The eyes look interesting, as I've not seen multi-coloured eyes drawn on a character in a while. The facial structure and upper body are just right. Excellent work! ^^

Thank you~ I didn't mean to make the eyes multi-coloured, but when I was messing with the saturation/contrast it just looked cool I was trying to create a eye glare I saw on a video on YouTube. I figured out a bit of it, but how to make it look transparent I'm still working on.

Ah, you're trying to go with the "bubble" effect. Bubbles are transparent, and almost invisible, but give off a slight reflection of colours (like a rainbow in a way). Is that what you're referring to?
It looks rather close to that, though it is a little too bold if that is the look you're going for. I'd just edit the coloured part to be slightly faded out.
Of course, without working on it in Photoshop, I can't guarantee that will look correct. ><

You've got a lot of petals floating around everywhere except in front of the castle, so it looks a little bit uneven. Otherwise, it's really a nice depiction of the inside of someone's mind. =D

So it would look better with more floating in front of it? I thought it would look cluttered. Okay, lets see what it will look like when updated~

Not exactly Holiday art, but I didn't have time for such as I had to do "gift" art for others~ First, is a drawing I did for my GF for Christmas. She likes D'espairsRay, especially Karyu. I did a realistic drawing for him which I haven't done in years! Next was a drawing for a friend on DA, as her birthday was on Christmas Eve. It is a random piece, but interesting enough to suit her tastes, and she loved it~

D'espairsRay's Karyu is very cool, and the shading is done quite well; though I'd have to say that the top of the neck seems a bit wider than it should be, but only just barely.

You've done an amazing job at designing the mask in the second image, and the second image looks fantastic otherwise; it seems you've gone from "lots of breast" to "not much breast at all" though, but perhaps this is a specific trait of this character.
Either way, very nice work done here. =D

His neck does kind of spread out a little bit, but like you said, only so much to not be anything. I thought it would turn out as utter $#%& when I started it because I dread making portraits, haha! I surprised myself a bit thought I could practice more with shading and contrasts.

The next drawing has a bit of a secret regarding the "lady" seated before the masked creature. I was kind of inspired by some artwork on DA when I did the designs for the wood and mask~ I really wanted to make more of a background for this but there just wasn't enough space to make anything effective enough to stand out, but Its nice all the same.

The lighting is almost perfect! I absolutely love this new picture. ^^

You've drawn the frame quite nicely, and the effects are very cool.
The only thing I'm sort of wondering about, is the red on the wings. Is that meant to be a reflection of the red from her hair? Because it doesn't seem to match the way the rest of the feathers are coloured.

The red on the top of the wings is just one of the colours of an aurora borealis I threw in there because I wanted more than shades of blue and green in there. It doesn't look too out of place, does it?

No, not necessarily. It just doesn't flow the same way the other colours do. I'm not sure how to describe that to you. ><
At any rate, it doesn't look wrong or bad; just my perspective is slightly different, lol.

That's okay then, I get that it stands out so I was hoping at the top of bottoms of wings would be a good place. I hope to get better at using Photoshop in the upcoming months so things will look really nice~

It's an interesting idea, and done quite well.
I would have recommended the eyes be different colours from each other, and that there would be silver buttons and rings on the black side of the cloak and gold on the white side. But just a thought, nothing is wrong with the way you've drawn it. =]

Yeah, just see how it looks - if it looks good enough to you, then go for it. Of course, twinstargemini might prefer it the way you had it, but it is always cool to have variations of the same character.
One thing I like to do, when drawing, is put the character in different situations with different costumes; just as a way to broaden my perspective of the character. (Silly how that works when writing, lol.)

Yeah, I think I'm obsessed with wings in artwork. It symbolises being free, in my perspective, and so it's a personal favourite when placed on humans. :3

You're correct, I don't post my own artwork online. (I also don't have many digital versions of my artwork.)
I'm not a "great" artist, but that's not the reason. Primarily I do abstract art, but I've not done any recently and I have no reason to throw them online just to be stolen. (Just the way I feel about it; I get lots of critique from my students, if they are ever shown any of my artwork, so I'm not missing out by not posting things online. No one can steal my artwork if they cannot see it or know that it exists.)

Mila II looks amazing, but I'm thinking that her arm going under the pillow needs to be a little more obvious (because at first I thought that it was the same arm as the one placed over her head). :3

I can't find anything wrong with Sneering Dusk. He's looking just as dark as ever.

Rema (2nd outfit design) is coming along nicely, her chest seems a little small by comparison to her thighs, but she still looks good - and the outfit is superb! ^^

Patrick is coming along nicely, doesn't look completed, but what is done thus far looks really good. =D

Transient Spettro... wow... I'm loving him thus far! He's got a somewhat gnarled body, but it looks really good on him. Nice work. :3

Been out of it for a while due to being sick, but I hope to finish these and others up soon. I'll be on as soon as I can get over this testy bug.

Sorry, I've been busy and haven't commented much on your recent works. D=
They're really good - it seems you are moving in a new direction with your overall style (evident in a couple of images). I like!

These are really good! But I decided I'm not going to work on the transient because your version is completely awesome! I probably wouldve chosen a bad set of colors, and the colors here really fits him. good job!

Oh, that's fine~ I've been busy myself so haven't had a lot of time to thoroughly look around. That art-style on SAI is neat that I'm doing because of the tools being different from PhotoShop. A string of digital work until I pick up a mechanical pencil again! It's really helping with not trying to erase.

Yeah, digital artwork is a lot easier because the clean-up is easier (and materials cost money). XD

SAI versus Photoshop... One is for digital image editing, the other is for digital art. =D

So that is the difference~ Guess they go hand-in-hand then!

They most certainly can - and should in many cases. ^^
There are a lot of programs that are that way though, where Program A does Function A very well, but doesn't do Function B well at all, whilst Program B doesn't do Function A well at all, rather it does Function B very well.
SAI and Photoshop are like that.

Rema Merloci II


Most likely due to the B12 vitamins I took, I had insomnia till six o' clock in the morning. This came about near randomly with also wanting to make up for the Rema bust I did some time ago. Came together easier than most times and had a good idea where it was going for a change~ Strange, for being pepped and tired at the same time...I could have sworn the brain was supposed to work better in partial starvation mode?

I love that it is black and white. Her eyes and face are very focussed and seem tense, despite the rest of her appearance as being somewhat relaxed. I wonder if that was done on purpose, but that's what I get from it. ^^
