(OoC: HEY GUYS, NICSP HERE! Your character's starting location is completely up to you, you can be at your faction's city or you can be in the Emlid battlefield (Or maybe sneaking amidst the crowds in an enemy city o.O) but eventually we'll need all of our characters to meet up during a battle at Emlid. Well, enough with this, let's get to posting!)

Norroar walked past the streets of Allok towards the city's baloon port, as if the sound of his armor clanking as he moved didn't bring up his presence, he was one of the few people on Allok who had light skin, unlike the big majority of darker skinned or at least tanned people that populated the streets. Norroar finally got to the port and saw all of the soldiers just laying around. Norroar walked over the wooden platform and stomped his foot on the ground, cracking the platform slightly. "Atten-shun!" The soldiers got up, some shot up immediately and some grunted a bit before slackily doing so. Norroar continued. "What's everyone doing out here? We have received orders to leave as soon as possible!"

One of the soldiers sighed and then started explaining. "Apologies Lt. Darkwood, our mechanic got ill and we have no replacements avaible." Norroar kept silent for a moment and then said. "What about non-military mechanics? Surely there must be some around." The soldier scratched the back of his head. "I don't know lieteunant. All i know is that we're not going anywhere until we get ourselves another mechanic, and most are all alredy at Emlid so..." Norroar grunted. "This is inadmissible! Start getting the boat ready, i'll go find ourselves a mechanic!" After saying that, Norroar walked down the platform and walked off amidst the crowds of people.

The soldier who was previously talking to Norroar simply sighed and returned to laying on top of a few boxes, another one of the soldiers asked him. "Uh...Aren't you going to do help us get stuff ready?" The soldier grunted and fixed his helmet over his head, protecting his face from the sun. "Eh...He's not gonna find anyone anyways."

ooc: can i ask you about technology for this game? I read sparrow say there where guns so im not sure of this games tenological extent

Zain was hiding behind a rock. The sun was beating down onto his flesh. a few Vultures circled lazily far off in the sky. And he was getting bored. Slowly he poked his head around the boulders side for the umpteenth time, there was still no sign of the Gaia patrol he had been informed of, if they did not appear soon he would send his men back to there camp. Settling bath against his rock Zain took a swig of alefrom the water skin at his pouch. Zain didn't trust his solders with ale, he had enough brain power to realise they'd get drunk. suddenly a hushed whisper from his lieutenant and zain's head was out from behind the boulder almost as fast as it was pulled back again by the lieutenant. "Sir they'll see you."
"Gaias have worse eye sight than a blind pig. ill be fine."
"sir you know that's not true and keep you're voice down."
After a hushed discussion zain gave up and waited for the Gaians to move into their ambush.
despite the enemy march taking a few minuets, to zain it felt like hours. The compulsory tension and anticipation that always came before a battle gripped him like a owl gasping a mouse from the ground.

at the same moment first Gaian soldier's foot brushed the ground in front of zain he yelled as loud as his lungs would allow, and created a gravitational sphere around him self and crushed the soldier's head...

[OoC The light people city is incredibly advanced and has simple flintlock pistols (1800s stuff really) while the fire place has more steam based technology (I believe) It's all in the sign up in the OP]

Lawrence hovered backwards through the air, gravity taking no attempt to yank him back down. His brown hair fluttered as if in water; his clothes did the same. His eyes were open, fixated on the clock further from his feet. The hands spun around rapidly. So far nearly ten seconds had passed in what felt like the tiniest moment. His hand flinched suddenly and he collapsed into the thick bed beneath him.
He gasped at the air and let his head roll over the pillow and to the window. He had looked before at a woman in a red coat on the right side of the square, but now she strode across the left side; her pace had not changed.
He smiled to himself with approval then grimaced with disappointment. He's sped up time more than before, but he hadn't quite reached his target.
He would need to improve his abilities to win the contest tonight.
He lent up on the bed, stood, and then jumped up into the air. Slowly but surely he began to hover again and his eyes crept back to the clock by the door.
Nearly ten seconds had gone by, but it only felt like the smallest moment...

[OoC lesson in time manipulation. Slow time = move faster. Speed time = move slower. If you always slow time, you end up older than you should be, so people practice by speeding up time wink.gif clever, eh?]

ooc: im not good with time lol i have to keep asking people what day it is. Thanks for clearing up that, i got really confused when you said "sped up time".

The patrol was larger than Zain had anticipated, as usual, His force had had the element of surprise but it hadn't been long before that advantage was gone. The Gains spears although flimsy had a longer reach than the nocturun's scythes. The enemy was surrounded but the spears kept finding their marks. Grabbing one of his dead mens black swords Zain threw it into the heart of his enemies. Scattering them, Zains men closed in slashing at the now dispersed opponents, Zain's mace clobbered a head and moved on to smash a duo of enemies into a rock. the fight was biased the Nocturu forces pushed the remaining Gains into a small bundle of forces that now resembled a porcupine, with their spears all pointing outwards.
"any last words?" zain was quite proud of his cliché insult "no?" one eyebrow crept up his forehead "then kill them" Zain's arm lifted and the nocturu closed in Zain walked away. And didn't glance back.

The soft light of dawn crept through the thin crack between the crimson colored curtons hanging in Joshua's window. Beside the window, there lay a bed and on that bed Joshua slept peacefully. Despite all that had happened, what with the council down right refusing his citizenship and imprisoning him in a high security jail cell. However, after some pleading from Lady Irina, he was released and forced to swear his loyalty to her once again only this time, it was official according to the council. Even after all that, the drama hadn't stopped. Word got out that someone that was not of Lambian blood was Irina Cellyn's own personal guard and that didn't sit very well with some people. For the last month Joshua has been a target for assination and on top of that he had his duties as Irina's personal guard to take care of as well. He groaned and rolled over in his soft bed then opened his eyes directly in the light of the sun. It didn't bother him though due to the fact that his steely blue eyes were now sightless. Joshua sat up in bed and wiped his hand accross his pale face. He sighed then grunted as he hoisted himself out of bed and dressed himself after washing his face and hair. After putting the white blindfold over his eyes and tieing it behind his head he walked over to a dresser, on top of the dark ebony wood were 2 pairs of re-enforced and decorated shackles with chains attatched to them. Joshua picked up a shackle then closed it over his wrist with a soft click. He equipped the remaining three to his other wrist as well as his ankles then wrapped the chains around his forearms and calves. Now, with all that finished, Joshua was ready to return to Irina's side.

The sound of Joshua's boots echoed down the marble hall of the residentiary wing of the council building. It was still very early in the morning and he didn't expect most of the halls workers to even be up yet, let a lone some council members. Joshua yawned and turned left down the hall, walking at a child's pace. People always wondered why he never smacked into things when he can't see, but were always too afraid to ask him. Sure, he looked scary with all the chains and a blank expression and sure, he only really talked to Lady Irina but he never hurt anyone nor was he mean to the workers like most of the guards posted around the place. Joshua stopped a few feet away from a large, rowen door. He raised his hand and knocked on the door twice. "Lady Irina? Are you awake?" He asked quietly, but loud enough that his voice could be heard inside the room.

Slowly but with low morals, the ambushing nocturu force marched back to their camp. morre than half in number from when they had set out, once they blamed their captin, Zain. However the huge old form of that said captin was oblivious to the stares of discontemt that were shot at him, all he was thinking about was how long it would be before other islands got armys as large as his onto Emild. Was it worth calling in renforcements zain thaught he had never thaught about so much in his life. But he hadn't been taught about tactics or even how to read and write. The only thing his old master had tried to do was make him an invicible warrior.

-------------------------------------------------------
"zain!" the crackled harsh voice of an old man rang throughout his house "Get down here this instent!"
small childs feet pattered down a flight of stairs. Dawn was yet to rise and the room was black as night.
"you called me sir?"
The vetern leaned closer, in the two years he had been ith zain he had nnot yet reveled his name. "Your not dressed yet? its three oclock in the morn! You've had optimul time to get dressed! What have you done this morning? Don't cower boy and tell me!"
"I have only just woken sir."
"And why would that be? Was the work last night to tiring for you? hummmm? You'll never join the army like that!' The old man reached for a belt on the wall. "This is what happens when you dissplease your elders!"

Zain shuddered and kept up his pace back to camp

After a bit of questioning, Norroar heard of a mechanic from the Allok's poorer sides that went by the name of "7". Even if that person had never received proper military training before Norrar still needed a mechanic and time was too short to be worrying about that. Norroar arrived at a dark alleyway that had been pointed to him as the location where the mechanic was living. Norroar looked around, several shady characters walked around the alleyway, giving quiet glances over to the soldier before them, but Norroar paid them no attention. He called out to the alleyway, his voice echoed through it. "I'm looking for a mechanic know as 7!" The people nearby looked at each other, muttering quietly. One person decided to approach Norroar, a man completely covered in a brown tattered cloak.

Norroar tilted his head to the side. "Are you him?" The man looked at his own finger nails, thinking. "No...But i may know where he is, for a price." Within a moment's notice, the man had the point of a sword pointed at his face, his cloak fell back, showing the man's dark skin and widened eyes, staring at the blade in front of him. Norroar started moving the sword forward slowly, each time closer to the man's face. "I don't have time for this, give me an adress, now." The man gulped thin air and then pointed behind him, towards a small building not far from there. Norroar put his sword back in it's sheath and continued to move towards the pointed location.

As usual, Norroar's armor made loud clanks as he moved through the streets, he stopped in front of the door and knocked strongly on it three times. "I'm searching for the mechanic named Seven, this is Lieutenant Norroar Darkwood, may i come in?" Although his face was still expresionless, Norroar's voice gave out a slight hint of impatience.

OoC: Considering the technology level and that this is a city based of air can I put hovercrafts of some sort?

"Grandpa I'm home" Athern said" Checking for his grandfather Athern looks into his room that is covered in blood with his grandfather's sword and fan. Athern stood there speechless, not only he was confused but saddened. Athern walks closer in the room in for closer detail he sees his last portrait of Athern and his grandfather. The picture depicted Athern scowling with his grandfather next to him untouched by the crimson blood. Why? Why him he was a kind old man why? Athern began to cry thinking of all of his memories of him. He taught me to fight for justice and what I believe in. Athern noticed a note drenched in blood that read Athern if you are reading this I give you my gem, fan, and sword and kill.. the letter ended not revealing the murderer. Athern took his grandfather's sword and fan cleaned them from the crimson blood when he noticed a light blue gem in the sword he realized this must be this the gem. "I'm going to find out who did this and I will murder them with my grandfather's weapons and murder anyone who is in my way"

Lambence

The door slowly opened, showing the inside of Irina's room, it was completely white with the exception of a few details in gold on the tables, chairs or on her bed. Irina was sitting on a chair on the opposite side of the door, her legs crossed and her long white flowing dress covering her whole body, a golden tiara on her hair, glinted slightly while reflecting the light from a nearby window. She had a small device on her hand with a single button in it. Her expressionless face quickly changed in a slight innocent smile. "Good morning, Joshua. Come in." She said calmly.

She waved over to him with the controller in hand as he approached. "They just installed this thing in my room yesterday night, all i have to do is press a button and the door opens!" She pressed the button, closing the door. "Pretty useful, don't you think?" She started pressing the button several times over. "Open. Close. Open. Close. Open. Close. Open. Close. Open. Close. Open. Close." She spent a few seconds opening and closing the door, until she finally decided to simply keep it open and then shrugged. "At any rate..." She set the control on the table. "I'm sure you're aware of the major disapproval of your presence as my personal guard..."

She got up and slowly made her way over to the window, looking out through it the whole city could be seen. "While i have nothing against it, personally, you must understand that the final decision rests to the council, not me." She said, while pacing around. "Lambence's forces seem to have found the place where Emlid's crystal is hidden." She slowly turned around to face Joshua, although she knew he couldn't see her, both her voice and face had changed showing her seriousness. "Sadly, all of the other factions also did. We're sending as many forces as possible to try and seize control of the area before any of the kingdoms is able to reach the crystal." She stopped in her tracks. "However, we have come to the conclusion that sending a small unit to try and take control of the crystal while the battle is happening would be the most appropriate idea."

She returned to her seat. "As you may have noticed, it's pretty much a suicide mission. Hence why the council nominated you. You will be sent alongside a few other soldiers to try and seize the crystal before the other factions realize the plan." She took a sip of the tea she had on the table. "Now, here's something wich the council didn't want me to tell you. The other soldiers will receive orders to kill you as soon as the crystal is seized. You will be registered as 'killed in action' and erased from all and any records." She took another sip of her tea. "You should be wondering why i'm telling you this..." She put her tea aside. "I do not approve of such conspiracies, even if you were once on the enemy's side you're still a person, not just an object to be used and thrown away like that."

She kept silent for a moment and then added. "What you'll do is up to you, i just thought that you should know about it." She sighed and then concluded. "At any rate. Everything is alredy settled, you're to leave on the boat 'Paladin' tommorow, where then you will be introduced to the your team and will receive further specifications on your mission. But for today, you keep to your normal duties." She paused for a moment before pressing the device again and opening the door, making her way outside. "I will go out for a walk, come with me, after all, it is your job, is it not?" She said in a slightly playful voice, almost as if she had completely forgotten everything else she had just said.

Nocturu

By the time Zain made it back to his camp, he received a letter directly from Rascal Grim, specifying the details of a new mission his group was going to be sent in. A huge war was going to happen at the center of the island, near the abandoned Emlid castle. Zain's group would have to sneak in during the battle and retrieve a non-specified jewel that was probably hidden somewhere around that area.

Zephyr

Just then, a small letter was delivered at Athern's grandfather home, similar almost in every word to the letter Zain received from Rascal Grim. (Read Nocturu.)

OOC: Sorry for the hold up Niscp. I was gone for a week.

IC:
Seven awoke at the sound of knocking at his door. His head throbbed. Perhaps he had one too many drinks last night? He looked at his calendar to looking at today's date. Boldly circled was the extended deadline for one of his commissioned projects.
"Aw ****!" he cursed. Like always, the machine was less than complete. If the boss didn't recieve his product, Seven would have to pay with his life.
His thoughts traveled back to the knock on the door. "Ah crap, they're already here!" He scrambled around the room, gathering some items he was rather fond of. No need to grab tools however, he always kept them on him. He was right about to leave through back door before realizing he forgot the most important thing. Backing up, to a nearby machine, he found what he was looking for. The Red gem that had been the frontier for most of his research.
"There you are," he said, gently removing the gem from the machine and tucking it into a secret compartment in his suit as he rushed out the exit, with good timing too. He had just heard the company bust down his front door.

---

Norroar was growing restless at the lack of a response. The soldier to his right guestured towards the door. Norroar nodded as the soldier kicked it down. A quick sweep of the room revealed no one, however, the back door was wide open.
The other soldier staying watch outside quickly found the reason why, as he spotted a short goggle-wearing man escape from behind the hut.
"Hey you! Stop right there!" he ordered.
The short one jumped before turning around, and finally broke into a sprint.

---

"Oh what now?! The Allok military is after me now?!" Seven exclaimed as he ran as fast as he could away from the soldier. Luckily the soldier's armor was slowing him down, and Seven was increasing the distance between them.
That changed however as the soldier called out to civilians to stop Seven. On cue, a few people who had been loafing around seconds earlier had made a blockade in front of him.
"Out of the way!" shouted Seven as he reached into his coat and pulling out what looked to be an explosive. The civilians cowered back, expecting a blast. Rather than release a smokescrean like it was intended, a small stream of smoke seeped out. "A dud!" shrieked Seven in shock. He didn't have time to remain flabergasted however, as the soldier and civilians began closing in.

"Oh God! What the heck is that!" he shrieked pointing into the sky. The civilians, fooled by his performance looked up to find absolutely nothing. When they looked back, Seven was climbing up the walls of hut. He reached the roof and began to run again, dodging obstacles, and jumping from rooftop to rooftop. Soldiers continued to follow from the streets below, the distraction from earlier giving them time to regroup.
"Run run as fast as you can! You can't catch me I'm the-" laughed Seven before he fell through a roof, interupting his sentence.

Seven groaned, sitting up. "Damn faulty roofs." He could already see the soldiers closing in on him. "Well, it was a great run while it lasted."
To his suprise however, the soldiers froze, turned around, and ran the opposite direction. Seven raised an eyebrow, unsure of what was going on. A quick look around revealed the answer. Seven had fallen into a fireworks shop. His fall must have flipped the switch on one of his tools since the fuse for multiple pyrotechnic's had been lit.
"Oh ****!" exclaimed Seven as he too tried to run away. The spark reached the end of the fuse however, and the a spray of colorful sparks filled the room for an instant before the whole hut errupted into flames. A screech of terror pierced the streets.

Seven walked out of the smoke, his heat-proof suit had protected him, but he looked rather charred. "Thirty years the east bank, thirty years the west bank," he coughed before falling face first onto the ground, the only movement being the occasional twitch.

(OOC: No prob, i'm just a bit anxious to get to the interesting part of the RP >=3)

Norroar walked in closer to the man, arms behind his back. He blinked a few times, still in a bit of a disbelief at all that had just happened. He poked Seven with the tip of his boot before asking. "Hey, you all right?" He looked down, waiting for a response, but decided to simply just check the man's pulse. "He's alive...You." He said, calling out one of the soldiers. "Brings this guy to the baloon, we'll have a doctor treat him there. Also tell everyone to prepare for departure."

---------------------------------

It had only been a few minutes and the soldiers had alredy dragged Seven to the said baloon/airship and set him on a bed, a young man using clean yellow clothes was sitting next to Seven. Norroar walked into the room, still in his armor. "So, how's he? I take it he wasn't seriously hurt?" The man in yellow robes, apparently a doctor, responded. "Nay, his suit was heat-proof, apparently, if anything he's got a few scraps from the fall off the roof." Norroar nodded in understanding. "I see...Good then, you can go if you wish, i will remain here and tell why he was brought over when he wakes up." The doctor nodded. "Yes sir." As the doctor walked out, Norroar took his place on the chair. While he waited for Seven to wake up, he took out his sword from it's sheath and started looking at his own reflection in it. He just then noticed that some of the ashes from the fireworks explosion earlier had fallen on his hair, Norroar started dusting them off.

((Woo! xD))

Joshua had kept silent for the whole time Irina had spoke. He let out a disappointed sigh when he heard that the soldiers he was supposed to fight along side would be ordered ot kill him. He had never really expected the council to trust him, however planning to kill him was a little...overboard in his mind, however he really didn't care much for the council anyways. His loyalty lied with Irina, not them.

A small smile curved his lips and his normally impassive face brightened when she had invited him to take a walk with her. "Yes, Lady Irina." Joshua replied immediately and followed her out the door. The morning air was brisk, but where the sun shone it was already quite warm. He took a deep breath of the fresh air and returned to his place beside Irina, instead of behind her like most servants.

Just as Norroar began dusting Seven, the burnt-crisp of a man shot up. A few coughs escaped him, the force causing more ash to fly off. Realizing the situation, Seven scrambled away, making it to the edge of the balloon. He looked down in disapointment. The airship was at an altitude to which he knew he would not survive.
With escape inevitable, he turned to his traveling campanion.
"Well sir, what's my sentence?"

Norroar blinked, unsure of what the man was talking about. "Sentence...?" Norroar dropped his head to the side. He kept silent for a moment and then it occured him what 'Seven' was probably thinking. "Oh no no, you misunderstood me." Norroar got up and put his sword back in it's sheath. "There were some issues and we were out of mechanics to keep this ship in shape while we're heading over to Emlid. I was pointed towards you as an alternative mechanic and...Well...I was going to ask properly but after the little show you put up back at Allok i really didn't have much choice but to bring you in anyways." Norroar scratched the back of his own head, closing his eyes and thinking of what to say next. "I hope i didn't interrupt any of your activies, but this is a mission of utmost importance. I sent word to the headquarters before we left, you'll be paid two thousand zenyes (Had to think of a currency, lol) upon our return, and we've also paid for all the damage you caused back with the fireworks."

Norroar, having finished his explanation, decided it'd be a good idea to introduce himself. Norroar let out a short 'ahem'. "My name is Norroar Darkwood, Lieutenant of the Allok's army third division, and i will be leading this mission, if you have any questions regarding it then please feel free to ask." Norroar kept silent for a moment while looking at 'Seven', who was still all covered in ash. "And...We have a steam shower on the lower level of the cargo hold. So your sentence is...Go take a shower."

Lambence

Irina nodded in agreement and walked over towards the exit of the council building, she grabbed a long white cloak on her way out and had ordered her servants to stop following her for the time being. She covered her head with her cloak and turned to Joshua. "If you don't mind, i'd like to drop by a nobleman's house while we're out. He has been offered a post in our military for some time now but he's always refused, he'd be a valuable asset and as such, i've decided to go and see if i can change his mind, personally." She covered her whole body with the cloak, probably to avoid unwanted attention on the way to Lawrence's home. "He's also likely to be sent alongside you on your mission if he gets recruited, by the way." Irina then walked out through the door, outside, the city of Lambence shined brightly as each of the clear-white buildings reflected the sunlight towards all directions, several trains could be seen travelling from one side to another of the city, some went by ground while others were carried around above through suspended tracks. Irina walked over to the closest train station and waited for her train to arrive. "So...Joshua, do you alredy have any idea of what you're going to do?"
Ryuga
Seven couldn't possibly believe his luck. Allok had not caught on to his activities, and instead was bailing him out from the world of trouble he had got himself into with the underground.
"Oh, of course," he began. "I'd be glad to fill in for your mechanic. And yes, I'll just go on and accept your offer of a steam shower." Seven gave himself a quick dust before heading off in the directions given.
---
Seven was relieved to get himself clean. He usually neglected showers, instead spending time on research, drinking, or smoking. His suit did a good enough job of keeping smells in. But now that he was clean, he felt refreshed and ready to take on the world.
He looked down from the deck again watching as the landscape slowly changed. He was off to war. It wasn't too bad anyway. If he was lucky, he could find some more firarms to add to his collection.

Norroar approached Seven. "Say...We'll be going straight into a battlefield so...Do you have any weapons, anything for self-defense? I'd hate to have the death of a civilian on my hands." Norroar took out a small knife from his coat and handed it over to Seven. "Here, it's not much but it's better than nothing."

The train arrived, Irina entered and the train made it's way through the city. She and Joshua soon arrived at Lawrence's home, she pressed the doorbell and waited for someone to show up. She looked around, there weren't many people around so she alredy judged it safe to take her hood off, and so she did.
Dirus
((Sorry about the delay, Nicsp =/ ))

Joshua turned his head in Irina's direction as they reached Lawrence's home. "What am I going to do? What do you mean?" He asked, shoving his hands underneath his cloak. Joshua had already gotten weird looks from the people on the train due to his...unique style of clothing. The chains around his arms rattled softly as he moved his hands in order to hide them.
Sparrowsmith
A tired and terribly dressed Lawrence opened the door. His clothes hung to him loosely and sported several holes where bullets had passed through them. He eyed over the pair standing at the front of his home.
"The parents are not here." He said as if reading it from a revised note in his mind, "If you would like to contact them, please do so at a time appropriate for them and do not just drop on by. If you did call ahead, then they're just being bastards and ignoring you. Have a nice day."
He half-way closed the door and then began opening it again, "Sorry, I forgot to ask." he continued sarcastically, taking out an invisible pen and paper, "Can I take a note?" he smiled mock-courteously.

Irina turned to Joshua. "About the mission tommorow, you don't just intend to let it go like that, do you?" She said, rising an eyebrow. Just then Lawrence showed up, before she could say anything she was thrown off balance by Lawrence's words and the fact that he looked like he just came out of a crossfire. Irina let out a short 'ahem' before she started speaking in a cheerful and happy tone. "Good morning. I take it you are Lawrence, yes? We were actually hoping to talk to you, not your parents."

She bowed slightly, as a greeting and started introducing herself. "I am Irina Cellyn, i come here on behalf of Lambence's military." She then signalled over to Joshua. "This is Joshua Grayheart, my personal guard." She kept silent for a moment and then added. "May we have a moment of your attention please? Also, could we come in? This is not a discussion fit for a public location."
Sparrowsmith
At first Lawrence was interested, really interested, and then the word 'military' smacked him in the face. This put a bit of a gloom on the day. They were awful persistent, and he was just about running out of chances to join considering he actually did want to... eventually. He was ready to stand in the doorway, but the urgency of the conversation and the coldness of the air coerced him to invite them into the lounge.
Well, one of the lounges.
He walked around the comfortable red room lighting candles and ignoring any alternative method of lighting. Finally he sat in his father's 'master chair' and grabbed a pipe in a childish manner.
"So" he said puffing on its empty contents, "What brings you to my humble abode?" He asked as highly as he could.
Ryuga
"I can take care of myself," replied Seven as he revealed his assortment of hand guns. "I'm a collector you see. Also proficient in using all of these. But I will take that knife if you're offering, thank you. Never know when this stuff can be useful."

"Good to know." Said Norroar with a nod. He looked out into the sea, took a deep breath and then turned back to Seven. "We'll be arriving this night and the mission will be tommorow morning, after that, we'll take you back home. If all goes as expected, you'll be back on Allok by the day after tommorow's morning and we'll mail your payiment for your help." Norroar scratched the back of his head. And if things don't go as planned everyone on this boat is going to die. He shrugged off the negative thought and continued talking to Seven. "So...I hope we bringing you aboard suddenly like this wasn't too much of a problem?"

As Irina entered she set her cloak aside by the door. She took a seat opposite to Lawrence's and started. "Well...Recently...Our intelligence seems to have fond Emlid's crystal. I expect you to know what i'm talking about? At any rate. The Council wants to send a small group to try and recover that crystal. Of course...They want to send the best they have. Your..."Rival"...Nicknamed "Tick", was alredy invited as well." Irina ran her hand through the table. "This would be a good opportunity to beat him, don't you think?"
Dirus
Joshua had followed Irina inside, taking his place beside her as she sat down. His face remained impassive as Irina explained what she wanted from Lawrence. Although his outwardly expression showed nothing, Joshua's mind was far from silent. He wasn't really looking forward to fighting time users after a mission of fighting other elemental users.

[OoC That's absolutely fine.]

Lawrence nearly lurched from the chair, "Tick?" he shouted, then tried to act calmer. He sank back into the chair and found idle places to put his hands. He played his hands through his hair and addressed Irina, "What is it exactly that you want me to do?"
A chance to finally best Tick, it's too good to be true.

"Well, you will all be part of a small group. Your mission will be to sneak in the battle, find and then recover the crystal. The area where we detected the strong flow of elemental energy has a maze of caves below it, the jewel is likely in one of that caves. Your group will consist of you, Tick and Joshua." She tilted her head slightly over to Joshua when she mentioned his name. "You'll have to find one of these caves, find the crystal and bring it back to our base as quickly as possible. Keeping in mind you're likely to have to fight your way to the cave and you'll also probably find enemy teams inside the caves who'll have the same objective as you."

Irina joined her hands and rested her chin on them. "Needles to say that this mission will decide the outcome of this war. Whoever finds that crystal first, wins. If you suceed, you'll all be remembered as heroes who have won this war for Lambence. If you fail, the whole city of Lambence will be doomed and chances are we'll all be killed." She smiled innocently. "No pressure." Her smiled turned into a slight frown as she continued. "There's also some...Other details wich i'm not in liberty to discuss. It's nothing major, just a small issue wich you might also have to deal with." She stood up from the chair. "Well, if you don't have any further questions, i should probably be going. "I know that this will seem a bit rushed but you'll only have until this night to decide if you're going to accept this mission or not. Since the transport will be leaving tommorow morning."

When Irina stood up Joshua had gone to where she had left her cloak and picked it up then he returned to Irina's side, holding up the cloak to make it easier for her to put it on. Of course, he wasn't her personal servant but that fact didn't stop him from being courtious to the woman that basically saved his life and gave him a second chance.

"Oh, no problem at all," replied Seven nearly overjoyed. He realized it was the wrong reaction and quickly corrected himself. "I mean, business has been slow, so I could absolutely use this work."
He took one more look overboard before turning around. "Well I'm going to get some shut eye before I we get there. I assume you have some quarters I can use?"
As Seven was lead away, he thought about what the site would look like when he would awake.
Sparrowsmith
Lawrence tried to feign apathy, "Yeah... We'll see if I show."
He led them out of the house and opened the doors as he went, far more friendly than before, As they neared the front door he stopped them, "Where can I expect to find the transport?"

Norroar chuckled. "Certainly. This way." Norroar led him to the lower deck of the airship, taking him to the living quarters. Several beds were lined up on both sides of the wall, below each bed was a small chest for personal belogings and the like. "It's not exactly an hotel, but i hope you can make yourself comfortable. If...By the way...I don't mean to be annoying, but we'll likely have to wake you up if there are any technical issues wich might need fixing." Norroar gave Seven a slight nod. "Well then, i shall go and head for my own quarters, if you excuse me."

Norroar walked out and not very far arrived at his own room, it wasn't very different from the rest of the crew's with the exception it was slightly larger and better decorated. Norroar opened up his coat, showing a necklace with his elemental jewel attached to it. He grabbed the jewel with both of his hands and kept silent for a moment, as if he was praying.

"Thank you Joshua..." Said Irina with a slight smile and while putting on her cloak. As they were about to walk out she heard Lawrence's question. "Ah...So you are interested...It's an experimental vehicle, i'm afraid the information is classified." She giggled. "Just head to the Council Tower, they'll get everything settled over there." She pulled her hood over her head. "Me and Joshua are going back there now, you can come with us, if you have alredy decided..."
Dirus
Joshua nodded and smiled back in return then flipped his hood up over his head, covering his jet-black hair. He took a few steps forward, off of Lawrence's front steps and looked around to make sure it was safe. Lambence wasn't known for it's criminal activity, however it still existed.

Lawrence considered the proposition, then shook his head.
"Doubtlessly you already know of certain sports I'm involved in, it would be shameful if I didn't dance against the guns one more time before leaving. I owe that much to my rivals, you could say they are my soldiers. I should also temporarily resign my title, reckon Tick will be doing the same."

Irina nodded towards Lawrence and made her way out. She heard low squishy sounds as she walked out but decided to ignore them. As she and Joshua walked along the streets, she turned to him once again. "Well then, i think we should head back to the Council building alredy, shouldn't we? That is, unless you wish to go somewhere." She said with a slight smile. "This will probably be the last time you'll be in this city and also probably the last time we'll see each other..." She chuckled. "So, is there anything you'd like to do?"

Seven awoke ubruptly as the ship shook. Gathering his things, he rushed outside to see what had happened. By now, night had fallen, and the ship was now docked. Apparently, they had a rough landing. Crew-members and soldiers alike were running about, working like clockwork. Not to be left out, Seven seeked out Norroar. It looked like he would have to get to work earlier than planned.

((Oh dear..sugestiveness for the win.))

"For starters I don't believe I've answered your question yet." He turned his head towards Irina. "I don't intend to kill them when the time comes, however I do not intend to stand there and just let them kill me either." He stopped for a moment before continuing, "I will not die and I will see you again. I promise you this Lady Irina." He smiled slightly then took a few steps forward, "Follow me, I have somewhere I want to show you that I doubt most in Lambence know about."

Lawrence was out of his home not too long later. The sound of gunshots rang into the night, and he followed their music.
Eventually he found his pack. Tick and several others were scampering down an alleyway, moving methodically around the fiery metal as it approached them.
They swooped around and nodded at Tock, who smiled and understood the meaning.
He opened his arms as another round was fired towards them, he had been passed the torch of lead role. Closing his eyes momentarily, the world slowed around him.

He twisted back through the air like a puppet with the strings cut, collapsing and rising simultaneously; rippling with the casual pattern that he knew too well. His eyes refused to close as he focused on the possible death his sport gave him.
He finished with by pushing himself off of the ground with his hands. Hastening time, he gradually floated back down to the surface.

Irina

Irina chuckled at his proposal. "My my, someone's wanting secrecy." She turned to him and nodded. "Fair enough, but let's try to be swift, night has alredy come and i'm not sure the rest of council would like the idea of me walking around at late hours." She tilted her head to the side and approached Joshua. "Well, lead the way."

Norroar

Norroar was alredy pacing back and forth in the ship, ordering some of the soldiers around to start getting stuff organized, several soldiers were working on getting the baloon that carried the ship down. Then he spotted Seven. "Seven, you're awake, good. I was about to call you." Norroar started walking back inside the ship, signalling Seven to follow. "This ship is a prototype, courtesy of some of the best minds on Allok wich are under control of King Atlus, it works both on air and on ground, sadly, our back wheels were slightly damaged on the landing, we can still move but risk leaving half of the ship behind as scraps. Think you can fix the wheels?"

Just as they got to the lower level of the ship, some of the soldiers down there alredy started talking to Norroar. "Lt. Darkwood, the landing was a bit too rough and we're below the necessary height for putting the wheels down." Norroar grunted, kept silent for a moment but then started going back upstairs again. As he went back up he said to Seven. "Get those wheels fixed, i'll get us on the right height." As Norroar got back up on the deck, the soldiers were all just finished de-assembling the baloon, Norroar yelled out. "Get the baloon back up!" Between angry shouts and grumbles the soldiers started assembling back the baloon.
Ryuga
"With pleasure," smirked Seven as he quickly made his way down. He reached the wheels with little difficulty. A few personal were already working on the wheels when he arrived, but at a slow pace. He approached, assistants attempted to hand him tools, he shrugged them off. He quickly inspected the visible damage. Axel's were broken, wheels were torn off. It was a mess. Seven smiled as he pushed his goggles over his eyes, then reached into his suit, grabbing whatever tool he found necessary for the job. He ignited his torch-like device, and within moments the area was illuminated by sparks flying off the metal. Assistants attempted to help, but Seven brushed them off. "Don't slow me down."

Joshua smiled and began walking down the street just a little bit ahead of Irina. The night air blew against his face as he walked, blowing his jet-black hair in every direction. nearing the end of the street where another intersected, Joshua stopped and turned around to listen for Irina's footsteps. When she was beside him again he walked over to a house to their left then stood there again, waiting for her to catch up.

Irina followed Joshua as fast as her sandals would allow her too. When she finally caught up with him, she kept following but started asking. "Well then, could you tell where are we going, exactly?"

Norroar

The soldiers were finally done setting the baloon up. "All right, now lift this up a little bit so we can switch over to land mode!" One of the soldiers answered. "It's gonna take at least an hour for us to have any kind of change in height, you know..." Norroar grunted and then started walking towards the center of the deck. "I'll handle it." The soldiers started staring at each other, confused. Norroar stood right below the baloon and stretched out his hands, within moments, his metal gauntlets turned slightly red, showing they were irradiating heat, the shine from his medallion could be seen below his clothes. He stretched both of his hands towards the baloon.

Slight distortions were seen around, showing the heat emanating from his hands and going to the baloon, the baloon filled up at an amazing speed, being ready to fly in seconds. As it tried to pull up, however, a loud sound coming from below indicated that the airship had gotten stuck to something. Norroar looked around and said to the first soldier he saw. "Tell everyone to hold onto something." The soldier nodded and started doing as told. Norroar took a deep breath and started charging the heat around his hands, he suddenly fired a heat wave at the exact limits of his capabilities upwards, the resulting force instantly pulled the airship out of the ground, a few of the soldiers who hadn't listened to the warning were flinged around with the sudden movement and were now moaning around the boat while getting up. "All right then...' Said Norroar, he then concluded. "Prepare for a proper landing as soon as Seven finishes fixing the wheels down there."

Joshua grinned then scooped her up in his arms bridal style. "You'll see." He hopped up on a barrel beside the house he was standing by then jumpped up onto the top of the house. He landed softly on the tiles that made up the roof of the house, barely making a sound eventhough he was carrying Irina. "Almost there." He said then started to run along the roof of the house. When he got to the end of the house's roof he simply jumped to the next one. After five houses Joshua landed right in front of a warehouse with it's back against the city wall. Without a word he set Irina back down onto the ground then proceeded to open the warehouse door. As Joshua opened the door, a huge gust of wind surged past him. When it had died down he looked at Irina, a smile on his face. "Do you know what a draft means in a completly sealed off room?" He asked, leaning against the door sightly.

Irina couldn't help but to hold onto Joshua as tight as she could when he started jumping around with her. When he put her back on the ground, she was shaking slightly. "I-I'd be thankful if you never did that again...I'm not exactly a fan of heights..." She said, still stuttering. "And no, I don't know what it means..."

Joshua looked at her with a smile, "It means the room isn't as sealed off as you'd think it is." With that he walked into the warehouse, his dark blue robes flapping behind him in the early evening wind. The warehouse was practically empty other than a few crates here and there, the only thing that seemed out of place was a large hole in the floor near the back. Joshua had walked over to the hole, stopping just at the ledge. With the way he walked and acted, one would question if he were truely blind.

Seven lifted the goggles off his eyes and onto his forhead, marveling at the job he had accomplished. "Who's awsome? I'm awesome," he said to himself before another crew-member tapped him on the shoulder, pointing to the next set of wheels. "Hold your horses man. You want these wheels to break again?!" Seven fumed before moving on.
---
Seven sat down, exhausted from the work. Even a master mechanic like himself had to devote much time and effort to fix up an airship. "Man, what are you guys? Slave-drivers?" he remarked at the supervising crew. "Guess I'll go tell the captain, that everything is in working order now."

The sun beat down mercilessly against Fang's back as she struggled to manipulate the ground beneath her. Sweat beaded across her forehead, giving her the strange sensation of being hot and cold at the same time. Ignoring the disorienting feeling beginning to well up in the pit of her stomach, she pressed on.

Slowly but surely, cracks began to appear on the ground before her. Stalagmites sprouted forth from the cracks.

"This is it," she thought. This was the furthest she'd ever gotten by herself. It was a little sad to her, considering the length of time she had her jewel. Her teeth clenched together in frustration.

"Ungh!"

She slammed her fist into the ground, causing the earth beneath her to shake and crumble. She smiled at the large crater she had managed to form.

"Let's try to make it a little bigger," she thought, resuming her concentration.

She scouted around the place, and looked back at Joshua every now and then. "Well then...What is it that you wanted to show me here after all? It's alredy late, we should hurry before the council sends search parties after me."

Norroar

Not much later, Norroar received the warning that the wheels were back in working order. "Understood. Let's start landing again, this time, slowly and nicely so the wheels can do their thing." As the baloon started to hover down, the wheels lightly touched the ground. The baloon was completely pulled in and the airship was now a landship! The ship drove through the destructed fields of Emlid. The land wich once was vivid and almost as lively as Gaia's was now nothing but crumbled dirt and rocks. Norroar started ordering out. "Well then! Everyone get all weapons ready! We're hard to see but we're not invisible. I don't want us being caught by surprise by some Nerunian squad or something!" Norroar then walked up over to where Seven was, tapping slightly on his shoulder. "Good work. We'll be heading to a base nearby now, from that point we'll head on foot to the place where they found Emlid's crystal."

Norroar closed his eyes forcefully and dropped his head, realizing he might've just said a bit more than he was supposed to. Even though, Seven had helped them a lot so far, no reason not to tell him. "So...We can leave you on that base and our group can handle the rest. After our mission is over we'll use the same ship to go back to Allok."

Joshua pointed down at the hole in the ground then began to walk down what looked like a stone staircase. "If you're so worried about the counsil sending a search party after you then you should hurry up before we miss it." He said decending the small set of stairs. When he reached the bottom it was almost black except for the faint glow of an exit far into the tunnel.

Irina followed Joshua down the staircase, holding her dress up so she wouldn't step on it as she walked. She calmly answered to Joshua. "I'm going as fast as my dress allows it." As each of her steps made her surroundings darker and darker she started having to squint her vision to be able to see what was ahead of her. Searching for something to follow she grabbed Joshua's arm and tried to follow him by his side. "My point is...Are we there yet?" She asked umpatiently.

Clements walked off of the boat and looked around the harbor. There were many people hustling about carrying sacks over their shoulders or rolling barrels off of nearby boats. Clements tugged on his collar to try and relieve the irritation on his neck. He then began to walk towards the City’s gates, where his Corporal said he would meet him. When he arrived he could see his Corporal waiting for him next to a trutdon. A trutdon looked like a giant turtle but the difference between them was you could remove the trutdon’s shell and replace it with anything. Right now the trutdon was carrying a transport shell that could carry four to five people and some supplies in the back. (Basically a carriage on a giant turtle)

Clements put on his hood and looks to his Corporal. His name was Jack and he was wearing the standard Gaian uniform, plated armor with a green cape. Clements sighed. “You do know where we are going it’s going to be hot and humid right? Also you don’t need to wear your uniform when you’re on Gaian land. No one is stupid enough to attack an Army’s trutdon.” Jack shrugged and replied “Well I’ll take it off when it gets uncomfortable.” A man came running up to the trutdon while Jack and Clements went inside the shell. Clements looked at the man but Jack explained “He’s our driver”.

Setting half of the stack of paper next to him, Clements begins to read the papers. “Hrm…The war on Emlid is going badly for Gaia. We can’t make a permanent forward camp.” Jack, who was looking out the window turned and faced Clements. “I thought we just made one?” Clements sighed and placed the paper down and began reading the second page. “Yes but that camp won’t last. The problem is our supply line is stretched too far. That’s the problem with a big army. They need a lot of food.”

After many hours of travelling they finally reached the nearest tribe. Clements looked up from his reading. “Ah good I just finished.” He opens the door and jumped down. After looking at the small tribe he was very disappointed. “Jack go in to this…town? And find anyone of interest and directions to the nearest town. Jack, this time out of his armor and sweating, got out of the shell and moaned. “Seriously? Can’t I go to the bar-“. Clements turned to Jack. “No, you know what we have to do now start asking. I’ll be at the bar when you’re done. Need to drink something. Traveling long distance always gets me thirsty.” Jack grumbles something about unfair treatment while walking into town.

After a few minutes Jack enters the bar to see Clements mindlessly pushing and pulling a rock on the Bar’s table. Jack looks around the bar to see a few shady men in the corner and waitresses talking to each other to kill time. He walks up to Clements and sits next to Clements as he orders a drink. “Well Lieutenant we are very lucky. It seems there is a controller around here. She got her stone after beating some high ranking person.” Clements looks at Jack and sarcastically says “Whoopy doo-dah-day.”

Joshua grinned, although Irina couldn't see it. "Sorry for keeping you waiting, my lady. We have arrived." He said to Irina as they finally stepped into an opening. Cool night air rushed past Joshua and Irina and the soft luminous glow washed over the two. "Wait for it..." He told her as they walked into the middle of the moonlit clearing. As the moon's beams fell upon the bed oof small plants set out before them, the plants slowly budded and bloomed into beautiful snow-white flowers. Regretably, Joshua could not see the flowers, however he could feel the glow of the moon radiate off of their petals. He knew that a spectacular sight was before them and he cursed his inability to see. "Well, I don't know if it was worth the trouble of bringing you here, but I hope you like it." He smiled at her.
