Nanashi
Hello, viewers! As said in the description, this is a collection of my drawings for series I am working on. Not all of the characters are here yet but, eventually, they will be added. I am currently working with Photoshop to polish what I have, so unfortunately, none of these include it as of yet. Comments are welcome, positive and critique! I am also open to do art requests, so if you feel I can help in some way, leave me a message in my mail and I'll get back to you as soon as I read it. Thank you and I hope you enjoy~

ohmy.gif !!!!!!!

They are...gorgeous...O_o and theres...soo many...

Erthane's hair design is so awesome! Half braids, the other half straight...beautiful. You definately have a very unique style. I love the definition and the detail you put into your designs. Not only do you have skills in human designs, but monster designs as well. Cyro and Tulamar looks friggin' sweet!

The Penumbra Queen Charon piece definately has a dark anime feel to it. I love it!

Would it be possible if you could design a couple of characters for my game? would there be a price range if so? I really love your style.

Edit:
Also, I will love to compose a few music pieces for your series.

Nice gallery. The clothing detailing is impressive, with few body proportions off in some pics, and some where the closeness to the cam is not well done. There are some flawless drawings too.

The only thing I don't like, that is part of your style and not something bad, are the thick necks.

In overall is pretty neat.

I agree with you on those points. These are from different periods of time, years in between particular ones. The most recent drawings are in Lost Children. And the necks...I never really noticed that until you pointed it out. I suppose it became part of my style but I wasn't aiming for it, either. I'm conscious about it in females so I probably have to practice on that.

Thanks for the comments! I appreciate it!

*Oh yeah! the scan on some of the pages was off on some. I will fix that after I go over the drawings again.

Thank you for the compliments! I think I should have posted the pics individually, though...Almost forgot again! Cyro is actually huma (human), lol! Its his headdress which probably puts it off.

I wouldn't mind at all helping you with characters. I'll PM you after this.

As for the music, I hadn't thought about that but, that would be great! We can talk about that also, as I have a few ideas;)

These are really good, Nanashi!
I love the details on the hair and clothes; you seem to be especially good with armor.
Some things I noticed, though, are that the face and bodies tend to be out of proportion at times.
If you look at one body piece at a time, they look fine; but they're not in scale with each other.
I believe you should draw guides on faces so you know where to put the eyes, and so that you can maintain the symmetry of peoples' faces.
You should also sketch out the pose before you draw it; so you don't feel obliged to down-size the body when you start running out of room on your paper.
There's a good tutorial on center of balance and posing here.
Other than that, I adore your attention to detail and the way you draw hair~
My favourite pieces are Eihmoto Ren, Rema~ LoveLess Ver., Rema~ Transient Armor, and Mila III (it's not a finished piece, but I love her facial expression and pose).
toria
This is fantastic! Is the series in question a game? Do tell more smile.gif

I noticed the same errors in the past also, and still make them every now and then. I do tend not to use symmetry, however:( I'll remember that! Thank you~ You're all a great help. Glad you liked, too.

I had started it on VX some years ago but my laptop crashed and the data with it...

I did have time to work on the story and improve my drawing skills so, not a great loss now.
I plan on starting on the game once I have all the story, bios, terminology typed and drawings finished.
That could take a up to four months if I do so everyday. I hope! I'm also writing stories on what the series'
don't completely go into.
Because of the time it will take, I'm open to art request, and writing requests also.

If you ever want to know more, just ask. I'll be happy to tell~

Spirit_Master_X
Thats not bad at all. I wanna say that the feet are a bit too small...but I can't because it somehow fits the size of the body quite well O.o
Nanashi
Haha, maybe a little bigger but it is proportional. He's just a roman with delicate sized feet~ Not everyone can be a Spartan~
Spirit_Master_X
I can be a spartan =/
Nanashi
Lol! Can you now? Alright, then I suppose this is Sparta! *big boot*

Wow I'm impressed by your art, you capture an incredible amount of detail. any flaws were pointed out before, mostly in a few body proportions, some art is like that on purpose though. But I REALLY like your style and your character desgin comes out beautifully in the clothing. i especially like Queen Charon and Ovara Marie.. and Tulamar is one of your best no doubt. Will you be coloring Remea and Viktoria??
Nanashi
These next three are commissions for BlackNekos and his lovely project~

Yes, I will~ I want to cry because I have not been able to get around to coloring anything as of yet. First, I have to finish sketches on commissions I still have to do, do some spriting for the same reason, and THEN, I can start coloring all of them. I have to move in that order or I'll leave someone or my own project behind.

I'll be really finicky with coloring because I don't want anything to be sloppy, added to the fact that I have to get better in general at it. Shading, highlighting, the nice stuff~
Nanashi
Face Set portraits for the characters Leon and Kiara. Varying emotions will follow~

Spirit_Master_X
Those are very awesome! I love the sprite! it is very well detailed. The wolf is gorgeous. I didn't know you were working on Alpha & Omega. Me and Fat Panda are doing the music. Your name is Katie Warman right?
Nanashi
Lol! No, no. Though I did check out BlackNekos page and saw her drawing she did for him. I joined his project las week because I found it interesting~ Thank you for the compliments, too! I didn't know you were working on the music, I am sure it will be greater with the atmosphere your compositions will bring! smile.gif

Nanashi you're really outdoing yourself. Everytime I visit this topic you never cease to amaze me. Those are really good. It'll be awesome to see you and Hirei producing art together. Both styles will be very eye candy! Keep it up! happy.gif
Nanashi
That's an amazing compliment considering how talented Hirei is. Thank you and keep producing beautiful music!

If I may ask, what is the design on the pillow that is sitting on the couch?
It's difficult for me to make it out, but it looks like a rose. Although, at the same time, it also has the appearance of an eye - which is cool, but wasn't sure which it was meant to be. =]

It is a rose, howbeit, quickly drawn in~ As you can tell, I'm not to good with environment but will be practicing it more in the future. Character design itself is great to me but I would like to have scenes in the future.
X-M-O
That would be awesome. ^^
Are you planning on shading/colouring as well?
Nanashi
Yes I am, but I am always afraid of messing it up, lol!

A new WIP, by the way~

Another of Rema...

Brilliant design on her tattoo!
(Love tattoo/body art, lol.)

I know you didn't do that much work on the scenery, but the rocks are very well done.

And of course, you did a very nice job on Rema; great anatomy work. happy.gif
Nanashi
Lol, why thank you~ I was being eyeful of the frame wink.gif

I'm not yet done with it, especially the scenery. I'm trying to be careful with it so that it is at least decent. God help me when I have to color it...I think I should find someone who is experience with Photoshop for that.
X-M-O
I don't know, I'd encourage you to try it.
Just make a duplicate image and colour it, if it doesn't look right then try again.
It's good practice too. =]
Nanashi
Yup, that's exactly what I planned on~ Thanks for the advice smile.gif
Nanashi

Brilliant!
And you were worried about messing it up by colouring it? wink.gif

Are you coloring with tablet or by mouse? ohmy.gif
