I've been thinking about what kind of project I'll be making after I finish up my current game, Relic.
And then it came to me. How about a Western Shoot-em up adventure, where the main character is A Slime.
The game would be a Classic Underdog story, as he starts off as a young Generic Level 1 Slime, running away from RPG Heroes.
But after a strange turn of events, he accidentally catches a nearby towns most nefarious group of bandits. This gains him the respect of the town, and its people. So the town, being very desperate, decide to make this Slime, their sheriff, as their current sheriff has done nothing for them in years.
But, the Slime really knows nothing about being a Sheriff, but he's overwhelmed with joy, so he accepts. This will lead to an adventure of the Slime coming to terms with what he really is. Just a Slime. But, maybe that's not such a bad thing.
So, should I expand on this idea?

Whoa, that's pretty unique (at least for me). I agree with tfd, you should expand the idea.
oh, does the slime talk?

Yep! I havn't really thought it much out, but If I were to make this game, it wouldn't be for a while, as my current game Relic is taking up some time.
But if people like it this early on, how can I refuse

I also thought it'd be funny if the Slimes partner throughout the game would be none other than Ralph, and he talks in RPG talk, referring to his skills, and level ups XD

It's definently a good, novel idea. It of course doesn't have much potential to go beyond what it is, a novel game, but it would undoubtedly be an enjoyable and humorous experience for anyone playing it. I say put it up as your next filler idea to do between those big projects. It should do well.

I think the concept is funny / awesome. I dunno if you can actually make the gameplay fun enough to make this a fun game, but the storyline is sweet. Perhaps this is a game with a below average concentration of battles, and mini-games will make-up a larger portion of the gameplay experience. Perhaps most stages will basically involve getting from point A to point B while running from every battle in between. Perhaps instead of having just one run command, there would be a variety of different kinds of runs to choose from.
