My name is Jericho Dirge. I am a Paranormal Investigator suffering from a terminal illness. My strength fades with each week, and I need answers. Before I die, my last task is this: to investigate the happenings in Draylon Province. I'm the perfect man for the job, because with my illness, I'm now expendable. If I can save a province full of people with lives, with families that are all in danger before I die.. then I can rest easy knowing I gave a troubled people hope and made a difference. When I became ill, my wife left me and took my one-year old son with her. She couldn't bear the thought of her and my son seeing me slowly die with each day.

Why am I writing this? I guess it's because I have nothing left, and if someone finds this journal, they will know I gave the people suffering in Draylon a chance that no one else has dared yet to give. I don't want to be remembered as a hero if I succeed, I don't want people to praise me, I just want people to remember that there's always someone out there who cares.

I depart for the Draylon Province Gates tomorrow. I've been brushing up on some old combat skills from back when I was in the Guard, knowing damn well I'll have to use them. Getting through the gates with my P.I. (Paranormal Investigator) badge should be simple. I'm leaving this journal in my house for someone to find someday. I don't plan on returning, and if someone finds this journal, please let my wife and son know that I still love them, and I'll always be with them.

Better Days Seen has been a thought swimming around in my head for quite some time now. I've taken the last month or so to put it all to paper, and now I'm beginning to build it. I thought it was a uniquely, cool idea, and if executed correctly, could turn out to be an exceptionally great game. I have much ambition to complete this, and can't wait to see what it becomes. I plan on having a lot of fun making this game, I'm going to give it my all. I'll be updating this thread as the game progresses itself. There will probably be new information in this thread within the next couple hours. Keep checking back, and enjoy.

It's an interesting and unique plot that has plenty of potential, if you were to draw out a vast scenario while keeping the main protagonist's problems in the limelight it could turn out a successful project. Just be careful to not lampshade the character's biography while writing the script, there have been many times when a great character design has fallen short because the developers want to force a story element.

Also I wish to thank you for coming up with a something different, these days I get disappointed with most game scripts, but your's seems interesting. If you need any help with writing or what not, send me a message.
