I am going to make a Digimon RP, but I need a small bit of feedback before I make it. And this small bit of feedback kinda dsetermines everything lol.

And who all would be interested in it? (I am making it even if only one person shows interest lol)

It would be only our original human characters, you do not have to make your own digimon, but can if you wish.

An alternative is to put your own twist to the X-Evolution senario. Also helps that the movie would be enough background to people unfamiular to digimon, or lost touch with it.

Yeah, and if we make it based off of the first three, the story line doesn't have to be the same and we can choose how our digimon digivolve. That may affect the story line a little, but I think it allows for more oppurtunaties to create and have fun with our digimon. Don't you think?

I'll probably join, so I call dibs on Ryudamon a Digimon that my friend suggested to me years ago for a RP.

Also some ideas:
+I think everybody sould start with In-Training Digimon, not Rookie, so it's more fair.
+We sould either use the first anime season or the second as a plot basis, or come up with an original plot.
+You know how season one had the crests, and season two had the eggs? We could do somehting semiliar with a thing I like to call Digi-Gems, and they would be the following:
Courage Digi-Gem
Friendship Digi-Gem
Love Digi-Gem
Sincerity Digi-Gem
Knowledge Digi-Gem
Reliability Digi-Gem
Hope Digi-Gem
Light Digi-Gem
Kindness Digi-Gem
Dark Digi-Gem (just for sake of balancing with Light)

Like how the Crests induce Ultimate digievolution forms (correct me if I'm wrong) and how Eggs induce Armor digievolution, the Digi-Gems would induce their own special form of Digievolution, which I call Gem Digievolution.

If we end up using this concept, I call dibs on the Courage Digi-Gem

@Scriptless - Good game, three digimon would be an interesting twist, but the anime series and whatnot makes the digimon actually have personalities other then the odd few words your partners say in W3.

@Miles Castea - Very good idea with the gems, in perfect honesty though I was thinking If we used crests, or gems like you suggested, we make our own, jsut to make it seem a little more original.


Personally I am really torn between season 1 and season 3 for style :/ (I nulled my vote)

I love that series.


I like the card power-up style of season 3 and I like the season 1 Digital world.
Maybe we could use both somehow?

X-Evolution, = Digimon movie 8.

Also, I'm opposed to the ideas of Crests/Eggs/Gems. If I wanted to go through these plot points, I would rather watch season 1-2 again.
Then again these are reoccuring elements to the digimon world, so if we are to use them, I'd rather have them on the side than be the major plot device.

I wouldn't want them as the main plot, but as a side, "Oh hey! this is a big stone, wow its shrinking? its my crest?!" you know?

The problem with the crests is that we don't know how many people will want to join in this RP and remain in it, so I agree that it will probably be better off as something on the side. That is assuming we want this to stay familiar to the anime.
Although, even if we don't stay close to the anime, people might be forced to choose a crest that they may not want to have, and choosing a digimon to go with that crest.


Maybe if we go with the Card Power-up system, that could be part of the main storyline, the crests could be cards to allow a specific digimon to digivolve into a new form. At least that way, it would be a way for everyone to have a crest that they want and it wouldn't be too forceful on the plot, it would just be with the cards.

With the crests though, I was thinking people make their own, that way, unless you and someone else think alike, you pick yor own original crest.

I want to join I loved digimon when I was younger. I would prefer cards/crests or 4th season style spirit evolution. But in anyway I'm joining .

I think a digimon starting in either rookie or in training could be optional to the Rper.

If it has to be one or the other my vote would go to season 2.

Season 1 mainly because DNA digivolution mainly would be hard to write dialog. I also call dibs on patamon.

In the video games, I have only played...

world 1 - which in all honesty, I think we would be better off following an anime then this one

world 3 - This is the game if we did games i would prefure, but it might be confusing with us all having 3 digimon, plus the digimon in the game didn't really talk to you.

world 4 - which has the X-virus, and no trainers, i think it is in line with the movie Ryuga mentioned

Rumble arena 2 - we are not rping a game that is like smash bros, straight out.

If we take certain parts from season 1, 2 and 3 and make a different plot than any of the previous seasons, I think it would work out nicely. That, and we get the option to use digi-eggs, crests and battle cards. The option for these different digi evolutions allow us to actually create our own digimon and digivolve it the way we want to, be it with a crest or an egg or what have you. I'm not saying you have to use all of the options to digivolve your digimon, but there is still the option too. IMO, I'd like to keep the adventuring mostly in the digital world with a few things in the real world on the side, much like season 1.



I'm with Omnial on this one, too. If you call dibs on a Digimon, you better darn well show up. If you don't, well, I'd say your 'dibs' becomes void.

That could work out nicly, since we all know there is almost always more then one copy of a card, as such thwere would be no fretting over one person having a specific crest and some being stuck with crests they hated.

Lol, it's a good idea is it not? And Omnial's idea of using cards for such digi-evolutions makes it a whole lot easier.
