Haha, I appreciate your post, Ninjuit! Thanks for liking Washed Ashore, it seems to be one of my more favorited pieces biggrin.gif

To everyone who listens and has supported, I thank you all. I truly appreciate all the helpful criticisms youve given me, and I couldnt have gotten this far without you! I am actually in the progress of releasing an EP, so look out for it!

Once again, thanks!

Hello Panda!

I've only listened to Clash and Tread in the forest and I enjoyed both of them.

Tread in the forest - The name for this song fits very well. I imagine someone walking silently walking through the empty woods at night. To me it has an eerie feel to it. I really like this one.

Clash - I like how upbeat this song is, could fit very well for a battle theme or a boss battle or something smile.gif. As for using more bass or not I'm not sure. It definately sounds more retro without it. Not sure what you were going for ^^

What software are you using when you compose?

I haven't listened through all your songs yet. I'll look through the thread a bit later and write some feedback happy.gif

Fat Panda
Hey, st3rnb0rn!! First off thank you so much for listening to my tunes! I appreciate the feedback. As for software, I compose everything in Finale 2009 (you get used to it as a music major), edit the midi file in Cubase 5, and then mix and master it in GoldWave.

hey pretty cool tunes, I like the style, my favorites are Serus and Gaurdians Cliff for sure, and I liked Relicks Dance once it got goin, but the drums had alot of reverb it was kinda difficult to hear the melody.
-Garden Valley was a hit, I could of sworn it came straight out of Mario's Rpg which is why I liked it so much
-Wash Ashore was very relaxing and calm, you matched the environment very nicley
all in all most of these have pretty clean mixes!
Fat Panda
Hey thanks a ton for the feedback Daven! I greatly appreciate it, and im glad you enjoyed it!

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates, I am finally out of school for a bit. I recently however have had my first piece officially published! It should be available for purchase soon, when its up ill post the link.

Until then, enjoy the piano rendition of my marimba solo called "Odessa"!

Also, if anyone is interested, I am taking donations for a personal fund. Im not asking for hundreds of dollars. I am asking for those who have a few extra dollars around and would like to donate to my music fund out the kindness of their heart. I am trying to reach enough for materials to build a marimba. I currently work and receive royalties from my music, so I am not asking for handouts. However, those offering to help (even a dime) I will mention in my music when I perform it and write it. I cant offer much, but I am asking for those who would like to help. I appreciate it!

Hey man, you know that i think that anything you do is awesome. I really love the fact that you put a lot of atmosphere into a lot of your music. I would agree with a little more bass and percussion in Clash to really bring it together. Odessa is a little sporadic in the beginning but i think it picks up after the first 35 seconds or so.

Definitely some cool stuff man. Good luck and congrats again.
Fat Panda
Bacon! Thanks for your post. Glad to see you posting over here as well biggrin.gif Yeah, Ive heard that abot Clash alot, its one of my older pieces so its a little crappier.

I appreciate your post, as always!

I hardly have time any more to get in here and listen to music, but I'm never disappointed in what I get to listen to. ^^
So, I should be thanking you for not being horribly bad at playing the Marimba, lol. =D
Thanks! :3

You are really good fat panda!
The percussion, as always, are brilliant and you are doing a super swell job.
and you always have these signature melodies
its definitely a style thing you have going on because i can spot your music out

I guess my only complaint is sometimes you make the background/percussion too loud and it blocks the melody but maybe that is just me so i dont know x:

anyways, I just thought I would come here and say you are doing a great job o;
Fat Panda

Fat Panda, you have an array of wonderful and inspiring works, much talent is noticed through the cadenced structures of each compositions, and the newer composition, "White Lines", is yet another classic example of why you showcase good musical abilities. I voted on your song on the competition. Best of luck! happy.gif
Fat Panda
