You've really been churning out those scripts lately shangy and I must say I'm impressed.
I've been looking at main menu melody anyway so why not give this a whirl?

Nice script Shangai, I like the result.
I got an error when I tried to acces the menu though so I was wondering shouldn't line 143 "return if name.nil?" be "return if filename.nil?" ? ^^
Script 'Shangai's Final Fantasy 13 Menu' line 143: NameError occurred.
undefined local variable or method `name' for #<Window_MainMenuParty:0xd0a9748>

If there was anything good about FF13, it's the menu. Great work, I'll have to give this a try when I get back to working on the overall menu appearance of the whole game.

Thanks a bunch for the effort.

Truly amazing script. I may use it for a future project. But not now due to the fact I have alot of menu altering scripts. The equipment screen is beautiful (drooling lol). You make some really good scripts and I look forward to seeing more.

the main menu and equip menu worked just fine
but i got an error with the status menu, i have done the same proces than the equip and the main menu, copied the images of the pocketwiki page, and copied, first Status Menu Melody Script and then the Final Fantasy 13 Status Menu Script, and got this

after this i copied the Core Fixes and Upgrades script and then the error was this

these errors occur when I enter in the status menu in the game
Does anyone know how to fix this?
or maybe someone could upload a working demo

Hi i was wondering what part of the script controls the direction of the character selection?

First things first I love this style, and I can hardly wait for the remainder of scripts for this to come out XD. But saying that I'm having a bit of an issue since switching over to 640x480 resolution with the OriginalWij script. I end up with the Options part overlapping the character name, and the graphic under the item names isn't long enough. Not sure how to fix it, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here's a shot of what I mean:

your script is awesome

,i was wondering though
since we have to specify a certain image for every character in the script,does it support more this script support things like KGC party changer?
or will there be an issue with the images?
Braska
Jul 26 2010, 06:31 PM
It shouldn't be an issue since the picture is linked directly to the actor number and not a particular slot in the active party.

Did you put this script under Yanfly's Equipment Overhaul? It's mandatory.

Yes.
Kread-EX
Oct 9 2010, 12:09 PM
That's really weird, because set_new_actor is defined by Equipment Overhaul. So basically, unless Shanghai's script is placed above, this error shouldn't happen.
To be completely sure, do you have a screenshot of your script editor?

Oct 31 2010, 06:28 AM
No, i just want to playtest my game, but when i start playtest, its open up black window with that error message.
Kread-EX
Oct 31 2010, 06:34 AM
Then it's a problem of conflicting scripts.
Line 75... in theory, your lines 66-75 must be those ones:
CODE
#==============================================================================
# ** Window_Selectable
#==============================================================================
class Window_Selectable < Window_Base
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------
# * Public Instance Variables
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------
attr_accessor :column_max
end
Is that the case?

Oct 31 2010, 06:53 AM

Ryoto

yo shanghai, i've found an error with Vlad's Versus Tempus Proelium HUD, the combination of your scripts and Vlad's causes a bunch of random errors.

You need to get laid when this is finished. You'll deserve it. The only reason why I'm not using it, though I have it saved in txt files with the images already where they need to be, is because I don't want to have to use those particular characters. Oh willies.

Into what? I am not willing to go through the trouble of making new images for the characters that I am using. That is what you meant, right?

I found a crashing Bug.
I have NO other scripts except these two
- Equipment Overhaul (Yanfly)
- This script
The error I get is this:
Line 323 no method error occurred
Undefined Method 'map_name' for #<Game_Map:0x34b2280>Again I have NO other scripts except that which are suppose to be there:
The overhaul script and this one for the FF13 equipment menus
The line it blows out on is:
CODE
text = sprintf(SSS::MENU_LOCATION, $game_map.map_name)
Kread-EX
Jan 5 2011, 12:17 PM
This line is on the main menu, correct? Then you need to import Main Menu Melody - it is required.
Adrien.
