Today...

A hooded man walked around the the lower living areas of the Omega space station. The several corridors were dirty and filled with trash, sometimes blocking the way. The man walked through the rusty metal alleyways, being careful not to touch the trash that filled it. He was suddenly confronted by a small Blood Pack mercenary group. Two vorchas and a krogan, the krogan walked in closer to the human and pointed out his pistol. "You choose a bad place to get lost, human. Pass over your val-" Before the krogan could finish the sentence the human grabbed his arm and twisted it, the human's hand was surrounded in element zero. As the krogan dropped his pistol a loud cracking sound echoed through the alleys. The human pushed the krogan aside. "Krogan incapacitated, two enemy vorcha remain." The vorcha were startled and reached out for their weapons.

The human stretched out his other hand, again with element zero flowing around it. One of the ammo packs that were strapped to the vorcha's belt contracted upon itself and exploded, killing both of the vorcha in the resulting explosion. The blast also made the human's hood fall back, showing his dark brown hair and red tinted glasses. Tyler drew his pistol and pointed it at the krogan's head, who was down on the floor, almost reaching for his gun with his other hand. "Switching to inflamable rounds." The pistol started emmiting red lights. "Chances of victory are null, i suggest you surrender." The krogan disregarded it and tried to headbutt Tyler. "Krogan never surr-" Tyler used his free hand to blast the krogan against the wall with biotic powers, and then started shooting him several times until he was dead.

As the scorching krogan corpse burnt away, Tyler put his pistol back in his belt and proceeded into moving to the marked location. He arrived at the location and faced the locked door, he knocked. A synthetized AI voce responded. "A password is required to enter." Tyler fixed his glasses in place. "Normandy." The door opened and Tyler walked inside, the door closing behind him. The AI spoke again. "There are other people who are still to come, the Illusive man asks for your patience." Tyler nodded and looked around the room. It looked like a normal meeting room, a long desk in the middle, surrounded by several leather chairs. The place at the top of the table was replaced with a hologram platform. There were no other exits other than the one he had just walked through. He took the seat closest to him and opened up his omni-tool. "Activate music player option."

Uncharted Space - Aboard the Mythril

Abel let out a low whistle when he saw the message. "A million credits? Damn. I don't care if I have to do the Devil's work, that's good money." He stood up from his captain's chair. "Guys, I'm leaving." The crew let out a surprised cry. "I got a job to save humanity from Cerberus."
One of the crew laughed. "Since when did you give a shit about humanity?" The rest joined him.
"I got a million creds up front with a promise that more will be coming. They say they want the best of the best so it's no surprise I was chosen. You guys have been loyal so I'll put in a good word if we need a crew. I'll take my cruiser so go and do whatever without me.

Today..

Abel had changed into his white formal wear to make a good impression and was now walking the streets of Omega. Most people didn't bother him because he knew who he was and he was on good terms with Aria so he was free to do whatever he wanted here.
Two thugs were brawling in the alley he tried to go through. "Outta the way, losers," Abel said and kicked one.
"Who the hell are-" one began but then his eyes widened when he recognized the man standing in front of him. "Oh my God! You're Abel Mikami! You're a legend!"
"So I'm told, now beat it," Abel said and they scrambled to get out of his way. It wasn't long before he arrived at the designated meeting spot. "This must be it." He knocked on the door and was asked for a password. "Normandy." The door slid open and Abel walked inside. He looked around and noticed one other person already here. "Sup?" Abel said and gave him a nod. "You here for the "save humanity" gig too?"

Sting was tapping away at his computer, sorting out a small technical problem with the onboard virtual display unit when a message popped up on the screen:

"ooo! a message from the outside space. Oh wow! I have been chosen. I like the sound of that." He read on "yes.. yes... yes..... Interesting, very interesting. I'll get going as soon as i fix this dam display unit!"

Today

He disengaged the light speed driver and slowed to a steady 400 km a second. The station came closer, and at a better range for the naked eye. "Wow" He whispered to himself. "Now just got to find a place to hold up."
Nicsp
Tyler's eyes instantly turned to face the man who had just entered, he scanned Albel for a second and started talking. "Albel Mikami? Would never have expected Cerberus to be recruiting space pirates, i hope they know what they're doing." Tyler stood up and walked up to Albel "Not just humanity, if there's truly a "Reaper" threat, all living species are in danger." Despite making quotation marks with his hands when he said the word "Reaper" he seemed actually concerned. "I wouldn't expect a pirate to care much about that, however." Tyler stretched out his hand for a handshake. "Tyler Coust. Ex-C-Sec Officer, solved one-hundred and twenty-six criminal cases during the one year i worked in the citadel, fifty smuggling operations, forty murders, twenty robberies and six cases of vandalism. Kicked out for unnaceptable treatment of suspects. Torture, Mostly."
Sparrowsmith
Alecka was sat alone on a Citadel bench, her black trench coat encompassing her. She tilted her head back and gazed up at the stars. One million credits is very tempting, but she could hardly risk it if it's a trap... Still, money was money, and she needed it. Using her biotics she brought a pebble from across the street to her hand, then she threw it again and repeated.
Finally she stood up and proceeded to the location she'd been given.
She waited by the door for a few moments, it was less than welcoming. On the way she'd found seemingly dead bodies and ash. She swallowed her doubts and tried to enter.
"A password is required to enter"
Alecka thought for a moment. She'd only briefly scanned the message, but thanks to her Salarian qualities she managed to picture it again.
"Normandy" she replied confidently, taking out her Pistol and aiming it in front of her. She entered the room and saw two men, one of whom she recognized as a pirate. She pointed her gun, then noticed Tyler, a C-Sec officer known for his ruthlessness against criminals. She half lowered her gun,
"So, is this thing genuine or do I need to bring my gun back up?" she asked cautiously.
Vortex Ribbon
Cirrus's curiosity could be witheld no longer. The message he had received was what he had wanted, no needed for months since his vendetta against the criminals of Omega, and now he'd have a chance to bring much larger-scale peace. Assuming that the message was genuine. Credits were nice, but 1,000,000 Credits? That was irresistable to him, even though he tried to keep up his selfless Charade.
So there he stood. His Pistol in one hand, Element-Zero dripping hatefully from the other, pleading Cirrus to use it to shed blood. Maybe he would. But no matter what happened, Cirrus knew he was prepared, so with a triumphant burst of energy, he used his specialized Vanguard training, Charging at immense speeds towards the door, stopping only a few inches away from it. Looking back, he saw where he had previously been standing-- his Biotic Charge was certainly improving.

Cirrus leant in towards the door, hearing low voices inside. He knew what would come next, and as a grin crept through his scaley face, he said smugly:

"Normandy... a password derived from the famed Captain Shephard I suppose?"

And with that, he set foot in the door as it slid open, shedding brief light on Cirrus's sensitive eyes. He gazed around, briefly analyzing the party inside, and stopped as he saw an all-too familiar face.

"Abel mother f***ing Mikami...... it's understandable that they'd choose someone with your skills.... but my God, you're lucky that my order prevents me from killing a comrade.... and I use that word loosely, though that'swhat we are from now I suppose."

He then noticed the two Salarians, and let out a long, irritant sigh.

"I hate how much I love Salarians. Our races are surprisingly similar in several ways...... and I hate them for it, as much as I like, and understand them for it..."

And with that, an odd interruptive introduction, Cirrus took a seat.
Nicsp
(I guess the way how Tyler speaks and Sparrow mentioning his character's Salarian abilities kinda confused Vortex >.>)

"Use logic. This couldn't be possibly a trap. If it was, we would have been ready to attack as soon as you entered. The room wouldn't be properly organized and ready for a meeting. And i wouldn't be answering this." Tyler put his hand on his chin. "Unless of course it was some sort of long-term plan with intents on tricking you later, on wich case, it would still be possible. However, if that was the case. The fact i just said this out loud would prove that i didn't know about it either, although i could be lying. However, when people lie their eyes twitch slightly to the left, mine didn't. But then again i doubt you were paying attention to that. Uhm...I'm blabbing." He shook his head and nodded at the Asari. "Anyways, the name's Tyler Coust. You? Oh...And put then gun away, will you?" As Tyler finished that last sentence he put both of his hands behind his back, element zero charging. "We wouldn't want anyone to do something ruthless, now, would we?" Just then, a drell entered the meeting room, Tyler canceled his charge. "One more...Wonder how many more people will be coming."
Sparrowsmith
[yeah I'm Asari, sorry bout that tongue.gif I should of made it clearer]

Alecka lowered her pistol and placed it back in its holster then she replied to the human, "Please, I might be a fantastic shot with this but I could pop your eye with a pebble from the other end of this hall using my biotics, though I assume half the people in this room are packing mind powers. Bunch of radiation jackers." She laughed almost childishly, then sat down in one of the chairs as Cirrus entered.
"So how do we kill time? Anyone got cards?"
Satou Asahira
"Whoa, chill people," Abel said and raised his hands. "Let's all just calm down. We're gonna be working together now, right? I know a lot of you don't like me. Hell, I know at least a couple of you hate me. But I take care of my crew. Which is you guys now. So let's put away our guns and our fancy Element Zero and whatever the hell you use, and just sit down." He sat at one of the chairs and propped his legs up. "In case any of you don't know me, I'm the renowned space pirate Abel Mikami. I took over the family business from my pops and the rest is history. Believe it or not, I do give a fuck about saving the galaxy and whatnot. If everybody died, who would I steal from? Am I right?" he asked with a laugh. "So who wants to go next?"
Sparrowsmith
Alecka eyed Abel coldly, "Oh please, everyone knows who you are Abel, but if it pleases the choir I'm Alecka Salar, expert marksman with short range weaponry and almost any gunnery equipment known to starships, I'm also pretty handy with biotics..." She looked around sarcastically, "I'm a Libra and I enjoy handstands, next!"
She directed her attention to Cirrus and Tyler
Nicsp
Tyler scratched the back of his head. He took back his previous seat and took out a small pen from his jacket's pocket, he started playing with it as he spoke. "I am Tyler, Tyler Coust. Native of Eden Prime. Wasn't accepted at the Citadel's intergalactic cartographic university, i got a hundred per cent scores on all of the exams and was accused of cheating. Didn't have enough money to go back to Eden Prime and joined C-Sec. Been working there until last year when i got kicked out for not treating suspects appropriately." He took a pause, set the pen on the table, then took off his glasses and started cleaning them with his sleeve, his eyes were light green. "Fingerprint...Anyways, i'm also a biotic, learned how to handle pistols and submachineguns at C-Sec and learned kickboxing back at Horizon, been practicing and improving ever since."

Tyler put his glasses back. "Psychologists back at C-Sec also said i was obssesive compulsive, that claim has no fundaments." He looked at his pen and then fixed it in place so it would be parallel to the table's borders. He then leaned forward on the chair and rested his chin on his hand. "Cerberus did not only hire a criminal but is also hiring non-humans, most interesting." Tyler looked around the room once again. "Judging by the number of chairs avaible, i think there are more people yet to come." He noticed the chair beside him was not parallel to the table, he fixed it into place.
Vortex Ribbon
[Haha sorry about that mix up :-P]

Cirrus let out a long sigh before allowing the somewhat embarrased smile to pop up on his face.

"Well... I'm Cirrus Kotell and clearly a Drell, a somewhat rare race. Quite renown for triumph over the gangs of Omega, land where I grew up. Only temporary triumph of course. I run in guns blazing, discreitly observing opponents and surroundings. I'm even doing so right now. Drell 'Abilities' often get in the way, meaning occasional flashbacks to major events in life. Often switch back to certain gunfights, mainly with Eclipse. Tough men. Very tough. Bullets flying, every direction... yellow suits of Armour coated in pure Element-Zero, as comrades fly through my eyesight, glass tearing at my face every few momens as the office building practically falls apart. Blurs of dark muddy coloured blood soar through the main generator room, re-painting my very face in a vile colour. Prayers are muttered from South-East by comrades, mockery is roared from North-West by golden foes.... finally Tha-.. Uh... I'm.. sorry about that.... I can't get a hold of.... nevermind. Try to use as little words as possible, typical Drell and Salarian fashion. More reason for personal love, hate situation with Salarians. Interested hugely in ancient Technology and History of Earth, from before their 'Big Discovery'. Never taken an exam, survey, test before, and never joined club or job before. Completely off the radar. Or so I thought, Cerberus found me so not so secretive perhaps?"

After his speech, Cirrus rose to his feet, planting his webbed, padded left hand's soft fleshy cover against the wall, with his right rooting harmlessly in his silk, delicate pocket-- he hadn't had time to change into combat clothing before arriving. From the pouch in his trousers, he drew a small Swichblade which had rusted nearly completely, and a phrase lay indented into its blade, a golden chain dangling from it with a picture of an Asari in it-- it was a locket.

"This woman." He began. "She is the reason I come here, and seek this essential peace. I tell you this without trusting you, only so that you know I'm not here for any friends, and I don't give a damn about Cerberus. That is all..." And finally, he took his seat again, closing his vertical eyelids over his large black eyes which flickered under the room's light. He waited to see who else would join, if anyone.
Sparrowsmith
Alecka looked at Cirrus curiously, "She means a lot to you, doesn't she?" she leaned over to him, then turned back, "Sorry, that was personal... I just... Nevermind."
She looked around impatiently before shouting, "Why is everybody taking so long?"
Nicsp
Tyler took a heavy sigh. As he laid back in his chair he noticed that there was something below the table. He got off the chair and reached out for it. It was some sort of datapad. "Hey, found something." Tyler started typing away at it and suddenly the lights on the room turned off. The room was then quickly relit when the hologram floor at the top of table lit up. The image slowly started forming itself, a human, using a suit. He was sitting in his chair relaxedly, smoking. His hair was short and gray and his eyes were of a very light blue color, he had cross-shaped pupils, probably implants. Tyler returned to his seat. "Illusive man...I guess it was expected you would be the one using the hologram." The Illusive man took a puff of his cigarrete and then put it aside. "A necessary precaution, the views of most people on Cerberus is rather bad and i didn't want to take my chances with C-Sec." Tyler shook his head. "Ex C-Sec"

The Illusive man's eyes scanned the whole table. "I see we're missing a few people...That's fine, i suppose. I will recontact them later." Tyler crossed his legs and slightly dropped his head to the side. "Cut to the chase, you want us to go on a mission together, isn't that it?" Tyler spun his pen in hand and then put it back in his coat's pocket. "Quite a weird team you've assembled, with non-humans, even." The Illusive man took a pause and then answered. "This isn't just about humanity, all living beings are in danger with this threat and i had to assemble the best team possible. Each of you are the best at what you do. Navigating, shooting, commanding, researching..." He took another puff of his cigarrete. "I have also assembled a special ship for this team, you will find it's information in this datapad, just a moment." The Illusive man started pressing a few buttons on his chair. A small slot appeared on the center of the table. "Tyler, if you will."

Tyler nodded, he approached the slot and inserted the holopad into it. In a few seconds, a huge hologram of the ship was floating just above the table. The ship seemed to be equipped with top-notch equipment, there seemed to be enough rooms to hold little more than ten people in it. The Illusive man started explaining. "This will be your ship for this mission. The Phoenix. I have devoted a lot of Cerberus resources on this ship. The previous ship used for these missions, The Normandy, Still had a few issues while facing off the Collectors. This new ship, despite it's size, should be able about enough to handle anything you bump into." Tyler leaned forward in his chair and examined the ship. "Impressive."
Sparrowsmith
Alecka leaned into the hologram, her face lit up, "Check out the guns! They have Thanix Magnetic-Hydrodynamic Weapons on this! But what's with the size? The Normandy was at least twice this big."
AdamWired
Sting burst into the room! "It's fixed!" He announced as he jumped round the table and sat in the closest spare seat available. "The hologram looked over to him, "Ah, Pilot Sting, you have arrived, nice to see you." "Why thank you" Sting replied confidently. "What do you mean?" One of the people at the table asked, "I fixed my hologram map on my ship, so i knew where to come." He smiled almost childishly. "So what are we all chatting about?"
Nicsp
"We were discussing the mission." Said the Illusive Man. "There are some other matters that i-" Suddenly a loud explosion was heard, the ground shaked. Tyler looked around. "What was that?" The Illusive Man started typing something in his console, a screen appeared in front of him. "It's...The Collectors, they're here. But i thought Shepard had dealt with them." Another loud explosion, the Illusive Man's hologram started to lose connection. "Don't know how the -Bzzzzzzzzzt- You must ge -Bzzzzzzzzzzzzt- Dock four -bzzzt- four. Do you -Bzzzt- me? D -Bzzt- four one f-" Another blast, the hologram shut off and the exit to the room opened. Tyler got up and ran for the door. "Well, you heard the man. Let's get out of here."

Leaving the building, Tyler looked around, he could hear gunfire coming down from one of the alleyways. "Who'dda thought? The mercs are being useful for once." Tyler looked around and perceived his surroundings. "Let's see..." He fixed his glasses in place and closed his eyes. In his mind, he vizualized a map of the whole Omega Space station, based on his surroundings he estimated a current location. Logical entrances to hostiles would be here...Here... He had vizualized a whole map of the Omega station, considering all possible Collectors drop-off points. Tyler turned to the rest of the team. "Considering local maps and logical drop points for hostile troops, i suggest we go that way." He pointed out to an alleyway. "That way isn't the fastest and we're likely to bump into a few obstacles, but chances of hostile detection through that path are the lower, 56%." He looked back at the team. "I...Memorized Omega's map, along with a few hudred others."
AdamWired
The sound from the initial explosions collapsed, but the crackling of gun fire still sounded heavy throughout the building. Sting looked up at the man that ran over to the door, "Considering local maps and logical drop points for hostile troops, i suggest we go that way. That way isn't the fastest and we're likely to bump into a few obstacles, but chances of hostile detection through that path are the lower, 56%... I...Memorized Omega's map, along with a few hudred others."
"That's some precise stuff you've got there." he looked around at the group. "Well come on then, lets go! I want to see this ship!"
Satou Asahira
Abel stood and cracked his knuckles. "Damn, I left my guns in my cruiser," he said. "I'll have to call in a favor then. I just hope this doesn't ruin my outfit, these are my good clothes!" He reached into his pocket for a cell phone and flipped it open. "Hey, Aria...about that time back on Lorak? Good times, huh? You haven't forgotten what I did for you right?" He burst out laughing. "I guess I'm still an open book to you, huh? Really? Such generosity is unbecoming of you. Well whatever, I just hope it doesn't bite me in the ass later. See you around, baby." He hung up and walked outside with the others. He was met by three armored mercs.
"Mr. Mikami," one said and saluted. "We're here to help you get to safety." He handed Abel a pistol. "Take this. Aria said you might be unarmed."
Abel laughed again. "Am I really that predictable?" he asked and scratched the back of his head. "Oh, well. We're headed to dock 414, boys. Mr. C-Sec here apparently has a computer in his brain so we'll follow his lead." He grinned looked at Cirrus. "Aren't you glad to be teamed up with a criminal like me?"
Sparrowsmith
Alecka withdrew her pistol and held it in front of her, prepared for any attack. She was a little confused what had happened, but tried to keep her head, most of all she was just glad the mercs showed up. All Alecka was sure of was that they had to go to dock four-one-four.
Vortex Ribbon
Cirrus didn't open his eyes until the hologram was completely gone.

"It's understandable that we'd be attacked here. Like this. Though how did the 'Collectors' find us....? Or rather, whoever it was that hired them-- how did THEY fid us?" Cirrus said in a loud whisper to himself, before chuckling at Abel. "Yeah... I love criminals, but not you. Your problem is that your not like other criminals-- you're not easy to kill." And finally he stood up, drawing his Shotgun from his back. He left the room, sighing with relief when he saw that the Mercanaries were helping, but in the chaos of the attack, a civilian had turned violent and attacked Cirrus in an insane burst of rage and confusion, the kind that would usually spark a riot. Cirrus dropped his Shotgun on the ground, scratched his nose once, and entered a fighting stance as the human reached mere metres away. Cirrus stretched out his left hand, grabbing the Human by the back of the neck and delivering a swift snap kick with his right leg to the man's right hip. Finally, Cirrus squirmed himself around the man, grabbing him from behind in a sleeper hold. As the man fell unconscious, Cirrus kicked him in the back with all his strength, sending him forward a few metres, completely out cold. Cirrus then used his Biotics to pull his Shotgun towards him, and held it by his hip in both hands as he jogged towards Taylor, passing by Alecka, briefly glancing at her:

"Yes. She was." He said before continueing, knowing two things:
They were in danger.
If they escaped danger, they'd have a ship waiting for them.
Nicsp
Tyler nodded and ran down the streets of Omega, constantly making turns at times to one side and at times to another, the usual would be to think he was running in circles. Suddenly, a large group of humanoid creatures was seen heading in to interecept the crew. Their skins were brown and resembled insects, they had two pair of yellow eyes that shined slightly. "Those are the Collectors...?" Tyler muttered. They fired and since Tyler was leading the group the shot went straight in his direction. He answered the shot with his open palm and a biotic barrier stopped the slug round before it could reach it's target. "Recalculating." Tyler entered an alleyway took a different path. After a bit more of running they found themselves in a rather open part of the station, it seemed clear of hostiles, however. Tyler rushed in through the area and saw a single collectors walking in his direction. "Single hostile unit, taking down." Since Tyler was relatively close he decided to use hand-to-hand combat, he jumped in the collector's direction with a flying kick. A voice echoed from the Collector.

"ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL."

Before Tyler's kick connected, his leg was grabbed mid-air by the collector. Several cracks opened on the collector, they shined almost as if they were magma. The Collector's eyes started shining even brighter than before. Any biotic could also feel that the Collector's element zero reserves had increased drastically in a short amount of time. "Shit." The Collector spun Tyler around by his leg and then threw him in the rest of the group's direction. A loud cracking sound was heard as Tyler was thrown. He fell on the cold metal floor, immediatelly holding his leg. The Collector stood upright and faced the rest of the group, as if about to talk. "I am Harbinger." He looked around the group. "From the data received, it was expected that Shepard had been brought back to life once again. He is not here, however, disappointment." Two of the armored mercs that were sent by Aria charged into Harbinger's direction. Harbinger used both hands and emitted two biotic attacks that hit each one of the mercs, they were both sent flying backwards, in flames. Harbinger continued. "Even so, you are a threat and shall be dealt with, immediately." As he said that, Harbinger threw another biotic attack, this time aimed right at the group.
Sparrowsmith
Alecka reacted fast and tried to shield as many people as she could, she grimaced as the attack made contact, knocking her back. Annoyed and thrilled, she drew her pistol with one hand and returned a biotic attack with the other.
Harbinger, whatever it was , managed to escape the attack. Confidently Alecka fired four shots towards the collector, but only one made contact and even then didn't seem to do too much.
"Oh come on, they're usually dead by now!"
Vortex Ribbon
Cirrus used his Vanguard training to its fullest, by using his Biotic Charge which sent him crashing through a pair of the insect creatures who he thought had to be 'Collectors'. As the two fell back several metres, Cirrus dived upon one, holding it up from behind and using it as a Meat Shield while he fired at the other one who had reached its feet. When it finally fell dead in several pieces, Cirrus held the Shotgun against his Shield's face.

"Bang." He muttered, and his Shotgun echoed it in a thunderous roar which sent the rancid blood of the Collector spiralling across Omega's dull grey street and onto a bright pink neon sign. "Hey buddies! I have a present for ya' all! She's a hotty!" He shouted, and suddenly a projection of blazing heat stretched across the side of his gun, and the guns of his new 'comrades', He began firing at a Collector that sprinted to him with some fancy laser gun, but even with its Incendiary boost, his newly-drawn Pistol did mediocre damage--
and it was meant to be a powerful Pistol even without Flaming Bullets, capable of making people go boom. Even so, Cirrus dodged the rays of the Collector's gun, and continued to fire mercilessly at it; all done with a satisfied grin cloaking his scaley lower face.

But when the Collector finally fell dead, Cirrus's smile sunk swiftly when he saw Tyler being flung to the group like a ragdoll by the Collector.

"This is impossible.... why is he so much stronger than the rest..!? He's changed, not only physically.... but he's more powerful in terms of Biotics, and seems more physically strong and alert....... Bu-" Before Cirrus could finish, a large blast of Black Biotic Flame (I assume the Biotic attack you're talking about is that black fire one, if not I'll remove that bit) raged towards the group-- he coudn't save the group, only himself, so this attack would seperate the weakest and the strongest of the lot. A glowing purple wall of Element-Zero radiated in front of Cirrus, and he put far more strain on his body than he usually would.

"R-room... for one m-......more...." He said to the group, inviting any one of them to get behind the Barrier with him. For a few moments, he admired Alecka for trying to save some of the group, but cringed out of immense pain, being forced to one knee as the blast hit.
"I never did.... focus much on my.... B-Barrier.... now I pay.... for it..."
Satou Asahira
(I think everybody took a crack at it already so I'm gonna finish it off so the battle doesn't go forever if that's okay with everyone. Also, Abel has a really foul mouth. If someone has an issue with it, let me know and I'll stop swearing so much.)

Abel ducked behind Cirrus's shield just in time to avoid it. He clapped Cirrus on the shoulder. "Well shit, I owe you my life now," he said with a laugh. "Guess we gotta play nice until I can return the favor." Once the attack had passed, Abel ran out on the offensive. He dropped the gun the mercs had given in favor of the blade he always kept hidden. "Time for the deus ex machina, you son of a bitch!" he yelled as he rushed toward it. It threw another mass of energy at him but he jumped to avoid it and brought his sword down on top of it, slicing its head clean off.
"I will return to end your lives. Just as I have destroyed the Protheans before you, so too will I obliterate you," the Collector said before melting into ash.
Abel stood after a moment and wiped the sweat from his brow. "Damn, I don't think I could have done that alone. I suppose some gratitude is in order," he said to the others. "You have my thanks." He looked at the charred corpses of the mercs. "I suppose Aria will want to be paid for that. Fuck, I knew this would bite me in the ass." He sighed. "Well then, Mr. C-Sec, let's rock."
AdamWired
Sting rushed into the area, ready for anything, until he saw the melting corpse drifting away into death. He sighed, "Oh well, no fun for me. Let's go and see this fucking ship, at least then i might have something to get my hands on." He spoke disheartened, and stomped off in the direction the C-Sec guy was indicating.

Short While Ago...

Buer recieved a message that notified of an assembly. He was sitting at his desk, bored and anxious. His daily routine was constant and neverending. He wanted more. He and his team have been studying the same resources over and over, but it was not enough. By the time he even reached the hallway, just outside his office, he heard the siren of intruders. Just then, shots were fired. Quickly, Buer re-entered his office and grabbed his Volkov sniper rifle along with his incinerating rounds. Bursting back out into the hallway, he rushed for his transit car, given personally as a gift from Aria, for his "technological services."

The Now...

After a brief battle with a few collectors, using his transit car as sniper advantage, he came upon a large opening and spotted a dead collector by the feet of some sort of rally of different types of people. Humans, Asari, another Drell...and Salarians...? The transit car hovered above the platform and slowly descended. As the door opened, Buer quickly got out and aimed his rifle at the group. A brief silence emerged before Buer spoke, "You took down that collector? Well played." he lowered his weapon and kneeled beside the collector's ashes. With two fingers he swept the remains of the creature and rubbed it with his thumb. "Hmph...the harbinger." Buer said as he rose. "Before this one died, he changed, didn't he? Through my research, I've learned that Harbinger is somewhat the leader of these creatures. At any time, he is able to take control of one of the lesser collectors. If I can ju- err...nevermind. We must get to safety. Omega isn't safe anymore. If you need to get someone quickly, you can use my transit car.

Alecka looked back, "Tough luck there kid, Cirrus, Abel, that was some quick thinking. I think I'm gonna like this team."
She kept walking forward, stepping over the bodies of the collectors, "But if we run into something like that again I'll want answers from cerberus." She continued walking but kept feeling a little light headed, she hadn't used biotics that much in a battle in some time, this was going to be fun.
[OoC Sniped pinch.gif ]
Alecka looked at the new arrival, "By any chance are you one of the people who didn't show up... And if so, what's the password?" She looked at the ash and nodded, "Well that's interesting..."

((I agree, we should really hurry this trip to the ship a bit. Hope nobody minds the 'Dock coming into view' in my post))

Cirrus regained his footing, and looked at the new arrival, laughing under his breath at Alecka's 'Welcome'. Instantly afterwards though, he got serious again, and used his Biotic charge to burst ahead of Tyler, and accidently smashing through a dead Collector, splitting its corpse in two. He bashed against a low wall with high impact, running from cover to cover ahead of the group, scouting out any other enemies that they may encounter. At that moment, he remembered something-- he had given the Squad Incendiary ammo, and now there was a new guy. Once again he activated the fiery surprise, giving the new guy's weapons that much more kick, before shouting the same joke as before, back at him:

"Here's a present, she's a hottie eh!?" He didn't care that he had repeated himself. As far as Cirrus knew, he wouldn't be with this group for too long anyway, so he didn't care what they thought about him and his jokes, which he thought were brilliant.
Before long, of continuously jumping to cover, a Shipping Dock came into Cirrus's sights.
Spirit_Master_X
Buer watched the rampant Cirrus speed ahead of the group. He shook his head and turned to the others. "I assume he is part of your team? He's going to get himself killed if he keeps running off like that. " Buer moved toward his car and unlocked the second door. He turned to the others. "It is up to you, whether you want to walk or fly."
Satou Asahira
"Hold it," Abel said and picked up his pistol. He aimed it at the newcomer. "I agree with Alecka. What's the password? I'm not going anywhere with you unless you know it. I didn't become the most notorious space pirate in the galaxy by trusting everyone who offered to give me a ride. How do we know you're not with the enemy? You seem to know a lot about the Collectors. Who are you anyways?"
Sparrowsmith
Alecka approached Abel, "I rue the day the only one on my team who finds common ground with me is a pirate, but if that's the case then I'm standing by it. After all, I doubt our employer would be grateful if we just invited people on board when he went to such extreme measures to keep out anyone but the best, he chose us and he gave us the password, without it I wouldn't walk so far as to the ship with you, never mind letting you on. It's like Abel says, you don't get to the top by making mistakes"

Tyler used a nearby crate as support to lift himself, Harbinger throwing him around like a ragdoll had apparently strained a muscle or two on his leg. He seemed to be in a certain pain as he yelled out. "Who cares for the password? If he was working with the Collectors i don't think he'd have bothered to tell us about Harbinger." He grabbed a small piece of scrap from the floor and set it below one of his arms, using it as a crutch. He muttered at a lower tone. "Besides, it's not like we can't deal with a single drell if he tries something." Tyler used his free hand to point ahead, to the direction Cirrus had just went to. "The docks are just ahead so we won't be needing the vehicle." Tyler started clumsily making his way in direction to the docks, he turned to the Drell that had just showed up. "By the way, i'm Tyler, you?" He then looked back to see a small Collector squad coming from the path behind, being leaded by another "Harbinger". "Guess there's no time for social!" Tyler sped up his pace.
Spirit_Master_X
Buer looked to Abel and Alecka. The two wanted to know if he knew the password, but Buer felt no need to comply. It was just as Tyler said, he wouldn't have told them about Harbinger if he was working with the collectors.

"To my understanding" said Buer, "Collectors do not work well with other species. Their minds are similiar to the geth. They are connected. One collector can tell the difference between mates. The protheans also carried the same types of feelings. It would seem both the collectors and the protheans are one and the same, with the additional recipe of the Reapers."

He sighed and nodded to the party. "I may not have introduced myself clearly. My name is Buer Cougar. I'am a science researcher on this station. My studies led me across the universe away from my homeplanet. My career has been ranged in both Alliance tactics, technology advancement, and the study of resources. An-" Buer was cut short by another visit from the collectors and another harbinger controlled one. He growled, "We must move, hurry!|" Buer ran past the group and took a knee, while aiming and firing upon the collectors that approached them. "Go! I will cover you!"
Satou Asahira
"Tyler! Wait-!" Abel called after him. It was too late. "Dammit." He listened to the man named Beur give his introduction and background. "Look, none of this is the passwo-" More Collectors showed up, the Harbinger with them. Beur offered to stay back and provide cover while the group escaped. "Don't go dyin' on me," Abel said. "Still need that password." He smirked and waved before running after Tyler. He could see the ship now, and it was beautiful. "Damn!" he said with a grin. "Can't believe that baby's mine!"
Vortex Ribbon
((There are 5 referances from games/comics/films etc. hidden in my post. Try to spot them all ;-] ))

Cirrus cursed and dove behind cover when another 'Super Collector' approached. Even in the current danger, he couldn't help but smirk at the idea: A Collector with red undies and a red cape being shot at, the bullets ricocheing in every direction as a train smashes into him.
He doesn't even flinch.

"Ahh... I need to write one of them 'Web Comics'..." He lowly said to himself, unable to wipe the huge smile from his face as Super Collector continued to soar around his clearly messed up mind. He leapt from cover when the Collectors passed him by, supposedly not noticing him, and opened fire on them with his Shotgun. Afterwards, he attempted to pull one of them towards him, but to no avail.

"Sons of bitches!" He roared, loud enough even for someone in the Docks to hear. "Why. Won't. You. DIE!? You soak up flaming Shotgun bullets, and can't be thrashed about wildly by Biotics? Then what IS super effective on you super freaks, huh!? You randomly summon your almighty Super Collector, and we kill 'im. Isn't that enough evidence that we can kick your ugly, insect asses!?" Cirrus continued to roar on at the same volume, also continueing to fire at the group from behind a bin. Cirrus then saw Tyler and Abel running, getting closer and closer to him and his Collector hunting party-- they had the advantage. Cirrus was attacking the Collectors from behind, causing many of them to turn and combat him, meaning the pair could take the rest with relative ease.

"I really can't wait to rest on this ship... Please let there be a place to experiment on me ol' gun guns... Maybe a nice cold room to do so-...."
Cirrus's talking to himself/firing at Collectors combination was interrupted when he took what he thought to be a 'Super Death Ray Of Armageddon' to the lower section of his left hip, knocking him backwards onto the ground, and also forcing him to bring his left arm down onto the gapeing wound, meaning he couldn't hold his prized Shotgun in both hands. "How... can I... aim n-now...?" He said to himself with a small toothy slit across his mouth that was meant to be a sarcastic smile. This was the facade he hoped for at least, as a Collector walked over to his 'Injured' body, but he was waiting fo it with a Mass victorious grin, which captured the Effect perfectly as e held the Shotgun out. "Boomstick, sha la la" He muttered to it before firing a fiery burst of Thermal Clips in the Collector's mouth, crushing its entire lower face into a pure, gory mess. "I love that song...." He finished before standing up an kicking the squrming Collector in what was left of its head, killing it for good.

(I'm gonna rush everyone to the ship, if you guys don't mind.)

Tyler managed to finally reach the docks, accompanying the others at a good pace, despite his injuries. He threw his makeshift crutch away and entered the ship, upon entering he immediately created a barrier to prevent any fired rounds to hit anyone who was alredy on the entrance to the ship. He signaled everyone to get inside. As soon as everyone had gotten inside he pressed the button to close the outer doors. They closed and the crew was now standing on a small white corridor, there was one closed door that leaded to inside the ship and the other closed door that was being attacked by Collector fire. Tyler looked at the door to enter the ship. "What now?"

A synthetized computer voice emanated from the console by the door, a small light grid started going back and forth between on the corridor. "Decontaminating..." Tyler looked pissed. "Really...?"

"Decontaminating..."

Tyler managed to stood up and started yelling at the console. "GO FASTER, HURRY UP, DAMNIT!"

"Decontaminating..."

"AAAAAAAARGGH!" Tyler started banging on the door.

"Decontamination complete." The door opened and Tyler fell inside, he got up and quickly started making his way to the Operations room, he managed to memorize where it was from the first time he looked at it on the hologram back at the meeting place. "Setting coordinates to the nearby mass relay, providing destination courses. Someone get this ship out of dock."
Sparrowsmith
Alecka dived behind cover and withdrew her pistol, "Alright... But I still don't think Mr.Illusive will be very happy with us." She opened fire immediately, taking out a handful of collectors over the course of a minute. She purposely avoided Harbinger, knowing that there was a chance it'd just jump if they took it out first. It wasn't on the offensive, so hopefully they could just outrun it.
[OoC Sniped 0_O again]
Before Alecka could finish thinking they were moving. She covered the rear, trying to hold off the Harbinger as long as possible. Finally she fell back to the ship.
"Decontaminating"
"Really?!" She shouted, creating a small barrier, much to her pain.
Finally they entered the ship. Alecka tried desperately to find a weapon to control. She closed her eyes and pictured the hologram, then turned to the munitions room and climbed into one of the turrets. As the Harbinger approached she shot it clean through the chest, ripping it to pieces and obliterating it. She threw her arms in the air and cheered, "Gotta love those Thanix Magnetic-Hydrodynamic Weapons!"
She grabbed the controls and began aiming at the remaining collectors.
They seemed to get the picture.

(I'm gonna say Superman, Pokemon, Evil Dead, Predator, and an obvious Mass Effect joke >.>;)

Abel rested his hands on his knees and panted heavily once he was inside. He managed to catch his breath and laughed a little. "Nice work, team," he said. He made his way to the bridge, following Tyler. "Get those coordinates locked in, Tyler!" he shouted, instantly assuming his "captain" persona. "Get those shields up! Who the hell is supposed to pilot this thing? I want us out of here now!" He proceed to the captain's chair and strapped himself it. "Everyone, prepare for relay jump! It's gonna get rough!"
Vortex Ribbon
Cirrus panted lowly with a smirk as the team finally reached what could --at least for a while-- be called safety. He immediately nodded to Tyler who had led the trip, and headed straight for the Engine Room.

"If anyone needs me, which is unlikely, I'll be tinkering with anything I can get my hands on downstairs...." He said, addressing everyone before continueing his walk, pulling a flask of Battarian Ale from his coat and gulping it happily. He realised why Abel had become so successful in his occupation-- he had the leading traits essential to a captain; and wasn't afraid to show it.

Downstairs, Cirrus continued to gulp down the flask and thought about the various members of the crew, and also wondered about the people that didn't arrive. After all, six people wouldn't get very far.
Omnial
(OoC: Dun dun dun dun! Here comes the "good" doctor! lol)

"mmhhmmmm?" Spick had noticed some noise on the ship, and also felt what he assumed to be it taking off, "Why is the ship moving? did those other crew come already? I wonder what they look like?" Spick had his mind set on, "examining" his crew, so he opened the door to from the medical bay and started walking around the ship, going to where the noise seemed the loudest. Ignoring the fact that he still had his gloves on from doing "Inventory" he walked around, making a slight mess when he touched a wall after stumbling a bit, and he finally managed to make it into the operations room. "Why hello, I would assume you are the crew." Spick finall took notice of his bloody gloves, "Do you know the password by chance?"
Satou Asahira
A Salarian had emerged from deeper in the ship. He seemed like he belonged here though and knew of the password. The Illusive Man must have asked him to come aboard before the others. "Normandy," Abel said, with a hint of annoyance. "I'm Abel Mikami, your new captain. Now sit your ass down and buckle up. We're under attack and we're heading out as soon as the pilot takes his place."
Omnial
"You are not the smartest captain now are you?" Spick grinned, "It is pretty common for organizations to give passwords, and if I had not known it before, I surely know it now, You seem a little too trusting. I like that." He took the order and sat down, "The name is Spick, I was asked to be the Medical Officer of this crew, a pleasure to see you all." He looked at the crew, and noticed that they seemed a little tired and or restless, "I would assume you all just had a run in with someone or something you didn't want to, is anyone hurt?"
AdamWired
(OoC: Sorry i haven't been involved much lately, been busy. I'll just try to put myself in)

Before anyone even realised what was going on, the ship whirred into action. Smoothly, yet swiftly lifting up into the air. "Lets get us out of here, and see what this thing can do then yea?" He looked over at the co-ordinator, he gave a slight nod, "We all ready over there?" There was a knowing glance between them. "Right, then lets be off!"...
Nicsp
"Setting coordinates..." Tyler started typing away at his console at an incredibly fast speed, a huge hologram of the whole universe poppep up above the table at the operations room. As Tyler typed, the hologram started to zoom in each time more. "Closest relay jump location, updating." The galaxy map focused on the Hawking Eta Cluster.

The ship launched and headed to the nearest Mass Relay as quickly as possible. Tyler was still typing, until a sudden blast knocked him off his feet. "We're under attack." Following the Phoenix was a huge Collector ship, it didn't seem to be very well though, it looked like it had undergone several repairs. The Phoenix was close enough to the Mass Relay, Tyler got up and typed in and started the mass relay jump. Just as the jump was about to start, the Phoenix took a shot, making it tilt slightly to the side.

The jump started, at first very with a huge recoil, knocking Tyler down to the ground again. As the ship spawned in the Hawking Eta cluster, the slight tilt seemed to have messed up a few of the coordinates for the jump. The Phoenix spawned too close to a planet and started being dragged by it's gravity. Tyler crawled to a nearby chair and sat on it, fastening the seat belt. The ship's systems started letting out warnings.

"Warning, landing speed above the recommended. Warning, landing angle is not recommendable. Warning-"

Tyler was holding tightly to his chair. "Pilot! Get the angle fixed or we'll be smashed against the ground!"
Satou Asahira
"Well played, Spick," Abel said with a smirk when he pointed out that it could have been a trap. "I think we'll get along just fine. Now-" He didn't get the chance to finish as they were struck by a Collector attack. He would have been thrown from his chair if he hadn't thought to buckle in. "Son of a bitch!" he yelled. "Where are my damn shields?! Whose in charge of our weapons and defense mainframe anyways?!" He realized he knew dangerously little about this ship and crew. This did not bode well. "Pilot! I want us on the ground in one piece! Yesterday!"
AdamWired
Sting grabbed the controls. "This is my time to shine!" He shouted arrogantly. "I'll us on that planet easy. Just keep that ship off us!" He stated to flick switches on the dashboard, redirecting the shields energy to the rear of the ship. After setting the defences up to how he wanted them, he clenched the manual steering with one hand, and flicked the lid on the afterburner button with another.
"You can't after burn towards a planet! You wont be able to stop or have enough control with the gravity pulling down on us as well!" And to that he just replied simply: "And where did you hear that?"
As soon as he spoke those few words, a click was heard, and the afterburners sparked into action. The ship firing at them from behind seem to almost disappear with the speed that they were going at, but the planet was coming up closer and closer. Faster and faster.
"Quick, give me a brief of the surface of that planet" He asked, a voice came from someone, he didn't dare take his concentration off the driving to look around:
"Tamahera, a planet with thin atmosphere of carbon dioxide and xenon. The surface is icy, and composed of sodium oxide with deposits of calcium. The presence of canyons and flood plains are prominent, watch out."
"Ok, lets see what we can do."
Using the over power from the after burners, as well as the gravity, he started to feel the pull of the planet drag him in, but this is what he wanted. The ship was just scraping the outer atmosphere now. He lent over and switched the after burners off, just before diving into the full-blown thick atmosphere. The ship shook violently, but he held it true. Swinging around the planet to very slowly loose altitude, he used the power from the afterburners to almost take the ship back out the other side of the atmosphere its self, from this he was able to slow the ship controllably, and slowly take it down to land in a more dignified way.
"There's a good spot to land up ahead, good reserves, looks sheltered, just in a canyon, land there"
Just as the person finished their sentence, the clearing came up ahead. Sting slowed the ship, dropped the legs, and lowered safely into the space provided.
Sparrowsmith
Alecka stumbled down from her turret, she rubbed her arm then addressed the pilot, "That was either magnificent or terrible, it all depends on whether that gun still fires." she slumped down into a console and began checking the weapons systems, she tried a quick report, "It's a little bit stiff but I think the ship's battle worthy. From what I can make out we've got enough power and guns to fight them off if they return, I won't know what shape these are really in until I get a bit of target practice though... Half the time these things are calibrated by amateurs..."
She turned back, "Sorry, I'm rambling, I guess this is when the captain asks when we can get airborne again, I guess we thank our stars this is a Frigate, anything heavier and we would of been torn to shreds..."
Nicsp
Tyler shook his head, he was a bit dizzy from the fall. He took off his seatbelt and slowly made his way to the console, still being a bit hurt. He started typing and then after a moment he turned to Albel. "Ca...Urgh...Captain, i'm afraid we have an issue. The Collector hit seems to have slightly damaged a small part of the hull near the engine room. Nothing major, it's not gonna kill us or anything unless it turns into a hole, but it's fragile right now." He typed a bit more and then continued. "I've detected huge deposits of platinum and palladium nearby, if we found one of those deposits and brough some of the resources here we could fix the hole right here and now." He slowly made his way to a nearby medical station and finally found time to apply medi-gel to his leg. "It's your choice though...Captain."
Satou Asahira
Abel listened to the crew's report. "I want the repairs done now," he said when they were finished. "Better safe than sorry. Besides, we don't have any intel on what to do from here. I don't want to roam the galaxy mindlessly and hope we find something." He rose from his chair. "I'll lead a surface party down to harvest the ore. Anyone who wants to join me is welcome. Otherwise anyone from the meeting earlier is in change while I'm gone." He paused and thought for a moment. "Or if we all go, you guys can just do whatever."
He began typing on his omni-tool. Soon a man's face appeared on the screen. "Boss, is that you?" he said. "Where are you?"
"Long story," Abel said. "Good to see you still have this dedicated channel open."
The man laughed. "Of course, we'd never betray you, Boss."
"I know, I want you to pick five men including yourself and come to the coordinates I'm about to send you. Make sure you aren't followed."
"You got it, Boss!" the man signed off the channel.
"I'm bringing some of my own crew, I trust there are no objections. I'm establishing a hierarchy now. The present crew will answer to my men, my men will answer to the group from the meeting, whom I am hereby dubbing the "Selecao", and the Selecao answer to me. Now, suit up!"
