Baron looked at Nayiana and smirked then turned his attention back to the giant crab before them. He slowly drew his sword and held it in a ready position. Baron took heed to Nayana's words about physical attacks not working very well and decided to play the fight defensibly. Although for it's width, the blade of Baron's sword was very strong and would probably be able to stand up against one of the crab's attacks, however, he would not let the monstrous crustacean get the chance to test that out. "Haruman!" He shouted at the tall Yuke, "Lemme borrow that magicite for a second."

Rex landed on his shield, so he wasn't hurt from being shoved, although he did get dirt on his face, which did bother him a bit, but that was the least of his worries at the moment. Rex looked to Nayiana, "Ya I'm alright, alot better then if I was under the crab, thats for sure." HE stood up and attempted to dust himself off, when something caught his eye, it was Nayiana.

"Whoever stares, dies."

"I'm dead." Rex grinned, he couldn't help but stare, but carma would soon strike him, in a form of a giant crab claw none the less, which happen to strike him, sending him five meters in the air, and then landing on his feet, only to fall over again. "Damn crab..." He weakily picked himself back up and leaned on his sword, "Do you guys think we can even take it? look at all the swords in its claw!" He barely finished his words before he felt a tingling sensation in his left arm, he turned his head just in time to see a thunder ball swirl around and enter his arm, He let out a shriek of pain. "IT KNOWS THUNDER!" He yelled, as his arm was now numb and refusing to move. Rex almost started to wimper, then he got charged at again, he tripped backwords, ended up under the crab somehow, and he thrust his sword upwards, penatrating it right at the joint for its large claw. It jumped off.

Rex stood up and tried to regain any respect he had from the others, although it was hard to look battle ready with a limp arm.

Nayiana snatched Haruman's cloak, staring back at everyone while putting it around her shoulders. "Perverts." She turned again to the crab, apparently, it had absorbed Haruman's eletric attack and redirected it at Rex. After Rex somehow managed to cut off one of the crab's claws, Nayiana was able to spot a small crack on the top of the crab's carapace. "All right...I got an idea..." She turned to the others. "Try not attacking it while i'm on it, all right?" She said before running in the crab's direction. The crab thrusted it's other claw at her but she jumped over it and fell on top of the crab, sinking a knife on the crack, increasing it slightly. "Damnit, not strong enough." The crab shook her off and she fell rolling on the floor, she got up, holding her arm, wich had just gotten an open wound. "Focus the attacks around that crack."

"Hmmm, lets try..." Haruman muttered, then threw a pouch towards Baron, filled with an assortment of thunder and clear magicites. He then charged towards the crab recklessly, towards the claw. After dodging a blow that smashed into the ground, he jumped onto the main crack of the claw. He then dropped a fire and blizzard magicite into the crack, just big enough for the magicites to fit, then pulls out his sword and smashes it into the crack, setting off the magicites.
"HIT THE DECK!" Haruman shouted, after the crab flung him off ten foot away. This'll do some damage

The giant crab exploded is a shower of flame and ice. Baron grinned as the smoke cleared, the crab was still standing, but it's massive shield-like claw had been completly torn off. "Now it's my turn." He said, taking out a thunder magitite and crushing it on his sword. The power of electricity flowed through his blade and now coursed through his body, giving him a temporary increase in speed and strength. Baron ran forward, almost inhumanly. The crab fired off thunder spells at Baron as he ran, dodging and ducking under every one. "You call that a thunder!?" He yelled at the crab, "Eat this!" Baron jumped into the air and flew over the crab. Within a split second, he brought his electrically charged sword down onto the now exposed back of the crab. The sound of thunder crackled through the air as his blade met the crab's flesh. Baron jumped away from the crab, the electrical charge now gone from his blade and his body. "So..." Baron glanced at the steaming crab, two of it's legs were still twitching, "Crab for dinner?" He said, turning and looking at the rest of the group, his face blank and expressionless.

Nayiana grunted heavily "I'll pass." She said bluntly, she looked at Myrrh tree, not far from there. She set the chalice in-between the tree and the waterfall, she grabbed her cloak from the ground, still a bit sticky and then looked at her own clothes below Haruman's cloak, they were also still all covered in that crab's spit. She turned to the others. "I'm going to take a bath..." She said bluntly and the pointed out to the tree. "You guys go fill the damn chalice, i swear, if i pick any of you going peeping Tom on me, the last thing you'll see will be my arrow going in your direction." She walked up to the waterfall and took out her boots, setting them aside and slowly walked into the water. She turned to the others. "Now..."

"How're we gonna fill the chalice if you're taking a shower in the waterfall? The bubble on reaches so far you know." Baron commented, staring at the chalice on the ground. He wiped some sweat from his forehead with his arm and sighed, sitting down beside the chalice. Had it always been this hot? He wondered.

Rex relaxed, his body was really tense, he walked as far as he could towards the tree without leaving the protection of the bubble, "Doe anyone else think the tree looks a little...menacing?" He stared at it, wondering why it had such a curious shape. His contimplating was intruppted when he just realized something. Nayiana's comment earlier had to do with...well you know..."I'm just a stick?" he was kidna upset at this thought, but soon realized that taking so long to figuire what she was talking about before mgiht make him seem slow. Damnit... HE smacked his forehead with his still slightly numb hand.

"Throw me a crab claw" Haruman said, as he walked over to the myrrh tree. He set down the chalice (OOC : I thought I had it.... I feel left out XP) and pulled out a whetstone and started sharpening his weapon. A few minutes later, he pulled out his pot from the caravan, and starting a bit of alchemy ; mixing his thunder with spare stones he had, in an attempt to create some more powerful magicites. Finally, he set fire to a nearby felled tree, to use as kindling and a way to cook his hard earned crab.

With a flick of his wrist, Baron's sword flashed at the crab, sending it's claw that wasn't blown up flying at Haruman. "Don't burn it." He warned with a small grin and went back to repairing his sword. Fusing magitite with the blade had done some pretty heavy damage on the construction of the sword. "Damn...I'm gonna have to forge a new one if this keeps up.."

(OoC: Sorry guys, I've been sick, dying, vomiting, etc, etc, etc. Long catch-up post. lol)

Chance took a couple pictures of her fellow party members during the fight. "Wow! You guys are good! Really good! Maybe you don't need my help at all!" Although she was smiling when she said that, she felt sad inside. She didn't want to be the only one not helping the group. Well, I'm here for damage control. If any of them get hit, it's up to me and my soothing magic to heal them. I guess it's not so bad if I think of it like that.
Rex found a key and Nayiana managed to open a gate with it. Chance snapped another shot. "Smart too," she said to herself quietly. The team she was with was very impressive. She noticed the goblin behind Nayiana and screamed. Luckily, Baron took it out before it hit her. "Nice work team! You guys rock!" They continued down the road until they came to a crossroads. A sign informed them that there was a Moogle house to the right and extreme danger to the left. "There will be extreme danger for that Moogle if we let Rex near it. Let's keep moving." They followed that path and arrived at a large waterfall. "Wow, it's so beautiful..." Chance said and fumbled for her camera.
A large shadow formed behind the waterfall and a giant crab jumped out from behind it and attacked the group. Nayiana was able to shove Rex out of harm's way but was hit when the crab spat a green glob of...something at her. Her cloak was stuck to the ground and she was forced to remove it. "Whoever stares, dies," she said.
"What about pictures?" Chance asked with a playful grin and took a quick pic. "This one will definitely go in our album!" The other members leapt into battle and Chance joined them, firing magical energy from her staff. It took a bit of effort, but it wasn't long before the beast was defeated. "Woohoo!" Chance cried and jumped into the air. "We rock, guys!"
Nayiana said she was going to take a bath while the others cooked up the crab. "Wow~ A bath sounds great right now, count me in!" She dropped a sly wink and giggled. "Don't worry, I'll leave the camera behind." She turned to the others and shouted "Save some for me!" before following Nayiana.

((OoC: Glad to have you back! I'm sure we all missed you. Hope you get all better soon!!))

Baron sighed after inspecting his damaged sword one last time before he stood up with a grunt. He blinked at a sudden pain in his side. Why am I...just feeling this now..? He thought as he patted his side then looked at his hand. When he went to look at his hand it was red with a warm sticky fluid. Aww, jeez...already? Dammit all... He sighed again and slowly began to remove his tunic and hard plating underneath. For his age, Baron had somewhat toned muscles, and a few scars here and there to boot. The only noticeable one though, was a big, wicked looking gash on his back, running all the way down his right shoulder down to the small of his back. baron inspected the small cut in his side began to treat it by first washing it. He walked over to the waterfall, paying no attention to the girls taking a shower. He turned around and crouched down, facing away from the waterfall and started to clean his wound with the crisp water. When he was sure it was clean Baron walked back to the caravan and started to dig through is things, pulling out a roll of white bandages which he then proceeded to wrap around his waist and the wound. With a small hunting knife he had also pulled out from his bag, Baron cut the bandages and tied them snugly to his body. "Jeez...what a hassle...I would be the first one hurt wouldn't I, Chloe?" Baron grumbled as he put the things he had pulled out of the caravan back inside of it. He walked over to where he had left his sword and tunic and put them both back on, neglecting to put his armor back on though. Baron reached up to the tie he used to hold his hair back in a ponytail and un-did it, letting his thigh-length jet-black hair fall and spred out against his back. "That's better.." He said and ran his fingers through it. "Could use a wash.." He glanced up to the waterfall again, his face turning a bit pink, "Better wait till their done..." He said quickly turning away and heading towards the crab.

Nayiana turned to Chance. "You weren't serious about putting that picture in an album, were you?" She asked, slightly worried. She looked away and then opened her backpack by the shore of the waterfall, she changed into a spare set of clothes she had brought in her backpack amidst all the trinkets that were in there. They weren't exactly clothes, more like armor, all of the pieces were made of studded leather. A breastplate, shorts and gauntlets and boots. "Oh well, not like it matters. It's not like i'm coming back to Tipa, anyways." She finished putting her leather gauntlets on and moved her wrist around, checking for flexibility. She looked at her cloak, wich she had left by shore, close to the backpack after she cleaned it. It was still a bit wet on the edges, but that probably wouldn't be an issue. She turned to Chance once more and said. "Well, i'll go join the boys, shout if you need anything." That said, Nayiana walked over to the boys, sitting by the fire and taking one of the crab's legs for herself as a snack. Her Selkie teeth showed as she bit out a huge part of the leg with a single bite.

(OoC: Thanks Dirus. I'm feeling a little better today. Won't be too long before I've recovered my full strength.)

Chance watch Nayiana walk back to the camp. "Who's gonna wash my back now?" she said quietly to herself with a pout on her lips. "Oh well." She stripped off all her clothes and dove into the lake. She had nice form. It was a shame no one was around to see it. Although, she wasn't sure she'd want the guys to see it. Not without clothes on. "Wonder what she meant by not going back to Tipa? Hmmm." She floated lazily on her back, not terribly concerned if anyone happened to be nearby. Who would come all the way out here anyways? After getting most of the dirt off of her body, she decided to get out and get dressed again. She had no towel so she used her shirt to get most of the water off before rejoining the group. "Sorry, hope you weren't waiting long!" she said as she approached. "Wow, that looks great!" Her eyes glittered as she looked at the meal before them. "Thanks for the meal!" she said as her parents had taught her to say before eating. She dug into the crab meat. "This is delicious!"

Baron picked at his crab meat on a flat rock. For someone who just helped kill a giant crab, he wasn't very hungry. He sighed and stuffed the meat into his mouth, chewing everso slowly with a bored and uninterested look on his face. He looked up as Nayiana and Chance joined the group to eat, standing up the moment they sat down and walked over to the water. He knelt down at the water's edge and splashed the water into his face, cleaning the sweat and dirt off of his face. Then he dunked his whole head underwater, wetting down his long, black hair. Baron quickly came up for air and swung his head around, whipping his hair and sending the water splashing to the ground. Baron stood up and reached to the back of his head, tying his hair up into a long ponytail with a thin white ribbon. That's better... He thought and walked over to the caravan, patting the papaopamus then sitting down and resting his back against the side of the great ox-like creature's belly. Baron sighed again and closed his eyes, ignoring the creature's smell.

I probably shouldn't go near the water again... Rex slumped his head in his hand as he sat at the fire, Odds are I'd pull a chicken, and drown myself. He let out a sigh tghen shoved some crab in his mouth, "This sucks...I have like...the reverse of hydrophobia..." he continued to eat, he was rather hungry, that and he wanted to eat the beast that nearly killed him. after finisheing what he had all grabbed he spoke, "So where should we go next?" while contimplating and awaiting an answer, he heard a small reconisale noise in the distance running close very fast, Could that be? Yes it is. Rex grabbed his sword and held on to it tightly.

"Kupo!" the small mail moogle had run over to the group with a small pouch full of letters, he quickly and silently handed them each a letter, then stood a little off to the side, with worry in his eyes and staring at Rex's sword.

"Mail?" Rex opened his letter and read swiftly.

(OoC: Dun dun dun dun! We just got a letter, We just got a letter! We just got a letter! I wonder who its from? XD)

(OoC: Blue's Clues reference? Really? Funny nonetheless. lol)

"Come here, little Moogle," Chance said and held out her arms. "Let big sis protect you from the bad guys." Surprisingly, the Moogle flew into her arms and let her hug him. She rested her chin on his head as she read her letter.

Dear Chance,

It hasn't been that long before you left, I know. But your mother was begging me to let her write a letter to you. I told her that you were fine but She wouldn't listen. I'm sure you're having a lot of fun on your adventures right now. I just pray that you stay safe. And are you remembering to take a lot of pictures? Send the film back to us with the Moogle and we'll develop the photos.

There was a second page to the letter.

Oh my baby I hope you're okay! I worry about you all the time. Your father says you're fine and I'd like to believe him but I just can't help worrying. It's what moms do. Remember to eat right and change your clothes. And get good sleep. And write back or else!

Chance smiled at the letters. "Guess I better write back. One last pic before I send you off with the film, Mr. Moogle!" She held the camera above her and took a picture of herself hugging the Moogle. "Alright. Now let me right up a quick response and I'll give you the film. Thanks for coming all this way."

Baron looked at the envelope that he was given by the moogle. It only took him one guess to know who it was from.

Dear big brother,

It's been really quiet since you left. You must have scared the pants off of some of the boys before you left! I hope you're eating right, you have to keep up your strength in order to stay alive! When you get home I'll cook you up a biiiiig feast. Oh! I almost forgot, are you making friends? That's always important on long journies.
The little cat that hangs around our neighborhood visited me today, I was so happy to have some company that I got busy playing with him that I totaly forgot about the laundry outside and it rained! I had to wash them all over again, oh well.
Make sure to come home and write back!

Baron smiled after reading the letter and began to write back. When he was finished, he handed the letter to the moogle and bit the little guy farewell.

Thundus looked slightly disappointed. He knew he would get no mail, but still....

But this was not the time to reminisce. He needed to get a move on, so he checked on the chalice. Almost absorbing all the myrrh in the area, with was not even a tenth full yet. Then again, he was used to exploring more dangerous regions, rather than these pleasant terrains.

Nayiana's eyes widened as she heard the "Kupo!". Before the moogle came close, Nayiana was hiding behind the dead crab's corpse. Nayiana received no mail. After the moogle left she slowly crawled out of her hiding. "Is he gone yet...? Good." She recovered her composure and returned to sit by the fire and to eat her food. Not even showing any hint of emotion towards having received no letters at all.

"Uh, are you okay?" Chance asked Nayiana when she returned. "Don't tell me you're afraid of Moogles," she said with a laugh. "I love those little guys. They're so fuzzy and soft." She let out a sigh. "I wish I had my own Moogle." She noticed their shadows were starting to grow long. "Getting kinda late it looks like. Should we camp out here or try to make it to a city? I guess Tipa would be the closest although we aren't too far from Marr's Pass either if we infuse the chalice with water energy here. Up to you guys. I'm fine with anything."

Rex opened his letter with great haste. He recieved some scribble marks and a name, clearly an art work of his sibling, which sibling was the confusing part, he decided it would be best to just not reply and bring a great present at the end of the year.

"Uhm...I am quite confortable right here, we know there isn't too many monsters near, we just killed them. The tree is close by, which is another comforting thing, and we can wash up in the morning before leaving. I think we should stay." That and I really don't feel like walking right now. he gave an innocent smile.

"Lets just wait here then, easiest thing enough. I don't like big cities anyway. Too many people." Haruan stated, indifferently.

Nayina let out a short 'humph' when Chance mentioned Moogles. She then heard what everyone had to say and stood up. "Right then, guess we'll spend the night here and go to Marr's Pass by morning." She walked over to the caravan and picked up their map, bringing it and placing it on the ground for everyone to see. "I've taken the liberty of giving the map a look during our trip to this place. And i think that after Marr's Pass we should head to the Mushroom Forest." She put her finger on the map, marking the spot. "Also..." She opened her backpack and set down in front of her a few totem-like statuettes, standing at about five inches each. "I found those on the way here." She sat down. "When i was small...My father told me that caravaneers activated these things at the end of each of their adventures, they supposedly increase our strength or something." Nayiana grabbed one of the statuettes and started examining it, it seemed like some sort of creature, on the base of the statuette she read out loud. "Man eater..." She giggled, tottaly taking it the wrong way. "At any rate...He never told me how to activate them though." She continued to examine the statuette up and down, searching for some kind of switch.

(OOC: Anyone's free to think up of a way to activate them, i though of crushing them, but that's kinda...Excessive. If anyone has any other ideas.)

Baron looked down at the assorted artifacts, "What's this one do.." He wondered out loud after picking up an Ice Brand. He stared intently at it seemed like it stared right back. Suddenly, the artifact began to glow, as it did so it lifted itself up from Baron's hands. The Ice Brand artifact quickly turned into a blue ball of energy and shot at baron, hitting him square in the chest. He staggered backwards a little then blinked. "What just happened...?" He asked. For some reason, he felt stronger than he was before.

((OoC: I guess that's the way I've always envisioned it. If you guys have different ideas I'd be happy to change it though.))

(OOC: Nah, sounds good to me.)

"Hey, how did you do that?" Just then her own artifact started shining as well, it turned into a sphere of yellow energy and hit her in the chest, just like Baron's did. She slight patted the place where the sphere entered her body. "Interesting..." She said, slightly looking behind her leather armor to see if it had done something to her skin. "Everything seems in order...But i hope this has no side effects..." She muttered and then turned to the others. "Hey, there are quite a few left, go ahead and pick."

"Hmm?" Haruman said, holding his silver brand. Suddenly, a blinding light then emerged, just as the other groups did.

"Ugh, I hate these things. Every day, SOMETHING has to exlpode. Great."

"Huh," Chance said and looked at one curiously. "I guess I'll take this one if there are no objections." She stared at it intently, waiting for the same effect the others had. After a moment, it burst into light and she felt magical energy flowing through her body. "Wow," she said. "This feels kinda good. Now I think I'll be able to support you all better." She walked over to the caravan and took out her bag. "Well, it's been a long day but I think I'm gonna go ahead and crash now." She found her bedroll and laid it out on the ground before making herself comfortable. "Night guys."

Rex looked at the artifact, then at the others, then back to the artifact, "Why do I get the purple one again?" he scratched his head then activated it, afterwards he felt a little smarter, which was a good thing for him with his natural lack of intellegence. "Scratch that question..." He looked at the night sky, "Sleeping outdoors after slaying a monster, this is what questing is all about...oh and the loot." he grinned then laid down, without any of his sleeping stuff, and fell asleep.

Nayiana looked around at her fellow caravaneers. Is everyone forgetting we're in a zone habitated by monsters? She turned to the others that were still awake and said in a low volume, not to wake up the others. "I'll keep watch today, i can sleep tommorow morning, during the trip." She said, smiling weakly. She sat by the fire and covered herself up with her cloak. Keeping her bow right by her side. She watched as a small butterfly flied outside of their chalice's area of effect. Why only we are affected by the miasma...Why are animals, monsters and moogles simply fine with it...? She shook her head, realizing she was thinking about something not even the greatest scholars were able to figure out. She turned her gaze towards the fire.

Baron walked over by the fire. He had left soon after the light from the artifact entered his body. He sat down at the base of the tree, away from the fire and everyone else. Baron didn't go to sleep though. His green eyes watched the flames of the campfire flicker about, reaching towards the sky but never getting higher than a few feet. He sighed and leaned his head up against the trunk of the tree, now gazing up at the mass of stars above their heads. "We're really small...aren't we?" He suddenly said in a quiet voice. "No matter how you look at it....There's just so much we don't know and no matter how hard we try, we may never know in our life time." Baron, for being one to not talk very much, had a lot on his mind. He looked at his companions around the fire, some were sleeping and some were still poking at the scarlet flames. "We've embarked on a journey that will allow us to see more than we may have ever dreamed of this world, many experiences await us." He smiled then pulled a bleached white bone flute from out of his cloak and looked at it fondly in the shimmering moonlight. He ran a single finger along the flute then slowly brought it to his lips. He blew into the flute, but no sound came forth. Instead, it seemed as though the sounds of the night became more noticeable. But it wasn't just noise, nature seemed to sing along with Baron's silent melody. Suddenly, Baron stopped and opened his eyes causing the forest around them to become silent. He slipped the flute back into his cloak and looked back up to the stars, "Yup, we have so much to learn, but only so much time to do it in."

Nayiana let out a long yawn as she woke up, since she didn't sleep back at the myrrh three she decided to take a nap on the caravan while on the way to Marr's Pass. She looked around at the others. "Morning everyone..." She said scratching her head. "Are we close to Marr's Pass yet...?" She grabbed a small handmirror of hers and looked at herself, her appearance was looking rather below average since she wasn't using her usual make-up. She quickly fixed her hair with a brush and the proceeded to put up her make-up. As she stuffed her hand in her bag she started feeling up something in there was unusually fluffy. "Kupo! That tickles!" Nayiana shrieked and crawled away from her bag, nearly falling off the caravan.

A small striped moogle hovered out of her bag, carrying a small leather pouch in his mouth. Nayiana snapped out of her shock and identified the pouch. "HEY! That's my money, you filty thief!" The moogle shook it's head. "Kupo! I'm not filthy!" Then in the distance, a group of two selkies was seen, waving their arms over to the moogle, they started shouting. "Hey! Get out of there before they catch you!" The moogle nodded in response and tried to fly away, before he could get away enough, however, Nayiana promptly jumped after him and grabbed her money pouch. On one side was Nayiana pulling the pouch back towards the caravan and on the other side was the moogle, trying desperatly try to fly away while pulling the pouch with it's mouth. Nayiana yelled out at the group. "Don't just stand there! Do something!"

Baron looked back at the two struggling. Jeez...already...? He thought walking to the back of the caravan and over to Nayiana and the moogle. Baron just stood there with a slightly annoyed look on his face then reached out and snatched the moogle in mid-air with one hand. He glared at the moogle, who was still pulling at the money pouch, although he was now not going anywhere. Baron pulled out a curved hunting dagger from a sheath on his waist and held it up to the moogle's head, poking him a little. "Drop it." Baron said harshly, as if he was speaking to a bad dog. The terrified moogle squeaked and did as he was told, but when he went to fly away, he was held in place by Baron's firm grip. "Kupo...." The captured moogle whimpered. "Oi! You two! Come here! Unless you don't want your filthy thief of a moogle back!" Baron yelled at the two Selkies down the road. "I'm not-!" The moogle tried to defend himself but was quickly cut off by a very angry 'shut up' from Baron.

"So, here's the deal." Baron said after the two Selkies had attempted to make up a story as to why their moogle was in the caravan, and why he had tried to run off with Nayiana's money pouch. "You're both going to show me any valuables you have. If I see one I like, I'll give you your moogle back and let you be on your way. If I don't see anything however, I kill you on the spot and take your moogle to sell in the nearest city or town. Got it?" Baron asked, in the same way his father used to talk to him. The same way a commanding officer would talk to his underlings when he wanted something or else. The Selkies glanced at each other then back at Baron and reluctantly nodded. They began to dig in their pockets, pulling out food and other rations. Suddenly, the younger of the two Selkies pulled out a ring with red trim and a ruby gem. "That." Baron suddenly said, pointing at the ring. "I'll take that, in exchange for your moogle and your lives." He turned his pointing had palm up and motioned with his fingers to the Selkie to give him the ring. "Ah, well. Was just gonna sell it anyways." The Selkie shrugged and handed Baron the ring." Baron smiled at the two Selkies, "Pleasure doing business with ya." He said and handed them their moogle. "Now get outta here!"

Once the group of three had disappeared from sight, Baron turned around to face Nayiana. "Here." He said, handing her the money pouch and the ring. "That's a fire ring. My God...are we destined to survive...? baron thought in despair.

Chance heard the commotion and reached for her camera before going to aid Nayiana. She took a couple pictures before Baron came in and threatened the Moogle. "Oh! I have to get a picture of that!" Then two other Selkies showed up and Baron traded them the Moogle for their valuables. "Wow," Chance said once they were gone. "Baron, that was so cool! Another win for the Tipa caravan!" She looked at the ring in Nayiana's hand with a tinge of jealousy for a moment before hopping back into the caravan and grabbing the map. "Marr's Pass is actually really close. We should be able to..." She stood on the tips of her toes and looked in the direction of Marr's Pass. "Yup! There it is! You can see it from here."

"Thats great! I am looking forward to sleeping in an Inn...that rocky floor kinda did me in it seems." Rex moaned, it was his own fault, but he was going to blame the ground for all it was worth. "Well...I guess its a good thing they only noticed your wallet Nayiana," He pulled a small bag from his secret pocket, "Cause I am the one covering all our supplie costs." What he was meaning in that statement was, due to his father being a merchant, he kinda had a bit more gil then he should, which now he was kinda regretting showing the two selkie females.

"All of our supply costs?" Chance asked with a bit of wonderment. The pouch Rex had in his hand was huge. It wasn't even a pouch. It was a bag. Full of money. "Wow, uh, that's pretty generous of you. So say if I...need some new clothes for some strange reason," she said with a fake laugh, "then you'd be the who'd take care of that?" She leaned in closer towards him, making full use of her..."advantages". "I love a man who can take responsibility like that." What she meant was: "I love a man who throws money at me." However, not wanting to look like the town whore, she stepped back and flicked his forehead. "Juuuust kidding!" she said with a laugh. "Seriously though, an inn sounds amazing right now."

Nayiana winked while she put the ring on. "My my, giving me rings alredy, Baron? I would have settled for a few flowers first." She laughed. She then stared at the ring and then back at Baron. "Seriously now, thank you." She nodded her head, while smiling. She followed them with her eyes as the group of thieves ran off, she noticed they weren't carrying a chalice or anything similar. "Those thieves...They walk around carrying portable cristals, correct?" She was lost in thought until the jingle of Omnial's bag got her attention. Before she could try anything herself though, Chance alredy did it. "Gee, and i thought only i did that."

She looked onwards and saw Marr's Pass not very far from there. She promptly jumped off the caravan and followed walking by the caravan's side. "So...We'll still have some time before nightfall, what are y'all doing till then? Personally, i'm going to check out the local blacksmith. I found a bow design in the middle of all the trash back at the Old way and i can't wait to see what it'll look like after it's done."

IC : Haruman slept through the ruckus.

Baron shrugged at Chance then looked back at Nayiana. "Don't get the wrong idea. A magic ring is of no use to me. I have the weakest magic of us all and trying to infuse fire into my current sword would be disastrous." He smiled back, "You're welcome." He heard her mention something about a blacksmith in the next town, Baron had a little repairing to do himself. He unsheathed his sword and looked at the blade. A LOT of repairing to do. Jeez...if this what's going to happen every time I infuse it with something...I'm gonna die of repair costs. The sword's blade was chipped, cracked and burnt all over, even melted in places. Baron just sighed and put the sword back in it's sheath then continued to walk alongside the caravan. "You should hide that someplace safe, Rex. Don't want it all disappearing on us when we've only just started." He laughed and nudged the Clavat in the shoulder.

"First thing I'm gonna do is eat," Chance said. "I'm starving. And it's not like I have to worry about putting on weight with all the running around we do." She laughed a little. The group passed through the gate and into the city. "Wow, this place is huge," Chance said with awe in her voice. The city was massive compared to Tipa. It had stone walkways rather than dirt paths and large buildings also made of stone. In the back of the city was a giant castle. "Now this is why I joined the caravan. To see incredible sights like this. I wonder where else we'll go in our travels." She felt excitement welling up within her. "Man, this is great! I'm gonna go on ahead! See you guys later!" She gave a quick wave and dashed off into the city.

Rex shoved his pouch with money into another pocket, "Ya..." He continued to walk along with the caravan for a while, then Chance ran off, he quickly followed suit, however he ran up to the towns crystal, he knew that a bigger town would have and require a bigger crystal, but he was not expecting it to be that big. "Its sooo big and shiny..." he reached out to touch it, but quickly stopped when he heard some angry ramblings from the mayor of the town, Fine then i won't try to understande the crystals and save the world, he pouted as he went to the inn to get everything ready for the group, he wasn't interested in shopping or sight seeing, at least not after being yelled at.

Chance had been at the crystal too when Rex showed up. She was taking pictures while thinking in the back of her mind if there was any way she could somehow take it with her and Rex decided to try and touch it. He was yelled at right away and told not to touch. He left right after that, presumably to go to the inn. He seemed a little down. Concerned, Chance went after him.
"Hey, is everything okay?" she asked when she arrived and put a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry about it. Why don't you come with me? I heard about a good place to eat here once. Come on!" Not taking no for an answer, she dragged him by the hand to a small restaurant. "I have some money with me too. It'll be my treat." She smiled at him.

(OoC: I guess that could be seen as sorta force posting but you get to go on a date with Chance so no complaining.)

Rex was a little confused about being pulled away for a meal, "Uhm...okay?" he just went along with it though, "Wait...you said you would pay? what kind of selkie are you?" he laughed, "I'll pay this time." I wonder if this was her intent from the beginning? Eh, whatever, am out with a selkie, no complaining... He pulled her chair out for her before seating himself. "I didn't think I would be going to a restaurant during this quest." he chuckled then looked over a list of what they had, "Ooh...Striped apple pie" He lit right up as he saw his favourite treat.

Wow, he's a nice guy, Chance thought to herself when Rex said he would pay. And here I was actually going to treat him too. She was happily surprised when he pulled her chair out for her. "A gentleman, are we?" she said with a smile. "And who said chivalry is dying out?" She picked up a menu. "Truth be told, I wasn't sure if I'd ever get an opportunity to eat here. I'm glad we were able to stop by." He mentioned pie. Normally she'd make a chastising remark like "Be sure and eat your vegetables too." out of habit but decided against it this time. After all, she did bring him out here to cheer him up. "Maybe I'll get some beef. That sounds good." She looked at his smiling face and found herself smiling too. She was looking forward to spending the year with this group.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN I ALSO HAVE TO PAY FOR THE MATERIALS!?" Nayiana was blasting off at the one blacksmith she found, who had said she'd have to pay both for his services and for the materials, the lilty blacksmith was shaking his hands disperatly, trying to calm her down. "I-I don't have the materials, it's not my fault the item is expensive!" Nayiana slammed her hands on the counter. "What?! You're saying that just because i'm poor, i'll have to die on the road while adventuring?!" The blacksmith blinked several times, surprised and confused. "Wh-What?!" Nayian walked out of the blacksmith's store and started yelling out. "HEY EVERYONE, THIS STORE DISCRIMINATES AGAINST THE POOR!" The Lilty blacksmith desperatly pulled her back inside the store. "Okay okay! I'll give you a 50% discount and will go get the materials, how does that sound?" Nayiana crossed her arms. "That sounds better, here's the weapon design." She threw the scroll over to the blacksmith, who slowly walked off to the nearby shop, sighing heavily. Nayiana walked off in the opposite direction, putting her hand over her mouth to hold her laughing.

She spotted Chance and Rex eating out together in a restaurant, she blinked a few times. Wh-Whaat...? When did those two get so close...? She frowned, feeling a bit jealous, and then left, starting to search around the town. Not after long she found Baron (I'll assume he would head to the blacksmith to get his sword fixed, if not, just tell me and i'll edit this post.) making his way out of another blacksmith's store, she walked by him, grabbing him by the arm and saying. "You and me are going in a date, now." After dragging him for a while she stopped and turned to him. "Uhm...Where do we go...?"

"Jeez...we're all digging a hole in our wallets to save our lives. Might as well be our own graves." Baron sighed weakly and looked down at he newly repaired sword. Suddenly, he was jerked to the right only hearing the words 'you', 'date' and 'now' Baron responded in the way that any male would in that situation, "Huh?! Wha- Hey!" He looked down at Nayiana. "Oh." He said then looked around for someplace where they could go. He wasn't much of a lady's man, not like Rex. Baran was the kind of person that liked to relax and fall asleep under the shade of a tree. He shrugged and decided that their best bet was to find someplace to eat. Baron, without a word began to walk towards a parlor, Nayiana in tow. "I heard they have some really good food over as well as frozen treats." He said, looking down at her with a handsome smile. "Care for a bite?" he asked, "I'll buy."

As haruman woke up, he noticed they were in a city. Groggy from waking up, he only just noticed there was a theif stealing from the caravan's collection. One thrust later, he picked up the pouches held by the thief and his helper, as the assistant theif ran off after being relieved of worldly possessions. With his newfound wealth, Haruman walked over to the tavern close to the caravan, and bought a drink.

Nayiana looked at the restaurant Baron had just suggested and recognized it as the very restaurant she had seen Rex and Chance in, she scouted around for them and saw them not far from there. She blinked a few times. Aww...What am i doing...? I just invited a guy i met a few days ago to a date out of...Wait...Why did i do that again...? She scratched the back of her head, not believing what she had just done. I should try to at least not make this turn out horribly awkward...Uhm... She grabbed Baron's arm again and pulled him over to a seat. "Oh, this place is great, this way." She quickly pulled Baron to a seat that was as far as she could see from Rex and Chance, pushing him into the seat that had it's back facing them. Nayiana put her hand behind her head, smiling innocently. "Uhm...Sorry about that so uhh..." She took the seat opposite to his and then realized, the place they had picked was pointing straight to Rex and Chance, if Chance were to look behind Rex it would be easy for her to see Baron and Nayiana. Nayiana's left eye twitched slightly and a sweat drop went down her head. Great...If i ask to move somewhere else he'll get suspicious and if i don't move Chance might spot me. As the several problems showed up one after another, Nayiana found herself with no other option than to drop her head on the table, forgetting Baron was standing right in front of her.

Baron looked at Nayiana with a raised eyebrow and smiled slightly, leaning back in his seat. "Wanna go some place else?" He asked after a moment of silence. He didn't know why Nayiana was acting so stressed out but figured there was a good reason for it. Unless it was him that was stressing her out. No...wait that can't be right...can it? He thought, I mean...she was the one who asked to go on a date so randomly. Was it the ring? Not it wasn't the ring. Maybe the ring...probably the ring. Suddenly, Baron heard laughing from two familiar voices on the other side of the restaurant. Oh. He looked at Nayiana and her defeated expression and laughed a bit to himself. He poked her head with his index finger, "You okay?" He asked. "You don't look too well, maybe we should try someplace where we can eat outside?" He suggested, not letting on that he had noticed Rex and Chance.

Rex had finished eating his pie pretty quickly, and not a crumb was to be found left over. "Well that was great," he sat back in his chair, "So...you come here often?" he grinned then started chuckling, "Sorry, couldn't resist. But honestly how did you know of this place?" he asked with genuine curiousity.
