In my recent time away from RRR ive had a few ideas for role plays and ive been wodering wich one to put up, when one or two of the rps going on at the moment end or die out. So what do you think soundes the best

#1: magic the gathering RP: set before the confuence (if you dont know what tht means just ignore it) the intire universe is made up of overlaping planes (like dimensions) on each plane differnt likf exists, but they are seporated ect ect... however in everything, livivng or dead, is a kind of energy called manna. On each plane mages and necromancers and wizzards and alomst anybody with different methods can access. There are some individuals that are born with a kind of power that lies dormant, these people are called planeswalkers, each has tremendous almost instinctive access to manna and spells at there command. If something happens to them in there life, for example a great shock or life changeing event, they will gain the ability to cross between the planes. I havnt come up with a story for this rp yet so its not my fave at the moment.

#2 The Thrice Scar Murder: A murder and dectecive rp set in the modern day. All over (put city name here) people have been found murdered each with the same pattern scared somewhere on their body ||| three cuts sometimes with a knife othertimes in biro or burned into the victims flesh. The best detectivs from all over the world came when the seril killer known as "the thrice sacar man" performed a mass killing in a train station. A bomb was set off next to a piller bringing down the ceiling no body had the three marks on their skin but a remote detonator was found with this message engraved onto its side. "| | | Gods word cannot be stopped" only the murderer will be one of the rpers

#3 A Dissarster rp: I quite like the idea of this one set in the modern a dissaster grips the earth thretenng to kill us all off you know the story. This is the least developed of my ideas but i think with some others help this could become something big.

so id like to hear your oppinions on wich one to develop.

#2 kinda sounds like the Death Note RP, only minus the magic mumbo jumbo. It still sounds fairly interesting though. Out of all of those, I'd like to see #3 more developed. If you need any help, let me know.

thanks ill let you know if i need any help so for the moment its 2 or 3
Sparrowsmith
2 or 3 definitely.
2 is a lot like DN though and an RP I've been planning (only in mine the bad guy will not be a player/may be a player but it will be obvious)

I would be more than willing to help out with 3 wink.gif but my time is limited atm

I liked 3 the most, mainly because of the idea and development available to the story. If we/you were able to expand on that it could turn out very good smile.gif I and i'm sure others would be more than willing to get involved and help out.
Trickster
As others have said, I'd be most interested in the 3rd one since there's a lot of room for character development; character development is unfortunately a rare topic in this forum so seeing how different characters deak with a natural disaster would certainly be interesting once it's developed a bit.

ok so number 3 the main problem i have with this would be to get a plot going and chose a disaster. if we get one that cant be stopped then the players will go and die somewhere in a hole but if the disaster is easy avoided or stopped the entire story will be plot based like so many rps that dont seem to focus on description or character development which as Trickster said is, sadly, hardly seen in the forums

A lot of the RPs in the forum are action-based so you see more action than character development. That being said, I still try my best. lol I think it should be one that can be narrowly avoided but only with quick thinking and a bit of sacrifice. IE: There's a group of kids in an overturned car and they can't get out. But the disaster is coming closer. Do I help them out of the car and risk getting myself killed or do I keep going to save myself? I'd like to see people deal with those kinds of scenarios.

I would love to see something like that.

Maybe the disaster could be something like characters are trapped in a location and must find a way to escape rather than a whole world/city wide disaster?
Although, I think this would mean we'd need a consistent Dungeon Master type user to tell us the kinds of locations and items available to the characters to find their escape.
The RP itself could be somewhat short(Characters are able to escape a collapsed mine shaft?) and completable(4 out of six characters escaping for example, thats over half!) and would definitely mean that we'd have some character development and morality issues.
Wheel of morality turn, turn, turn, show us the lesson that we should learn.

Anyway, I'd love to see a disaster type of RP.
Make sure this happens Kisuke!

lol dont worry this will happen ill just wait a little while untill action cools down unless youd like to see it happen now. I think ill keep it a small RP like darkblade sugested, and if it goes well hey its likly maybe someone will get a large city wide or world wide one going

If you do want to see it go up now ill make it my top priority on RRR
