RPG RPG Revolution Forums > RRR Community > Announcements
Holder
Following on from the alterations to the Creative Commons we're now cleaning up our Game Submissions on the main page, with that the rules and guidelines for what's required for your game to be accepted is also changing.
Please take note as these effects take place from now, though the main page may take time to alter.

------------------------

Submit Game
Not all games are accepted here at RRR, so in order to find out whether or not your game qualifies then please read though the rules thouroughly.

Quality submissions only.
Your game must have a topic within the forums, either in the Long Demos (1.5 approx hours of game-play) or Complete Games section. Games within the Games Under Construction section will not be accepted. The topic and submission must both meet the requirements to be in that section.
All fields must also be filled out, screen shots included and also a download, if this isn't done then your submission will be deleted.

What must be filled in for the Description?
The description box must contain the following information; Story and or Introduction, Character Details, Features.
The following is optional; Progress estimate (If the submission is a Long Demo), Gameplay Time (Estimate), Known Errors.
Finally on the last line of the description field must be a URL Link to our forum of your games topic, if missed out then your submission will not be accepted.

Editing and Additional content.
Your project will have approximately two days after submission until it's either approved or deleted, this will give developers the time to create a forum topic if it's not already done, add download links, edit, and make the necessary alterations to their project.
To do this just visit the 'My Submissions' control panel, and select the project you wish to make changes to.

Other details and content can also be included after submitting your game, such things include; documents, music, files, videos.

Don't spam or flood your submission!
Once your game is submitted, then do `not` submit it again. Spamming the game submission form will only result in a swift banning of your RRR membership and IP address.

Since there is a lot of games already submitted to the main site we will be working through these deleting ones without download links and asking their creators to fill in any content which is missing, so if you do have a game which is on our main site please take the time to adapt it to these requirements.
I will be sending out PMs though it would save time if you can do this ASAP.

There's also a lot of games not hosted by us, instead using an outside fileshare causing old links to go down and also causing problems with the download counter. Would a guide help?

Update: The main pages' rules and guidelines have been altered to the above.

Why have games been approved that do not have threads on the forum?

Also, have many developers have been asked to fill in missing content / have many games without download links have been deleted?

There's been things which we've had to take into consideration, sometimes people do not wish to have their topics on the forum and find the C&C available on the main site commenting section adequate for their needs.

There's a total of 679 game current at the time of this post, with that our ability within the mechanics of the main page makes removal of one a length process. Yes there has been members asked to adapt their submission, some of which don't use the forum so there's limits on contact ability.

We're always trying to make headway with the main site, but the circumstances in the way it works makes things difficult and sometimes there has to be a compromise.

Yes it takes a while for people to get back to us as well- but Holder and I have been working on this since the inital topic was posted and hopefully (in time) should get them all tidied up!

We may at some stage post a download request for missing games- as members may have a copy stored on their PCs
