Okay
I've googled and googled but there are no fixes for this.

I've been using RPG maker XP for almost 10 months on my Vista based laptop, and it's worked fine, up until now.
Whenever I try to open RPGXP, it instantly comes up with a window saying
"RPG Maker XP has stopped working"
And this info:

No number of reinstalls are helping, and I've followed all of the guides to compatibility with Vista.
I'm sure someone must have the answer to this problem.
I'd prefer if people stuck to helpful posts
And... I'm not using VX no matter what anyone says.
Also, I cant afford windows 7 and this laptop is incompatible with Windows XP

FIX:
Go to Control panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Data Execution Prevention
Make sure it's on the top radio button
Click Apply
Restart
Love me forever.
