2 questions really ...... uhhmmmm ok first ones hard second not really (thats what she said) anyway so yeah how could i make a similar system like zelda when hes playing the ocarina or how would you get about doing that? ... and also is there a way i could have an event running that for example ... shows a pic or something disables the players moving abilty? or even doing anything for that matter? like disable everything but whats going on

I don't think you can completely do this in events. And although this is script/code, I believe you can achieve this with an ABS (Active Battle System), there's quite a few different battle systems in the script section of the forums that could give you your desired effect.

I'm sure you'll find one that'll work perfectly for you (If you're still not sure how they would work, check youtube; quite a few people have used these custom systems to make their RM games look like the 2D Zelda games and posted them up there)

Err this can totally be done with events, but I'd just use the advanced "script" in the events section, it'll run smoother trust me.

so let's say you make a simple melody, down, z, right, left, a. just make a button timer and make sure you set the max timer to 30. so button<=max = "continue pressing buttons"

If your asking if the Zelda bs can be done in RM than the answer is yes, but DO not use an existing battle system simply because it generally has useless features that you honestly don't need..

Also use Fotzs pixel movement script(since it supports event pixel movement to) just be aware that you would need to right say left like 8 times for it to move a substantial distance.. (if ya got hit..)

ok i get this but i dont at the same time ... can someone explain a little better? ... or perhaps a screenshot with directions in it

i want it to be exactly like OOT ... press a button and he holds ocarina, if you press b button it cancels, and it doesnt show anything on the screen until you get a song right, also i want to know how you can maybe learn songs... like not be able to play them until you have beatin a certain part.. help???
