WANTED:
A group of heroes willing to risk their lives to save my dearest Princess, who has been captured by the evil Prince Prad.
I, King Klad, wish to summon the most noble of warriors in my kingdom to venture out on said quest. A pricey prize will be rewarded to the brave warriors who complete the mission and return my daughter safely to me.
But first, you must prove your worth to me. Only the best will be selected to venture out, my daughter needs to be in safe and protecting hands.
So I need a group of less valuable warriors to venture out with 5 fake crystals I will give you to hide in the depths of Klad forest which is said to be dangerous grounds to wander on. If you should return, you'll be rewarded with cash.
Then I will hire a group of warriors to venture out to seek the hidden crystals and return them to me. The warriors who return with the crystals will be my warriors to save my Princess.
At first it was cool not having her around cause I didn't have to worry about paying a babysitter, but I'm starting to miss her :\
LOL SO. Who is going to be brave enough to hide some fake crystals in the forest? This is basically an oldschool RPG style RP, full of a shitload of stereotypes, as many as you can jam in. For your character, pick a character class like fighter, black mage, white mage, etc... And pick a stereotype. Like fighter obsessed with fighting, mysterious black mage, kind and pure white mage, etc... And then. Just let the stereotypes snowball haha.
This is meant to be a lighthearted RP, not to be taken too seriously : D You can make up to 2 main characters for yourself, and as many NPC's as you like as long as it's not like crazy or too confusing or too much for you to handle. When you make an NPC specify whether they're specifically yours or whether or not others can control them when need be :3

Personality: Calm, cool, laid back. Likes to randomly break out into song in the middle of talking. He likes to try to SOUND poetic and cryptic, but every time he tries what he says is really pointless and retarded lol. He's very "How's it hangin daddy-o" kinda chillaxed. He's also quite lazy.
Background: Lyre was kicked out of his home because of his lack of a job. He now wanders from town to town as a traveller to avoid getting a job. He sings and plays his lute in villages to make enough money to eat, but other than that Lyre never worked a day in his life. He grew up saying work interfered with his arts, but even then he dedicated very little time to his art. Lyre's just plain lazy. He can play a variety of stringed instruments.
Strengths: Singing and playing instruments and mediating. Uses song and music to enchant enemies and cause random status effects.
Weaknesses: Weak, slow, and avoidant.
Weapon: Lute.
Skills: Songs that cause random status effects, and can summon nearby animals to help.
Weak points (element/attack wise): Physical damage. For some off reason magic has very little effect on him.

Homo, I love you. Just wanted to say that before I posted my character.
Name: Fade Reinhardt
Age: 17
Class: Gunner
Personality: quiet, emo, badass, you know, Cloud, Squall
Background: Fade's parents died when he was 5. He was a problem child and none of his relatives had wanted to take him in so he was forced to fend for himself. He lied about his age to join the military but was thrown out for insubordination and getting into fights. Now works as a gun for hire.
Strengths: High agility and accuracy, considers his lack of emotions a strength because he is able to make sound, logical judgments.
Weaknesses: magic, energetic women

They constantly bicker, fight and try to kill each other in their sleep.
Background: Born into the wealthy hands of a professor of dark arts and a holy priest, the two were bound from birth to me mages... Then their parents died horribly when their father tried to bless one of their mother's killing potions.

The two are desperately trying to collect their inheritance, but for some wild absurd and plot driven reason their parents will declares that they must first earn a 'pricey prize'...

Strengths: Between them they can handle all forms of magic, buffs and debuffs
Weaknesses: They wear their parents robes (slightly shortened) so they can't actually battle physically without tripping over their capes... Not to mention they're pre-teens, so they don't have the strength required to wield real weapons anyway.

I was reading this and I was like "What...the...fuck...?" By far the most epic character yet.
I came up with a fun concept reading the topic, but I'm not sure it's alright. If it's not, just tell me and I'll come up with something else.

Personality: Naive and hyperactive. Has an overactive imagination and poor impulse control. Well meaning, but somewhat spoiled.
Background: Elayne is the "kidnapped" princess. Actually, she has just run away from home, fed up with being treated like a child and cooped up in the royal estate. Her father, being the genre savvy old guy he is, has simply automatically assumed she's been kidnapped by some dark lord or another. Mortified that her father still thinks she needs a babysitter at her age (she's a grown woman for crying out loud!), and less than thrilled at the prospect of marrying whatever steroid freak "rescues" her (as these things usually go), she's decided to participate in the king's ridiculous contest for no other reason than rub her capability in his face.
Strengths: Usually gets what she wants one way or another, well educated, fairly powerful black mage.

Background: Hero has amnesia and as such cannot recall most of his past (like he could anyways) But what he does remember is that he has always carried his large sword with him and his bag, both having soem cryptic code on them "Ymmit" Hero has look long and hard for someone to explain the meaning of the word to him, but everyone laughs, then gets punched and then he has to leave town for a while.
Strengths: Very strong, Very durable, Lots of energy
Weaknesses: Very stupid, talks funny, can't read, easily distracted, big words, short tempered. Oh and Shiny objects.

Being a selfish and greedy thief, however, he uses this gift for nothing but self-profit. He hides in the forest because he is sought after by kings from surrounding kingdoms who wish to somehow extract his skills from him. Living in the forest for over half his life, he's now claimed it as his own and terrorizes all who enter in order to steal their belongings.
Strengths: Very quick and nimble, high dexterity and evasion, long range attacks.
Weapon: Throwing knives
Weaknesses: Very weak, low defense, and is easily swayed into doing things for money.
