I have a problem when trying to get my RMXP game to compress into a stand alone file. It tries to compress and after a bit it says "Compression Failed". This game's folder is about 400 MB, yeah I know. Its mostly because I use ucoder's "Animate this!" and there are several thousand images. Can I not compress the game file because its so large? Or will I just have to suck it up and use a .rar?

Yes, there's a 128 MB size limit. Use Zeriab's encrypter to encrypt the data and graphic files into the .rgssad archive, and after that, put the .rgssad and the audio files into a RAR archive.
