Description: As the young Co-op employee is finishing work, some strange things begin to happen. Join Tommy as he is swept into an unknown world of monsters and magic, as he tries to escape from the evil clutches of Bert. Unlock the secrets of Tommy's ancestors on this epic adventure.

Characters:

Tommy Wright, a 17 year old boy, working at the Co-Op dulled his days, but all that was just about to change... Proficiant in White Magic, he ensure that his friends are safe and well. Sent on a journey to seek out Bert, what wonders will he encounter along the way?


Steve Swann, friend of Tommy, met each other while at school. His brash attitude and use of foul language makes him appear unfriendly, but deep down he has a heart of gold. Recently released from Bert's Torture Chamber, he is now working for him. Steve makes use of his "Quickshot" abilities to cut down enemies in a pinch.


Louise Rock, cheeky by nature and takes what she wants, when she wants! Also a friend of Tommy and Steve, she is a lightning quick thief and skillful with daggers. Always seeing the positive side to situations, even the grimest outlook can be all sunshine and daisies!


Danny Malpass, the owner of the Monster Colisseum and friend of Tommy, Louise and Steve. His special powers of "Black Magic" help terrorize his enemies on the battle field. Normally calm and compliant, he is able to curb hysteria in an event and cooly plan for the future.


Bert Griffiths, keeper of the Jerum, sent an envoy to eliminate Tommy as he awakened. His mind works in many strange ways, helping him come up with many devious plots to stop Tommy in his tracks. Charasmatic and witty, he is able to hire many beings to help with his bidding.


Imartal, a strange fairy-like being with the laugh of a little schoolgirl. Her ways of causing terror are not as direct as most villans, making her a very troublesome person to predict. She possesses a great power that she rarely uses, she doesn't believe in mindless killing, yet she doesn't let anyone stand in her way.

Once installed, go to your Program Files, under Duck Entertainment, create a shortcut of the game to your Desktop (or any other desired location).
NOTE: I have re-uploaded a new polished version of the game, dialogue has been tidied up, skills, items, weapons, armour updated. Check it out! It's all now in one file. It's encrypted however, if it is not working for whatever reason, I will put a link to an uncrypted version. Enjoy!

I'll look it over and play through it. Scenes look fairly decent.

I must comment that this was a learning curve for me, you may or may not notice how it progressively improves the further you get into it. I am aware that there are imperfections, the choices of music, the story, the items etc. Throughout creating this game, I did experiment with different styles even though I tried to keep it consistent. What I've taken from this is an idea of the clear goals I need to plan for and set out before developing one aspect then quickly changing to another. This project also helped me understand how to get around problems surrounding events, scripts, mapping, story and character development.

Considering future projects, expect them to be a lot more in depth and polished

Ah, thanks. I haven't deleted the game off my computer, and I'll take your word for it getting better as it goes on. I'll see what I can do. And thanks for not being offended by the review. It was primarily meant to entertain, but I was kinda worried about looking like a troll for it.

Again, I now know that Tommy =/= Billy. Lol. Too many "ee" names.

Hi I've just been playing your game and its not bad. The enemy database is nicely done and I like the mapping. The dialogue seems a little forced an unrealistic, but I can't really comment on the plot because I'm in the fishing town where the second save point is and now I don't know where to go. I'll have another go at it in a little while.

But so far, its pretty good. Also, not sure weather the FF7 music is a good thing or a bad thing

I'm going to play this game because from what I read and from the screenshots that you have there, I think that this is going to be a really good game. I'll play it and do a review too.

Patch 1.03 has been released, fixing a few minor errors and a bug with the character names.

Hopefully you will try out the game , it was a first attempt at anything so you can expect it to gradually get better in quality as you play through.

I assume you've just started the quest, in which case, you need to find a herb that will help cure the little boy (TIP: Rabbits like to eat it )

Hi,

I just finished playing this game and I thought to write my thoughts on it. I really liked playing it, the storyline was interesting and kept me motivated to see the end result.

Story: The plot started slow but quickly you get more details about what is happening. The game is very addicting and I found myself wanting to play to the end, no matter how stuck I am at some points.

Gaming: The monsters weren't that hard as long as one stayed stocked up with supplies. However, some of the bosses/arena monsters are hard and require some strategy to beat.

Others: Leveling up took some grinding but was doable, especially later on in the game. Same thing goes for money at first it’s hard to get but I found it easier to obtain later. Something I think the game maker should add is journal/hints so that players know what to do next-just to be helpful but the game is doable. Also, it took me 18 hours to finish the game and I had fun playing it.

Anyhow, the game was definitely worth playing and I would definitely recommend it for others as well.

I'm having fun playing this game. I just arrived at Jumba Bay and I do feel that Steve's abilities cost way too much MP for the amount of max MP he has at that current level. I'm going to keep on playing until I finish the game. I'll report back if I see any other things that might need work on.

I have been playing this game and have gotten to the battle with Imartal and Rex. You seriously need to put in a way to save before this battle so we don't have to keep running through Bert's long (too long) speech. I keep getting killed and am seriously annoyed about having to go through it over and over again. I otherwise enjoy the game but this is just too much.

Hello everyone!

I decided a few weeks ago to come back to this and polish this game off. New features include:

- New mining system
- Legendary Weapons
- New areas
- Database overhaul
- Redone dialogue
- And many other things!

Most of the features have been map improvements, changes in dialogue and extra things to do once you can free roam around the world. I hope you can find them all!

Been playing and enjoying the game....but now I have no place to go

Saved the little boy and made it to the next town..
Thought I would be getting on a ship and going to Jambalya but I keep walking around and
talking to NPCs but no one is offering me a ride....

Can I get a little help????

Forgot to mention there is a NPC on the left I can't reach to speak with and the it looks like there might be an entrance to the first building on the left but I can't get in to see what is there.

Okay, so it sounds like you need to go into the tower in Ferl and go to the top floor (Make sure you're both at least level 5 of it will say that you're not ready), To get into the tower, go to where the soldiers are stood in a line outside and walk into the side of the tower

Just a note, make sure to try the sides of buildings if there is no door visible.

Poor Tommy and Steve
Tommy is Lv11 a Priest and Normal
Steve is Lv10 a Gunner and also Normal.

Your right, Tommy says at top of stairs in barracks: "I have a bad feeling..." Like he has to get more powerful.

Also, I have banged my head on the sides of the building and can't get in

AND, the soldier at the check in desk tells me to sign in if I'm returning from a mission, then tells me I'm not a soldier.

Will wait for any words of wisdom

Odd, at those levels you should e able to pass, it only stops you at < level 5!
