How do I go about adding in "face-sets" to my dialog boxes? And how do I incorporate face-sets to my menu?
punk_blood
im guessing you use XP?

but anyway you import your faceset under "Pictures", then when you have a textbox come up do a show picture event right afterwards change the X Y coordinates to what you want and presto! your done smile.gif

i think youll have to have somebody who scripts to do the other thing though cus i think XP just shows charsets unless you change it

Look up advanced Message scrips there are some that added a faceset to the message window use that as a refference and see how they have it display the face then add that into the window you want to add face sets too.

Scripts? Why? All you need is a common event to create the picture (Show Picture) and then one to erase it (Same but Erase).

Then you just "call" the common event before showing text. Easy. Done. No scripts.

how come everyone ignores me?

thats exactly what i said.. (minus the erase picture i forgot to mention that)
and you dont need to have a common event it just makes things esier

yes, but the person also asked for more then just a face when in the message window and this would set up for both. and also the script one is far easier.

copy script, paste script, small text command per each message. Just like how /N[1] is player one's name

Since we are on topic of XP Message system, is there a script or anything out there that will display the name of the user talking above the speech. For example it would say:

Spenser. < This sits above the text box.

Hi, I like waffles.

I don't want to put speech like this in my game:

Spenser: I like waffles.

I want to use that element in my latest project.

Thanks.
