angevon who is very popular for her comics and sprites RO
style. Also, the Lonely Alchemist, who made these battlers possible. I will credit more as I go along. If ppl
prefer monsters to heroes then please say.

Another addition that will fit in well with RO battlers. Credit to Bonzai for making this possible.

Feb 6 2007, 12:30 AM
Here you go everyone... This is the first sprite thingy I have ever made, its from the rtp side view battlers above, though I took the walking animation out.
Hey I went ahead and changed the image because the last one I tested in a battle and the pixels were really jumpy and such, this one is as good as I am going to get it...
Edited: Changed Image...

ffviij, thats a really nice addition to the RTP set !! Keep them coming
ffviij
Feb 7 2007, 03:45 PM
Yep I think I am going to go ahead and do the entire rtp set... not promising anything but I will try to get as many done as my little mind can handle

, btw I updated the Sprite I had drawn I went ahead and did the exact template of the others so it all fits together... and if you know who made those other three could you let me know so I can credit them. thanks abunch.

Adding another battler RO style. This could be out of Freddie Krueger.

Feb 26 2007, 12:59 PM
i demand more rtp battlers:D lol joke
It would be great if you guys could keep them coming... And if you could post some pointers or templates on how 2 make them (id like 2 try myself)
ty in advance

Feb 27 2007, 02:11 PM
Okay, here's one more added, including my favourite one ever. Enjoy. Creds to Angevon.
Btw, Im sure there was a standard template posted in previous RO thread if I remember.

Feb 28 2007, 02:57 AM
I have a question.... Why are there two identical attack animations? Is that for random attacks or criticals or something? Because then if id make a diffrent attack animation on the second one it would make the battle more dinamic.
darkhalo
Feb 28 2007, 11:23 AM
Yeah, theres no reason why you can't. You could even add a further animation in the RM. Bear in mind
that there are only four frames, so the action move is limiting in terms of visual content.
sithious
Feb 28 2007, 01:11 PM
So if I change the attack there, it will range randomly betwen the two?
Incidently doesany1 know where to find those tales minkof battlers? ive looked everywhere.
darkhalo
Feb 28 2007, 01:59 PM
Yeap, they change randomly. Do you mean the Tales of Series ?. If so, I have the full set somewhere.
Heres a nice Boss Serpent for Minkoffs sideview....enjoy.

thnx in advance
EDIT:

All of the RO battlers don't work with my minkoff script..
can someone give the script that works or give a link?
darkhalo
Apr 5 2007, 04:10 PM
okay, thats easy. If youre using Der Wolffes script, (which has superseded the original one) just adjust the
frames in the script from 11 to 10. Downside is, you need to change frame stances accordingly. Failing that,
you should find the original RTAB/cbs in here under Chronos thread.

Mega bump, and back again

Sorry this threads been behind, but one thing or another has kept me
away some time. Anyway, heres a couple more to add. Both RO sprites.

Well, I can give a hand so you don't have to change the stances. I mean it's all in the script.

Isn't DW working with a completley different system now that still uses RTAB. I personally favor this one battle system, but question, is the blank space in the monster battler's sheet used as a replacement for their dead pose?
Here's my favorite battler I made, but it's not RO and not aligned completley in most of the poses, but the standing pose is completley operational and since the other poses have something to do with moving the misalignment is not noticed in the game.
darkhalo
Jun 23 2007, 03:56 PM
That would be great. Infact, Im thinking a thread relating to DerVulffes/Minkoffs cbs is worth placing in
here....so many ppl using it now. It could include both script & graphic queries ?
Edit: The blank areas act like FF7 in that they disappear rather than remain as a dead pose.
E_Rohm
Jun 23 2007, 06:05 PM
I'm definetley going to use the disapear act with a few monsters.

DVV new battle system rocks Dark_Halo have you used it yet? Limit Break, skill sort, and it's got eleven poses for the defualt battler, that's where it gets really good. His system can be customized to make your own number of poses like.
P P P P = Pose One I can make a battler with just two poses.
P P P P = Pose Two
I can even have it so if you need more frames for a Pose you can change it from 4 to 10, 30, 55, etc.

edit: here are the mediums I created for the defualt battler in MBE.

Lol... You know, you don't have to make a new thread and new sprite sheets so that the graphics posted on this thread could be compatible with Dervvulman's Animated Battler's Enhanced. In fact it is very flexible as E_Rohm said that you could actually make different pose amount, frame amount for every actor/enemy. What does this mean? It simply means that the graphics here are completely compatible with the new scirpt because all you have to do is subtract 1 frame and rearrange the pose #s which can all be done by modifying the Config Section of the script.
Don't worry about the scripting part to make it compatible. If you just look at the Config Section, everything is self explanatory.
darkhalo
Jul 6 2007, 02:25 PM
Yeap, Der Vulffes new system is completely compatible and is totally customisable with these graphics.
Add in his enhancements and the cbs is mind blowing. Add on Slipknots script and equally you can get
excellent results. Ill do the 11 framer when all this becomes more popular.

Well having looked at some decent White Ties battlers, (not in here) Im going to keep this thread open to
Ragnarok sprites only, then ppl can choose what they want. More sprites to add.

Well after seeing DerVVulfs/Minkoff's cbs versions posted in scripts forum recently, it opens up more
areas for those who use it, or those wishing to use it. Anyways, here's another battler to add.

ok, well can someone answer 2 Qs, i cannot seem to get them answered anywhere, sorry for posting them here its just that they are a little bit relevant.
~1 How can i make sprites and tilesets. I read the same q somewhere else and the reply was just use paint and save it as a Png file, That does not work. There is white all around the pic in the game.
~2 What battle system works with all those sprites that have just been layed down.
Help would be appreciated. TY in advance.
and sorry for being such a newb.
Ps I have the cbsv2.5 battle system.
darkhalo
Aug 19 2007, 12:44 PM
Everyone has to start somewhere, so Ill answer what I can. Most sprites can be picked up from sprite
sites in abundance. As a rule I prefer to work with png's. You can use almost any program for making
and editing sprites, though Ive simply just got used to PS. I even use two or three together sometimes.
To answer your questions. White backgrounds. Are you importing them into your project correctly ? As
a rule I never choose a pure white as a sprite background, it causes all sorts of probs. Try and add new
sprites to a transparant background and save as a png file.
The cbs v2.5 system will work perfectly well with all these sprites, no need to configure anything at all.

what program do you recommend.
i will check those sprites out, and don't worry you will be in my credits when my game is finished.

Its fine i found one i like>
and oh yea, if you thought i was kind of new to this before you were wrong, I am completey new, lol
so basically how do set the medium on a sprite/batterer what ever.
Thanx, sorry for the bother. I just need to know this stuff so i can make a game and call it mine, lol.

it would be really helpful if someone would reply
also is there any way, while making a tileset or charset to know the size of the boxes in rpg maker xp.
so that i can make my buildings be exact. thanks.
Ps, i can make them exact but it takes ages to find the last pixel at the end of every box
darkhalo
Aug 27 2007, 04:29 AM
Im almost sure Ocean pinned up a Template section in resources. To make XP Tilesets you need a template
of 256 pix by almost anything eg 256 to 2000 pix. Using your cbs system look at one of the older battler
threads in resources (Minkoffs) to find battler templates in there. Any probs let me know.
TS templates are divided up for you in 32x32 squares.

1 and 3 are non RO sprites, and Ill be adding more of these soon. Also, I will be putting up some hero
sets soon, and all these will be for DerVVulfman's 11 frame battle stances.

If I were to add these to the resource section, what category would I need to add them to?
darkhalo

I'd put them up as " XP Animated Battlers" for Minkoff/DerVvulfman cbs.
Btw, Im going to add a full compliment of RTP soon, infact I will post them here in the next day
or so
